  1. Re: (Req) Great Expert Advisors

I dont agree with you on that. Since, it is not martingale You could always decrease the lot sizes if you are concerned with the risk. And I dont see more than 3 or 4 positions opened at once for a given pair. As a matter of fact I think they have great MM.

You are right since it is not Martingdale per se. It is more like La Bouchere which is same animal with different skin. EA based on good concepts do not open multiple positions as a basket. That is called averaging your entries and it is done by weak concepts. Nevertheless if you are convinced this is a great EA by all means out some of your $$ on it. good luck!

  2. Re: (Req) Great Expert Advisors

    Hi all,

I came across this the other day,

     [url]http://cgi.ebay.com/Metatrader-Expert-Advisor-Forex-EA-Robot-Auto-Trading_W0QQitemZ270402517940QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef53efbb4[/url]

    Here is their website:

    http://ctsforex.com/FOREX-TRADING-SOFTWARE-SELECTION.html

To me it seems they know what they are doing. They offer trial experts as well for very low price.

5 Forex EAs with results published 30 mins

+16,432 pips in 9 months and counting...

    1) Expert advisors with fixed stop loss and fixed take profit on every trade. Take profit is always larger than stop loss following the golden trading rule of cutting the losses short and riding the winners.

    2) Reasonable winning percentage from 45% to 55% and average winning trades are larger than average losing trade.

    3) Live results updated every 30 minutes for full trading transparency. Trading records are greater than 12 months with more than 500 trades.

    4) Select from 5 different profitable trading systems based on investment risk: aggressive, moderate or low.

    5) Fixed trading lot size, with reasonable return.

    6) Our expert advisor can be trial for 2 weeks at $1 and then leased for $98USD per month. Why invest thousands of dollars up front when you can test drive it at a lower cost?

    Happy New Year ALL

If you closely examine their trades you will see the tremendous risk taken with many positions opened at once. Hardly worth the risk. They may not have blown the account in 9 months but its coming soon.. it always does with this approach..

  3. Re: [REQ] FX iRobot (formerly FX Genius)

There is a very ingenious concept out there that I've heard of in connection with latency trading such as this with EA. The concept is called "Tick Syncing" and it basically converts the tick timing coming in from a broker into a usable waveform. This is done for the Master and the Slave and the 2 waveforms are over-imposed onto each other to discover the phase between the 2 (if any). Whomever has the leading phase is considered to be the master and the lagger is the slave. The slave signal generates the trades - same as in the FX iRobo case. If the developer is keen, he obviously read about these on the russian coding forums and he incorporated these concepts in the latest ECN version.

That is what interests me personally about this newer ECN version to see what concept the developer used and perhaps improve on it. The claimed results with the "Tick syncing" are very good but personally I have no experience with it since the developers of the concept are not sharing the code - which brings us to the eternal question of why is the developer selling the EA if he can make millions with it in a very short time?

    Cheers

  4. Don't confuse this EA with another FX iRobot EA that is already posted here. This EA is the new version of the infamous FX Genius that so many people have been scammed with. The same developer decided to start a new website:

    http://www.fxirobot.com/

and gave a new name to his EA. Funny that there is no mention of the FX Genius anywhere on the new website. I will repost here what I posted regarding this new version from the FX Genius thread.

Looks like the developer might have come up with a decent realistic ECN version judging from the attached statement. I wonder why he decided to trade the ECN version at Edge Capital Markets - could this be as crooked as GCG but the ECN version? What this EA needs to work properly is a fast feed (master) and a slow feed (slave) like GCG. Orders are placed at the slow feed broker since it needs to catch up with the fast feed.. no rocket science there. Maybe the Edge Capital Markets ECN feed (if it is a true ECN feed) is slowed down due to some factor like spreading it wider etc. which takes some processing time before releasing it. Looking for an ECN broker that has a "delayed" feed is like looking for the needle in the haystack.. and you are not guaranteed that once the ECN broker sniffs the delay they will not fix it leaving you high and dry.

Nevertheless it is worth investigating.. for those who bought FX Genius I would demand to be sent this ECN version instead. If someone decides to share the ECN version we can all work collectively to find the best combos of brokers. I know for sure that on the Master side it needs to have a fast ECN feed. #1 choice is without a doubt IamFX, CitiFXPro. #2 choices would be JadeFX, ATC. The question remains on the Slave side that needs to be answered.. who has the most sluggish feed?

  6. Re: robot-trading.ciftronik.com

This is the typical Martingdale EA that everybody sells nowadays. It places multiple orders on every 10 pip level and waits for the correction.. If the correction never comes.. account is blown. If you run a backtests on EURUSD H1 from 01-05-2009 you will see that it places 3 trades on 01-08 and then holds on to those trades until 05-20 (4 months!!) for the market to correct. Take better care of your time and protect your hard earned $$.. this one is a dog!

    Best trading

  7. Re: [REQ] Squeeze Play Version 2.1 EA

It definitely is not the same code as ISEA but the concept is very similar. Best thing to convince yourselves of how useless this EA is is to run it a backtest on a broker like Broco that has > 2 pip spread on the EURGBP on M15. The account gets blown after few weeks even at 3 pip spread which is almost impossible to get anyway in real trading. Changing the spread with a program like SymbolsEditor" to 2 pips makes the backtest very profitable.

  8. Re: [req] Marti russian asian scalper

    Fxknight,

Do you have any experiences with the site or other ea's listed on there?

Unfortunately I have never dealt with this site before. But don't waste your time on this EA since apparently it is not the one the is used in the MT4Stats live report. The Marti EA sold on RateSniper is not a good EA. This Japanese website:

    http://tamiful.seesaa.net/

who is owned by the trader "rirenza" erroneously associated this EA to the MT4stats live trading report. We need to figure out which EA he is really using for trading this demo live account:

    http://rirenza3.mt4stats.com/

If anybody can figure it out please post your findings here.

    Cheers

  9. Has anybody ran across this Russian asian scalper?

    It is sold here:

    http://ratesniper.ru/auction_details.php?name=Marti&auction_id=101026

    and live statement is here:

    http://rirenza3.mt4stats.com/

Seems to be very similar to Your_lucky 2.0 and looking to make about ~2.35 pips per trade. Trades USDCHF, USDCAD and USDJPY on M30 and I think broker dependent like many other EAs. Definitely worth to look at and backtest. If anybody could share that would be much appreciated.

  10. Re: The Usless of Expert Advisors!

Most EAs are unidimensional in concept and they have to deal with a multidimensional market. The concept that was good for the last 1-2 weeks (and profitable) will fall out of phase with the market in a very short time and start losing. Most of these EAs are linear EAs so the only way to consistently profit from the market is through an adaptable non-linear concept like a good neural network based EA that is not curve fit to the market. Most Neural Networks are linear themselves so they won't give an advantage over an EA that is indicator based. This is the type of NN EAs that we keep seeing in this forum and for most part that are available on the market today. If the EA is truly NN based it does not need the type of optimization that the MT4 optimization engine offers. It has its own training code in addition to the EA itself. Our human brain works in a non-linear fashion. If we see that the market conditions have changed, we also can change the approach as well when trading manually. Even the guy that won the 2007 MQ Trading championship which is by far the best MT4 EA ever coded suffers some serious drawdowns. You would think with an EA like that that constantly adapts to the market someone would become a billionaire in 1 year but such is not the case. Just my opinion anyway ;)

  11. Hi,

I used to use this indicator few years back and very successfully so but stopped due to the high monthly subscription fee they are charging for it. For a while some coders at fx-tsd were chatting about reverse engineering it for MT4 but that thread eventually died. Has anybody heard of a version of it for MT4 or perhaps a reverse engineered standalone version somewhere?

The developer claims it is AI based but in reality it is nothing more that an oversold/overbought indicator. Very well done nevertheless. URL: http://www.nostradamus.co.uk/

  12. Re: [Req] HedgeFXpert

These type of hedging systems are simply stupid and idiotic. Instead of just buying or selling in one direction from the start.. these systems "hedge" the trade by entering on both sides and keep both trades (no profit made here) until the market "decides" to go in one direction and then loses one arm of the trade. The question is - what makes these developers believe that just because the market is going one way it will continue to do so? Simply idiotic..

  13. Re: euronis_v4160

Seems like this EA is very spread dependent and it needs "raw" ECN fast feed with lots of spikes to perform decently. I tested it live demo at several ECN brokers and at a couple (Sparen and IamForex) it did ok. However at other not so good. Also it has 1001 settings and if the settings are not right for the particular broker it can bomb. Still undecided about it but I am concerned about how it would do on a real account on a real feed. Any recommendations?

    Cheers
