its a bit better. at 5% DD it returns about 10% a year. not great but at least its not going backwards.

I did the BT from 2001 til now and found it to be the best "high risk" EA in a while. The way it works is that after a loss it loads up and tries to make the loss back. Once or twice on the BT since 2001 (M15) I noticed a spike almost to zero but of course it recovered. What's scary is that I changed the lotsize to 0.01 so to have that kind of unrealized draw trading 0.01 lots is ludicrous. Thas's why despite its promise I think this EA is a dud.

Take a look at the open times on the forward test. Orders are opened from 23:00 - 1:00 and 14:00 - 16:00 GMT so it has a small window of time to trade. Also take a look at this trade:

It lost about 20X of what it makes as an average which is about $13.00. I still think it is worth to backtest and forward test but to me personally these are 2 big red flags.

All Martingdale EAs.. very risky. Only one good recommendation: stay away from these!

It's a Martingale, just look at the bigger wins next to a loss trade. The 2nd bigger trade offsets the loss of 1st losing trade..

The attached RAR archive contains the EA and the indicator but they are copy protected and I don't have the pwd since I found this file in another forum. However the live statement and manual are not pwd protected. Looks like a good performing EA - I just hope it is not martingdale.. does not seems so from the report.

If someone can break the RAR pwd or has this EA pls share it so we can test it.

I did not try the Cobra EA yet. It will take some time to go through all of them carefully. Only one I am familiar with is MD_XE the rest I just shared the list for the group to test.

I vouch for MegaDroid_XE as the best one on this list. Others may be good as well but definitive backtests and forward tests need to be run before the real gem if discovered.

No problem, can you tell me any what Russian forums do you look at? I currently looked at some websites which sell Russian EAs and systems (not all of them are genuine but none the less) and some look pretty good. I think in Russia forex is more evolved and popular than in US so would be interesting to see any good forums and EAs.

Ok, this file is password locked. If you click on the right lower corner button it means "unpack or unzip" (it is zipped file of some sort). Then from first drop down menu you need to choose country, after that your mobile carrier and need to send text message something like "RRR 931320293" or maybe just the number alone to 97605. I guess after that you receive a password and then can unzip the file. So for now without the password or without being unpacked first install file is no use.

Thank you for looking into this. I did not know that a password was needed. I guess one of the buyers posted it without password. I wonder if a SMS is sent to the number in question if the password will be sent back. I will monitor the russian forum for the password which I am sure will pop up very soon and post it here when I get it unless someone beats me to it.

This is a russian EA called "Expert" (how creative!) which looks decent in backtest barring the large 50% DD which is not as indicative from looking at the equity curve.

I have found the Expert EA install that was posted on a russian forum but have no idea how to extract the ex4 since the setup exe is in russian. Can one of the russian speakers extract the manual and the ex4 and post it here? All the files are inside the Expert.exe install.

No need to fake this. It is a Martingdale based concept bound to blow the accounts very soon. He was lucky that it held for as long as it did but I see some accounts already stopped which means trouble.

Point is if a vendor advertises a product with good backtests, forward tests etc. and after the client buys it the product does not work as advertised (at least the backtests), the vendor could be labeled as a scam. But this definition is very broad since in the vendors defense they can say that the backtests/forward tests were run under different conditions (diff settings, diff data etc.). Coming back to the comment at hand here, I personally have never seen anything good coming out of iticsoftware regardless of the claims they make. Spammers or not? Its definitely debatable..

I wouldn't say they are scam exactly.

 

Some tools and indicators they have work well such as their trade copiers and indicators for volume and more.

 

Of course this new EA needs testing to prove it's worth or lack thereof, but I can think of many other vendors who should be labeled as scammers before iticsoftware.

Agreed that there are a lot of crooked vendors out there but please name one piece of software (EA) that iticsoftware has developed that was even able to break even - I don't know of any.

Once you backtest this EA you will notice the large drawdown it suffers to the extent of ~-20% or higher depending on which broker data you use. It is a steady performer but you must keep in mind the draw that it might get into.

I do not have any experience with the actual ea but I do have experience with Cindy who offers this product. She is pretty trustworthy and she's all about no bs. I'm actually going to invest on this one cause I really do believe this ea can produce some results. When I decide to make the leap I will repost what I think.

Be very careful with this EA since it does martingdale. It looks good when the market stays in a tight range but when it starts to trend, it will put a big hole in the account.
