OK Thanks. Don't know of a decent broker with ok spreads on this pair at this time. May be a good one to keep on the shelf for when spreads come back down.

from looking at the code it seems good logic.

Quick Question about GMTOffset value for Trading & Backtesting according to the Manual

FXCM

 

Live Trading = +2

 

Backtesting = +1

 

ALPARI

 

Live Trading = +2

 

Backtesting = +1

 

 

 

 

I did Backtesting on Alpari UK & FXCM using GMTOffset = +1 which were Great . MY Question to those who are trading MegaD**** 1.11 Live . What should i use ? Should i stick to the GMTOffset = +1 during Live trading or should i switch to +2 for Live Trading . Can Anyone Shed some light to this issue ?

 

Note: I did Backtesting with GMTOffset = +2 but the results were not as Good as when GMTOffset = +1 so that is why i am asking . Should i stick to GMTOffset = +1 when LIVE trading instead of using +2 ?

Same results for me...I have put this EA on two charts, 1 on GMT 1 and 1 on GMT 2 to compare live...but the results I got from Alpari backtests were MUCH better with GMT +1 so I think I will go with that year round...

I will post backtests when I have time to do them...am going away on vacation so someone might beat me to it.

I have searched this forum...there is an old thread but the version there does not work. I know a lot of people don't like this EA because it has 650 pip stop - but it has only lost 1 trade ever! I have friends who use this LIVE for good results...it is a LONG-TERM system. I want to backtest to see max DD over time. Please someone decompile and if you can remove code. I will repay by posting all backtests.

The error 131 occurs only with brokers having "incongruent" settings of MinLot & LotStep (eg 0.1 and 0.01). When EA splits orders to 80/20 (80% for fixed TP, the other 20% with no TP), the 20% part sometimes dips below the MinLot value even though the total lot (100%, which already passed the MM lot test) is above MinLot. Testing with brokers like IB, FXDD, etc. (which have both MinLot & LotStep at 0.01) should make the errors go away. Or you can change the MM code to make it more flexible with different settings of MinLot & LotStep.

 

I found the EA not very well written, esp in the OrderSend & OrderModify sections, causing intermittent errors.

Sorry guys I have read this whole thread...is this the working file you are using? I have bought this bot since April paid for it and my backtests look good since 2001...but I want backups of all of them just in case. You never know with things that contact servers.

to day anyway, is crazy trading

i had positive trade only using 1.0 as did my friends trading this EA. I am now running open 1.0 and paid 1.11 to compare...don't want to see large differences as we did with newer versions of fap when with the original version of megadroid i and all my trading friends were getting the exact same trades...if so i'll stick with 1.0.

I had two trades opened last nite using IBFX. Both strategies had placed a single trade. Both were profitable, although one was very small and both were in the red quite deep at one point in the trade(s).

 

The huge SL's that this system uses makes me very wary about trading this EA live :(

huge sl's? i thought the sl was around the 40 pip mark? can someone verify from the code...it seems to change stop loss depending on market condition. maybe you are looking at the stop loss it places originally...this isn't the actual stop loss, just a figure for the brokers to see, the same way fap turbo does.

I tried to do backtesting of Magic machine robot, but it has error "Ordersend 131" all the times.

 

Could anybody try to double-check and correct the errors of this EA?

This is version 1.0...it doesn't show all it's supposedly doing on the chart not that it really matters...but more importantly it does not contact the server and it traded 13 for 13 positive trades for me in April. Thanks to liuganquan :peace:

I read on the other forum that it isn't safe to use the cracked version of the new MegaDroid 1.1 because of the DLL file then screwing up your trades on purpose. I wonder if they can also track you down through the DLL file if you're using the cracked version.

does this new cracked version communicate with the server...just to be safe...

A quick Question.

 

If you have an Open Position ( Manually Opened) in EURUSD already will MegaDroid Open a new position when it comes time to trade and the Manual Position is still open

Yes it has a magic number it assigns to the trades it opens...you can have open eurusd trades and not worry.

I agree with all those saying this bot should be bought. I have tested so many bots on here and this, robominer and fap turbo are the only that have seen profit for me; the only I have bothered to pay for...everything else went in the recycle bin pretty quickly. I love that we have this forum to test things and we get to edit all the rubbish/scam/junk-bots; but Megadroid does not fall in that bracket.

That said Megadroid admin need to quit their false advertising and be honest about the fact their bot only trades two hours a day. Still, its 12 for 12 for me...good profit this month.
