In 2008 I experimented a lot with a system like this on several time frames using the 138.2 as TP and several variables as SL and in the end I found the most profit using a RR of 1:1 (61.8, not including spreads) on the H4 TF but the DD was long. This was based on a thread at forexfactory called "Skunny - Indicator Free Trading".

I was interested in running it on M15 but it was too time intensive and I am not an EA coder. I later forgot about this system but it was freaky how precise the TPs were.

I hope that those involved in the creation of this EA are as generous as the creator of this thread.

Yes this bot is not pulling its weight live at Alpari UK...dunno if its spreads but most trades on non-EU pairs are closing for less than 1 pip...not worth it.

or just be patient and run original MD with EURUSD default and accept only a few trades....nearly all winners.

Actually "Your_Lucky" in the form seen as "Quantum Trader" and quite possibly the original form too trades other pairs including EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD and the creator is credited which suggests these are not "developed by Japanese" but by him and whoever else. Thanks for finding these though and hope someone has them! It seems these names are those used for the Japanese market as the only threads that come up are Japanese.

Because sitting in front of computer for hours to catch entry time.... well, if you dont have 100k in accout so you can play around with 5 lots+ at time, this is peanuts...

Quiksilver has made an EA which is based on LMT...he could probably program this too 8-)

The Cash Generator RDB looks like "Your Lucky", "Quantum" etc, and the authors credits are the same. This could not be Japanese but just aimed at the Japanese market.

We never found out which was the original..Quantum or rdb or someone else...

A friend pays to this service and get updates every week for which pairs to trade. He is doing well. Current version is 5.7 but he prefers not to share paid things. Anyone else?

I have a question. If one pair hits a stop, do the others all think it was them and also place recovery trades? Or only the pair that caused the stop out?

I have had no problems at all with EU, one full-stop this month but profit was made back and ended up plus 10% with the same risk and recovery OFF.

With regards to the other pairs, all backtest very well but they are more up and down. One has to run them at settings where the risk is accepted, accept the recovery mode will place trades double the size until the recovery is made back, and just ride out the bad times for a long enough period to have a decent data set.

That said I have a question. If one pair hits a stop, do the others all think it was them and also place recovery trades? Or only the pair that caused the stop out? If its the first, its a good reason to turn recovery OFF if running multiple pairs.

I have tested this fairly thoroughly and decided its no good. It is having a good run right now but put it on any long period of time and it goes slowly down. The time-filter works to filter the trades but then you get very few trades....much less than say MD...a waste of RAM IMHO.

Time filter means you can now set which times it will trade.

From intial backtests since April 1st: having Sunday and Friday On is better.

Buy only much better ( maybe because EU has been in uptrend).

Testing the different times now. Quik it gets a few "OrderSend error 4111"'s when backtesting is this OK?

since 2 days ago i just trade 4 pairs: usdcad usdjpy eurjpy eurgbp

 

I really dont understand why audusd and gbpusd which both are unsuccessful in backtest should be traded?!!

Please share which logic you are using for these pairs.

Btw, I've been backtesting the EA from 1999 to date with good success. However, it always terminates trading at 99+ lots for all the pairs. How can I adjust the code to stop at a higher lot size, anybody please? #:-S

to get a better visual idea when backtesting of long-term performance, better to trun MM off and use fixed lots...then you can see clearly how it does year to year.

in reality i doubt you will ever need to trade more than 99 lots.

Will test first Sunday/Friday on off then the time windows. It may take a few days.

Is anyone able to add a time-filter to this? I think it would decrease a lot of the losses if it ran 22-24 GMT ish but needs time-filter added to backtest.

MDP has a lot of SL these days!

 

I'm using LiteForex, it has all fixed spreads... so my MDP has more trades than others... and my GBPUSD hit stoploss AGAIN while in recovery mode, it is the 2nd time hitting SL while still recovering... looks like it will take forever to recover... :(

This is not MD Pro, it is MD on unrecommended pairs; please give details not just negative comments beacause account is down.

Normal MD is up very well this month, few trades but it is results that matter.

i had my last open trade close 24 mins ago (gbpchf) finally took the guts out of my profit this week (actually i'm about £20 up on a 2k account)..just such a shame after so much really good demo and testing........the original md on adt eurusd is doing really well in comparison!!.......mind you there's always tonight to finish the week off.....I mean that ...errrr....postively .....well here's fingers crossed....pitty to resort to out and out luck..or should i do the horses instead this afternoon?....football betting is going best for me of anything at the moment...is forex out of the gambling and guessing arena?....I'm not sure.....I was really hoping it would be but after 15 months I am less convinced than ever (i mean i started out thinking it wasn't now i am begining to think it is).......

The original MD, with the same GMT year round (+1 at Alpari UK) doesn't trade much but storms. Barely ever loses. My account with just this is doing great though it doesn't trade frequently it is usually short and sweet.

The other pairs do not backtest well over a long time period though sure they look good for this year or whatever (though EURCHF & EURGBP MDPro look good) and are not consistent. A lot of people post here when they do well but not when they lose. Do not lose hope. Either that or go with Robominer and a 2k account, MD at low risk, maybe fap16 (the original and best version) low risk; set and forget, add to your account with football wins and you will be free in 10 years.

As you say MDPro ADT is doing pretty well also...

Don't jadefx have a "Or Best Entry" setup where it doesn't requote but instead gives you the "best price" closest to what you try to enter at? I was put off by that.
