Hi Rio, Also the EURGBP logic got stuck on EURUSD last night! Last night first I had 2 trades with +36 pips, but the 3rd trades went in loss and I closed it with -36pips manually to breakeven. He wanted to keep the same function signature as the DLL function, so that there would be no need to change the code that calls the function. This is acceptable programming practice. I think Bbrain was still studying the dll, he mentioned that piece of function was not final. My guess was that dll passed in so many parameters, so he simply carry them cross. TimeDay() expects a datetime (which is also an integer in MetaTrader), but he is passing a day of month number into it, so it's definitely a programming error on his part. It should just be day1 and not TimeDay(day1). Good try though bbrain, I'm glad that you finally solved it, though I wonder how you must have felt when you realized how simple it was (two lines)! There was no need to study the DLL at all for this. I solved it many weeks ago without going through the decompiled code at all, because the code was actually in the previous versions, and there were plenty of clues by others (even including bbrain at a later stage) in this thread (i.e. mention of no trading at end of month). You just needed to think a bit outside the box (i.e. outside the DLL!). The MegaDroid developers removed the code and put it into the DLL to hide it. But it's not a crucial part of the strategy, so one would question why they'd want to hide it. I'm thinking that they did it as a test to see if anyone would crack it. They are probably keeping track of this thread. (Hi MegaDroid Team! Thanks for a great EA. Your strategy & code probably isn't even totally original anyway - it's very similar to Fap Turbo... There is always a difference. Take a look at my liveaccount. I had 2 losses yesterday with EURUSD. One time 44 pips and another time 67 pips. Not really good. I know that the lotsize is high for 1000 USD deposit, but thats not all money I have. I am using many brokers and many accounts and I can always fund and transfer if it is needed. Usually I like 1 account for 1 EA to see the results better. And for Megadroid Pro I thought its worth it to trade. I have turned off AutoGMT and set GMT to 3. FXCBS has GMT +3. You have better results in liveaccount? peri Posted August 13, 2009 Report Share Posted August 13, 2009 EURUSD with logic 2 & 3 Seems like after everybody jumped on the bandwaggon with EURUSD as EURGBP and EURCHF it ceased to work. All trades stopped out with large losses last night. And be careful with GBPUSD and USDCAD, I ve had huge losses a few weeks back, although still with the old MD multipair. I was thinking the same thing. It's better to take a small loss, than risk a big one. After all, by the time the Euro session starts, Megadroid is trying to break even and will not take much profit on the trade anyway. On one hand, it's not a good idea to have the trade stay open too long, but on the other hand, we still don't know if that trade would eventually come back into profit or not, so it is a bit of a judgment call. I think that Megadroid still requires a little bit of manual intervention. If you still have hanging trades you should have to decide whether they are going to come back into profit, or if you get the chance, close the trade and take a minimal loss. I guess it makes sense to run as many pairs as possible in the off-chance that you have quiet days so there's at least something trading. I got trades on the GBPUSD and USDCAD (which both seem to trade fairly often despite their unsupported-ness). No hanging trades, and made another small profit.
