does anyone know how i can load more minutes of data here, it only loads 1 week of minutes of data, daily i can use 10 years.

 

Click Data, Exchanges. Choose the exchange you are downloading your data. From the dropdown menu choose Intraday Options. In the Minute Charts (days) settings, set the number of days you want to download intraday data.

 

In the chart, when you switch from daily to intraday timeframes, it will load the intraday data to the settings you set for intraday. The number of days loaded however will be limited by what the data supplier will provide.

 

 

Open up notepad as administrator.

ie press windows key, type notepad. Notepad icon appears. Choose run as administrator. Press down arrow button if you don't see the run as administrator option.

 

In notepad open file and search for host file and open it.

It should be in c:/windows/ system32/ drivers/etc/ host

cut and paste into the opened host file.

Yes indeed that is missing from this Optu 1.6. Unfortunately these are not some codes that you can post over. The original person who educated the prog will need to activate the license for ND Research toolkit.

This is the thread for 2.17! You have to read all the posts and take note of post #4 and #15 for the edu. Also there may be some mention of problems and work around.

Just wondering anyone still use the Wave59 RT version 3.6, I think it's the most stable version without much trouble.

However it doesn't seem to work anymore recently (after applying crack files msfl72.dll, w59_prmf.dat). It keeps asking for username and password to access the server. There is no way to bypass this anymore. Does that mean the crack is no longer working? Hope anyone still use the RT version 3.6 to answer this question. Thanks

 

Set the computer date before Oct 2020 or use software like runasdate or cracklock or timestopper (can't remember the exact software names) to run the program at your set date. You should then be able to run the program.

 

Unfornately, when you do a Save Chart, charts with data after Oct 2020 will cause the program to crash out when you Open Chart.

 

The work around for this is;

If you want to save an intraday chart, switch the timeframe to daily. Then set the database to a chart data of not ending after Oct 2020. Then save the chart. When you Open Chart, switch back to your intraday timeframe.

Same applies to saving Daily chart.

Please try it out for yourself. I can't help much now as I have uninstalled 3.6 RT.

 

I strongly suggest you use the Wave59 Pro 2.17. As I tested it out, it does not have a date limit for the edu to stop working.

I use Save Chart As options. When you need to open a chart then use File : Open Saved

@laser1000it glad to hear its working well for you (opening) yeah needs full testing with data etc.

 

@kesk ive just tested it now on windows 10 pro (real machine not a vm). Opens perfectly. I wonder if your av is deleting something.

Gonna test with data etc though.

 

What software either paid or free is everyone using today for free downloading from yahoo or other sources. I mainly only need indices , forex and crypto.

 

I miss mldownloader was so easy to use.

My chart load hanging..

 

Is it hanging when after you Add Symbol and finished setup the ASCII details and Wave59 ask you to enter a title or name for the setup?

Seems to happen when first time using the software.

The apparent solution to this if I can recall correctly is to Add Symbol a Yahoo symbol. After Add Symbol Yahoo, leave it there in Data Manager. No need to press download button as it won't download properly as this version is using an old Yahoo data download protocol.

After this, continue to Add Symbols, ASCII file.

 

Later on you may choose to remove the Yahoo symbol if you don't need it.

 

As for setting the time, it is set relative to NY time or EST (Eastern Standard). It is set backwards to where you are. Example England should be -5.

Malaysia (-5)+(-8)=-13 [England to NY= -5 and Malaysia to England = -8]

Suggest you run this program in VM or a secondary spare computer, one that does not have important information, which you does not do any financial or personal transactions.

One which you should be able to recover or reset if need be without any inconvenience to you.

 

The spare computer should have a good anti-malware, too

 

Just my 2 cents.

 

Wave59 is one program where the almost all edu versions almost always flag a malware alert.

Could be false positive but even then you won't know.

I try metastock data and the same blank chart

 

I loaded Metastock daily data and plotted with no issues.

 

By the way, have you set the start and end dates in the Format settings Database with regards to your Metastock data?

I have the same issue of a blank chart when I load an ASCII Daily chart.

But no issue for a ASCII intraday chart. The intraday chart shows up fine.

 

I found a workaround on the ASCII Daily chart issue.

With the blank Daily chart displayed, go to the drop down menu to select different timeframes. It is located just at the middle of the second row of the top menu bar.

 

Select 1 min. The chart remains blank.

Now select Daily. The chart should now display the daily bars.
