  1. Yes. That's the plan, to split my equity over 10 to 12 brokers, then, no single broker can "misplace" all my money. I trade only micro size lots, and each account only needs $500, and I try to use 200:1 margin. Also, if I have robots that only trade once or twice a week, then I can put 20 or 30 on 1 platform. If I have robots that trade more often, then I may only put only 5 or 6 on a platform. I have never had my account suspended, only threats. Normally, the problem is caused by a robot that is trying to do a trade, but, either the lot size is wrong, or the margin is too low, so the robot will keep trying several times per minute to put the trade through anyway. So, then I just turn that particular robot off, and either fix the lot size (take it off money management, and put it on manual), or wait for the balance to increase (if it was a "low funds" error). So, it's difficult to make any money when trading microlots, but for testing purposes on a live account, it's the only way I feel comfortable trading on an unproven EA. :|

    Thanks for your answer,

200 robots running at the same time: you must have a very big account, and like you said you have to face delayed and overload signals. You are brave! lol

Don't you think it would be safer for financial reasons and also for being able to control which EA performs better compared to another... to split your Equity in multiple accounts?

And your broker won't threaten to suspend your account anymore.

Just a suggestion, not a judgement!

  2. So far, my profits on all the brokers using Crescendo is going sort of sideways, lose $5, gain $4, then gain $3, then lose $1. This particular EA is broker friendly, so not as many differences were noted between brokers. But, for example, Forex SAS has only traded on 3 out 8 brokers, and the same thing for Automated Pips system, I just can't get them to trade on most platforms. As a general rule I have found that the dealing desk Brokers, like Alpari and IBFX, handle most EAs, but I don't do large lots with dealing desk brokers. The problem with Aplari and IBFX US accounts is that many trades are cancelled due to FIFO or Hedging violations. So, I can't always tell if the robot is losing money because of the FIFO rule, or because of the trading logic.

I have not been using Crescendo long enough to get much of a result, but, it seems to gain a little more than it loses. All my other platforms have multiple robots running on the same broker also, so I do not have any performance sheet to see how Crescendo is doing percentage wise. I just have to look at the log, and round off the profits and losses. The other problem is that my VPS is overburdened, so my charts keep freezing. I have over 200 robots running at the same time, on just 1 account (or approximately 20-30 robots running per MT4 platform). I don't recommend this because I believe I am losing trades with all the delayed signals (data feed) from the processor overload. I guess even VPS systems have their limitations. There is also a "bottle neck" problem with individual brokers when you have so many robots sending signals at the same time, on just 1 account number. Sometimes the brokers email me and threaten to suspend my account unless I "tame" the multiple trade signals they are receiving, all within a few seconds! It's time for me to get rid of some of the "dead wood" (non-performing robots), and get my data feed to run a little faster. @-)

    Hi Sneed,

Could you give us your conclusions regarding the choice of the broker?

The results are so different from your 12 brokers, when you use Crescendo?

    Some statistics would be welcome.

    Thank you in advance.

    freddy

  3. I agree.

The seller of this EA has put more security in this inexpensive EA, than I have seen in more expensive EA's. One thing I can say in favor of this seller, is that, even with the licensed version, there is no limit to how many platforms (Broker's MT4) you can put the EA on, as long as it is on the "same" computer. So, with my VPS, I can put this EA on 12 different brokers with just 1 license. I can't say the same thing about FapTurbo, ForexRevolution, ForexBulletproof, etc. etc., where you are allowed only "1" installation per license. This is a problem for me because I need to run an EA on "multiple" live accounts, to see which broker it is most compatible with. Different EA's work better with different brokers, and there is no "best" broker for "all" EA's. So, I like that the Crescendo people are more generous with the license they sell, than some "other" sellers. ;)

My concern is that during the dissembling and educating process, errors might be introduced causing the EA not performing as it should be.

It's just a matter of preference.

  4. But, for some reason the educated version of MegaDroid doesn't require access to a separate server. :-?

Glad to see other member is helping each other.

You could also used the same method for MegaDroid. They also used the same authentication method.

For MegaDroid, the file is /access/mdp.php with content of any 8 digits, except 00000000.

  5. The "original" commercial version had 2 problems why it did not do trades, #1, it requires a special software to be on your computer or VPS (Microsoft Visual C++) [see post#82 by Conglo]. This software provides a DLL file that Crescendo looks for. Some computers have it, some don't. If you don't have it on your computer the "information display" (authentication) will not appear, which shows EA statistics on the left side of the screen. #2. The first version (1.0) will not work with MT4 platforms that have a "suffix" after the currency pair, for example EURUSDxxx. So, if your Broker uses letters after the currency pair, then you need to use updated version 1.1, which allows you to enter your suffix information in the settings. This may also apply to back testing problems, but, I'm not sure about that part. :)

btw- if anyone gets a trade on the educated version let us know.

  6. Thanks Jarora. Yes, this is one of the most "tamed" versions of Ilan that I have ever worked with. The Japanese devaluation a few weeks ago did cause a few margin calls on my account, but probably because my balance was not high enough. Other versions of Ilan would have crashed the account by now. So, this is definitely a safer version of Ilan, and interesting to watch. :)

  7. Refund

I had another vendor do that to me. All I did was "log back in with Click Bank" and change the technical support request back into a "Refund Request". If you don't do this within a certain amount of days, then ClickBank will close the case and assume that you are "happy" with the product. This is the fastest way to get a refund within 2 days. Then if the seller changes it back to a "tech support" ticket again, you just change it again back to a refund request again. Using your credit card company to cancel is OK also, but it can take 1 or 2 weeks sometimes, and I lost my privileges with Clickbank for a few months that way by going "around" their system. I then had to use a different credit card to purchase through ClickBank for other future purchases. But, if you don't have time to go back and forth, changing the status using your keyboard, then I agree with MetaCrazy, that you can just "call" ClickBank on the telephone, and they can "push" the refund through. ;)

These m*th*rf*ck*rs will not issue a refund.

ClickBank kicks the refund request back to the vendor who changes the refund request to a tech support ticket to avoid the refund.

If I don't get my refund within 24 hours I'm filing a formal complaint with ClickBank; they're using deceptive and misleading advertising.

In the meantime, these guys have earned some vigilante justice. Anybody game?

I know there are some very creative minds out there....

  8. Done. But no response so far.

The only email they are sending out is asking "current customers" to purchase their EA!!! They don't even screen their promotions email list for those people who already own the EA. =D> =))

Whom ever purchased this should contact them about their software not working.
  9. Even their installer on the "advanced upsell EA" is defective. When it is supposed to load the EA into your "Experts" folder, it attempts to load the EA into a folder titled "Eperts" (without an "X"). Which means the EA never gets installed (probably a good thing), unless you modify the installer and correctly "spell" the word "Experts" for it. This tells me that they never even tested their "auto" installer, before putting it up for sale. X_X

They released untested code! I decompiled and the OrderSend function is wrong .... LOL
  10. XPA has everything that XPP has, except that XPA does 6 currency pairs instead of just 4. I believe that XPA also has a monthly fee to cover streaming EA optimization (no need to manually update the settings as trading conditions change). Whether or not it is worth the monthly fee is another question. There have been a lot of loses (and profits) with various EA's this week, with all the drawdowns and price swings. :-S

XPA Works 4 me but cannot attach XPP on Chart

    What is the difference

  11. These "upsells" are getting more and more common. It's a way to "get around" the clickbank policy of restricting purchases to $99 or less for new vendors. So, if a vendor wants $200 or more for his EA, he just creates 2 EAs (or 3 or 4 or 5). The first EA is usually junk, and you can't buy the second EA (the better one) unless you purchase the 1st EA first. So, you end up doing 2 "seperate" clickbank transactions, which allows the seller to go above the $99 limit. PipPoacher did this as well as Forex Geek, etc., etc. ;))

Caution!! I wanted to buy this and share it with my friends her so I ordered and paid for this thing and when I was sent to the download page it REQUIRED me to pay an additional $97 to get the edition that works as advertised. I did not want that add on and it would not let me download anything. Have requested a refund from Clickbank.
  12. Forex SAS was the same deal, extra cost for the "good EA".

  13. Absolutely, Norm. Especially so in this case, because many educated EAs (I have not tried the patch by GUESS yet however) no longer need the DLL. So, I tried to use this EA without the DLL file, because I prefer to not use DLL files if I don't have to. But, this particular EA still needed the DLL, and it started to trade immediately, on "multiple" broker platforms only "after" I loaded the DLL file. So, when Bedrockbrett was getting "no trades", it sounded like the same problem I experienced when I "intentionally" did not use the DLL file, because the EA was educated. So, in my mind, it would have been "reasonable" for Bedrockbrett to leave off the DLL file, at first, because he is using the "educated version". :)

You would be surprised the silly things people (dont) do. when solving a problem it is best to start from the obvious simple problems and work 'upwards'. good luck finding the solution to the problem and having a stable market which doesnt crash the account on this EA.
  14. Did you remember to install the DLL file? And do you have a minimum of $450 in your demo or live account?

I have been getting 3 to 8 trades a week on both my live and demo accounts (on different brokers) using the educated version. If you are using other robots on the same account, it is sometimes difficult to find the trades that it took. It gives no comment on a winning trade except "TP", and on a losing trade, the comments are blank. I had to actually scroll back on the 1 minute chart in order to confirm that it actually did some trading. So far, it sort of wins a few and loses a few. I am only trading microlots, so we are only talking about $4-$7, win or lose. The real test is to see how big the draw down is when the market starts to whiplash again. ;))

    Hi

Well I have had no results (no trades) on the educated version

    I have tried.

I do believe that Fap turbo (I have had for almost 2 years an is a bunch of crap)

and this EA, are not want you want for it will not tell you how to trade.

Is there really a way to trade in FX ?

I have tried others and thank god I have not lost my a**.

I think I might be out 1,000 in 2+ years (not including Time)

    So

This is a HIGH RISK market!

  15. This particular version seems to have some changes than the original. I've only been using it for a few days, but so far the stop loss has been between 5 and 25 pips. So, at least it is getting out of the trades before 500 pips is reached. Also, I have never tried Ilan with this currency pair before, so maybe it will run more stable. In the past I used it with EU, and it would do 20-30 trades a day, and that is what would generate margin calls. One flaw that they did not seem to fix is that it will enter a trade when you first turn it on, even if the trade had no basis in the system it is designed for. I use a work around with this problem by turning off the "expert advisors" tab at the top when loading the EA. Then after it is loaded, I turn the EA tab back on. But, I am still not ready to go live with this, just based on a few winning trades. The foundation of this EA has always been "Martingale". So, if there is some way to "tame it", then, that is what I am curious about after all these years. 8-)

this one stoploss 500, you guys not afraid?
  16. I've been playing with Ilan for several years, since it first came out. It is a rattlesnake for sure! It will be your friend, sleep in your tent, then it will strike you down without warning. But, I just am playing with a demo account, and, am curious about the time settings in this version. With previous versions, we had to manually turn Ilan "on" and "off", and many of the stop loss settings were not operational. I have made some money with Ilan when I trade "manually" with it. I let it enter the trades, but then I would manually exit the trades. I would use it like a hunting dog. You let the dog find the target, but you never let the dog off the leash, by himself. ;)

  17. Yes. That should work. I just need to research the EA to find out if the default trading times are based on a 0 GMT setting, or if they were set based on a +1 GMT (etc) depending on the platform it was originally developed on. If the default settings are based on 0 GMT, then I can just add or subtract as needed. I find that many EA "default settings" are not based on 0 GMT but +1, because there are so many popular brokers that seem to have +1 server times.

just made the adjustments yourself to the starting times. i hate time. it always messes with my head.
