  1. I put it on 3 demo accounts but no trades. Anyone get it to trade yet?

If the EA is put together with the same care and attention as the "The Dynamic Price Channel Indicator User Guide" then it's got a high probability of being as useless as most EAs lol.

Apart from some discretionary interpretations of where the Stochs actually cross in the examples, the Dynamic Price channel guide shows in example 2 that "both targets are achieved quickly" - the only problem as we can see from the spikes on candles in example 1 (same chart) is that the stop loss line gives the impression that price would have just missed it, however that stop would have definitely been blown :-O

  2. I put it on 5 different brokers since March 29th, not a single trade either. I think it's just wasting space on my computer using up resources. It's hard to believe that it is incompatible with all 5 brokers. I really wanted it to work based on the BS of their home page, but nothing???

None for me either since 31 Mar.
  3. Re: [REQ]Bl@ck P@nth3r

I have found that VPS services work better when your provider upgrades you to Hyper-V technology. It gives you more administrative authority to load various Windows patches, and other software such as EA's that require authentication. With Hyper-V there is less sharing of resources with other VPS customers. So you own your own block of memory to do what you wish. It is a little faster also. When you first load P@nth3r, you should make sure that your MT4 is closed. Then when you try to open your MT4 (It will not open unless you have the receipt code) it doesn't open, which makes it appear as a virus blocking software from opening. But, this only happens once on your computer. Then when you load it on other Broker Platforms, on the same computer (or VPS), this does not happen any more. Just, the first broker that you load it on first. I never saw an EA do that before (taking complete control over the "entire" MT4 platform). This ability of the EA to do that may resemble a virus. But, then the issue goes away and never comes back again. ;)

    Hi

I have purchased this EA (original) and have tried to install it at my VPS. But unfortunately I don't see the EA in the Expert Folder of the MT4 Platform from my broker. Also don't appear any window that ask for me for the license code. This is very strange. I have contacted the support to help me but they don't give me any answer... :(

  4. Re: The Collective FX

I had a live account, closed it, and got all my money back within 24 hours. There was just a small transfer fee from their bank, $10 or $20 dollars (its been awhile). I did not find any dishonesty.

Their customer service responds fast but usually "grouchy" or "annoyed". They are probably a good deal for large accounts, but I found the monthly fee high for trading micro-lots, I told them I would prefer to just pay a commission. But, they said they did not have the technology to charge commissions, and they had no desire to make the system more "fair", for those people who only do a few trades per month. I did not find their services to be any better than Jade or ATC, many times their spreads were higher (when they are supposed to be "at cost"). So, besides the monthly fee, they also make a (small) profit off you with the spreads. I believe that's called "double-dipping". I mentioned that to them and their response was "Take it or leave it, we don't really care". #:-S

Their service is OK (if expensive), but they make it clear that you are just an "inconvenience to be tolerated", and NOT a "treasured customer".

No one here that use them with real accounts ?
  5. Re: Is it true? ( alpari uk)

Yes, this happens to me also. The charts do not show the spread, so sometimes the chart must go "past" the target price to get the order filled. At other times, they did not fill my order because they needed 2 minutes to fill the order, but the price stayed at the target price for only 1 minute. This seems like plenty of time to me, but sometimes the liquidity is not there because the "liquidity provider" delays filling the order. When I trade manually, I notice this a lot, where an order sometimes takes over 3 minutes to get filled. #:-S

  6. Re: Fusion v1.1a

It's unfortunate that such an expensive robot would have so many "Trojan" alarms attached to the dll files. "Artemis 6A8CF42D2CD0 (Trojan)" according to McAfee. I understand that many agree that this is a false alarm, but, why none of my other (200) robots give me this problem? :-?

How do we know that the orignial dlls aren't viruses?

    "Stormin_Norman" we dont.

  7. OK. I will start with a question, for USA region. Many Forex brokers do not send copies of trading to IRS, but Stock Brokers DO send copies. Probably because Forex is closer to gambling than is stocks, since there is no real ownership of currencies purchased. It is more of an honor system where you "hope" your Forex Broker will send you your money when you request it.

My question is: If we have 5 brokerage accounts (as an example), and lose money with 4 out of 5 brokerages, do we still need to disclose our profits from the 5th broker with IRS? (Assuming we still have a net "loss" for the year when we combine the balance sheet for all 5 brokers.)

  8. Re: All ilan EA versions.

I've been using Ilan 4,5,6 for over a year and notice that when a stop loss is entered, it gets ignored. According to the developer, a stop loss defeats the purpose.

One of the problems I have with it is that it trades on the trend of the previous bar. So, it will go long, for example, because the previous bar was an uptick, but the next bar can be a 1 week down trend, and empties your account. It might be better if it can look at other factors, such as being over sold or over bought, before going into a trend trade.

The RSI version is a little better, it doesn't drain your account as fast.

But, all that said, it is still an addicting EA, and I continue to play with it on live and demo accounts. The best luck I have had with it is to do manual trading with it. I let it run automatically on a trend, then when it approaches a resistance level, I turn it off to see if the trend reverses. When I am in a gambling mood, I put it on a 1 minute TF.

But, so far I have found no settings that I trust it with to run by itself, for more than a few hours. [-O<

    Hi again,

I'm wondering 39 people have been to this thread and no one said "thanks".

O.K, no need to say thanks, but at least share opinions, basktest ...... It would take some time for forward test, and I know that.

O.K, maybe you can suggest another pair that is similar to EURCHF??

I hope to hear from you soon. ;)

    best wishes,

  9. Re: Sincere apology

They need to clean up their own industry before going after a non-profit consumer group like our website here. I can't count how many times I purchased an EA that was junk, not as advertised, or a complete theft of someone else's work (Magic Machine for example). Then we have to go through the refund process which wastes everyone's time.

There are many members of this forum who, after getting a chance to try an EA, go on to buy it so that they can get complete support. So, in a sense, this forum helps advertise EA's that are worth while, and brings more business to the author.

The third category of injustice, is where we pay the "full price" for an EA, and find that it does not work on a particular broker, and so we attempt to put the EA on another broker, and the EA "seller" will not let us change brokers unless we "close" our account with the first broker. Many of us can't do this if we are still using the first broker.

A case in point, a member of this forum purchased FAPTURBO at full price from the vendor, and used it on IBFX. There was mostly losing trades with IBFX (but other EA's worked OK with IBFX). The FAPTURBO people would not accept proof provided that the EA was removed from the IBFX account (because it was useless there), and refused to license it for the new broker. They "insisted" that the customer "completely close his IBFX account" and close all pending trades. Or, be forced to buy "another license" of the SAME EA, just to use it on the new brokerage account (even though a total of only 1 copy of the EA would be running since it was already removed from the first account!) X-(

As a result, this forum member had paid for a license of this EA, and could not use the EA. So, he stopped using it, and no longer was eligible for a refund, because he had tested it on IBFX for over 60 days. So, in a sense, this member was forced to use an unlicensed version of Fapturbo, on his new brokerage account, because the Fapturbo people told him to "pound sand" when he explained his situation to them. Thank you for this website.... =D>

  10. Re: Megadroid Pro

My settings are slippage set to 3 and the spread is set to 0 or the spread default setting. Obviously my slippage via ECN execution was much more than 3 last night, so I'm not sure this setting means much of anything under STP trading conditions.

Yes, that Might be it. When my spread was set to "0", I was getting more trades, but I was getting more loses. Also, the IVY Robot lost a lot of money on my account using default settings. Once I fix the IVY money leak, I will try widening the spread again on MDP. But, if I do it now I will get another margin call. X_X

  11. Re: Megadroid Pro

Just an FYI - last night JadeFX demo feed mdproee_bbr v07 GBPUSD trade closed at a profit, while in live account I had the same trade hit stop loss. Ouch!!!

I'm wondering if you may have provided an answer to a question I didn't ask yet. I have a Jade live account, and did not get a single trade today. Normally MDP trades Tues, Wed, and Thursdays.

I normally get at least 5 or 6 trades a day with Jade. The only thing special about my MDP settings is that I have maximum slippage set to 3 and maximum spread also set to 3.

It seems that those people who have slippage or spread set to 4 or more are getting the trades, but, they get more losing trades also. I am curious what your slippage and spread settings are?

  12. Re: Megadroid Pro

The only problem with VPS is that sometimes your platform will lose it's connection to the broker's server and sometimes it won't reconnect without giving it a kick. Go markets has been guilty of this lately as they've been doing maintenance.

Yes, I notice the same thing. Sometimes I cannot connect to my VPS if the RAM gets used up. I need to manually reboot all my MT4s within my VPS at least once a day, otherwise they eat up all the RAM. Another problem is that sometimes my router will block my access to the VPS, and I will have to reboot the router, then everything works fine again.

Yes, I notice that some XPVPS services are a little cheaper to rent because they don't pay a license fee. Also, XP is quite stable. I purchased a 64 bit XP server machine to keep in my home, but because my DSL line kept going down, the VPS didn't help much. Also, my batteries will only keep my home VPS running for just a few hours during a power failure.

It is also important to select a VPS location that is closest to the brokerages you use the most. Many VPS services now offer multiple locations, in several countries, which makes a big difference in trade execution speeds. For example, using a New York VPS for a New York Broker, or a UK VPS for a UK Broker, etc. ;)

Take your pick.. I think you can probably tell where I am headed..

I havnt quit finished the code for IM-Scalper and its siblings.. Too Many gigs runnig sound for back to school things.. But thats about over... I think Im-Scalper is going to be a good one as soon as the thing gets fixed a little more.. Im also trying to get finished with the renko bar chart stuff..

The links seem to be broken, but nothing succeeds like success. Since your Internet connection is better than mine, and you are in profit, I cannot argue with that. I am just personally bothered by my DSL provider, and there are no other choices unless I get a satellite connection.

Anyway, I needed my VPS for other reasons also, like being able to turn my computer off for maintenance, or being able to handle 5 day power failures, or viewing trades while on vacation, etc. But, using your laptop as a VPS is great also, especially if you buy one of those cooling devices that plug into the USB port. I have 3 of them, and they work great. Before getting the coolers, my laptop burned 3 modem boards. Many laptops just don't stay cool as well as a desktop. :)>-

  14. Re: Megadroid Pro

I tried that, but the other problem I notice is that my DSL sometimes goes off line 60 seconds at a time. The phone company said that this is acceptable. But, I have lost trades that way. Also, there is many times a greater execution delay with home dsl. For example, from home, the ping is 80ms to the trading server, using the VPS it goes down to 6ms. Not an important issue unless you are scalping (which I do a lot). :-?

Get get you a cheap laptop off eBay.. Thats what I do.. Got several on a little stand in the corner...

It dont take a lot to run just MT4.. 4-5 year old laptop is FINE and it will probably have XP on it instead of Vista. Ive bought as cheap as $50.00...

  15. Re: (REQ) Forex Slasher EA

It trades during certain times of day, but the manual doesn't describe what they should be. It has default settings, but they don't show what the GMT settings should be, only what the setting was when they tested it with "their" broker. I think they will probably make a correction to the manual and clarify, since it does not "auto-calculate" GMT offset, the way that Megadroid and Fapturbo does.

  16. Re: MegaDroid 1.1 craaacked

That's what I eventually did. It did 2 trades a few seconds apart, both in the same direction, the wrong direction, during some sort of market correction (drop). I have received mixed reviews from people using the new Pro Edition. Their new DLL file is spelled different than the old DLL file. So I am interested in seening if both versions can run on the same account, each using its own dll file. The new Pro edition will stop trading if your available margin drops below $400 beause it monitors how many charts you have it attached to, then divides your available margin by that number. :-? So, if you are just trading 2 currency pairs, then it divides available margin by 2, and the result needs to be above $100 or else none of the currency pairs will trade. If you trade 4 currency pairs, which is what it is made for, then $400 diveded by 4 means your actual free margin to trade is only $100 and not $400. The multipair 1.11 does not seem to have this restriction. But, I can see why the developers might have put it there for new traders who have problems with money management.

Remove them. I tried and GBPUSD hit SL three times this week, so I remove it yesterday.
  17. Re: MegaDroid 1.1 craaacked

1.11 Multipair and 1.11a Multipair must have some difference, but not what you explained.

1.11 Multipair can be used on more than one currency as well as 1.11a. So, I cannot seem to find what the difference is, I have gone all the way to post #1 and I was not able to find the explanation.

I took a big loss with GBP/USD and GBP/CHF last night, as the GBP fell. I'm not sure whether to remove these pairs or not from the EA?

    Hi All,

What is the difference between version 1.11a multipair and 1.11 multipair?

What is the best version ?

Where find the link for 1.11a multipair ?

    Thank you!

    1) the difference is that the multipair version has been edited to allow it to be attached and used on any currency pair unlike the original,

2 ) best one is which ever one performs best with your broker

    3) you can find the links to all the versions within this thread just go back through the pages a bit.

I have had no losses this week and a few pretty good trades, word from the wise though if you're going to use more than 10% for the love of god turn recovery mode off. In backtesting it can clear an account in a few days if the market takes a hard swing or a news event hits hard.
