  1. This EA seems to have so many identities. First it is sold as FTS, then when it arrives it is called Samurai. Now I am getting follow-up emails requesting that I purchase the "modified" and "optimized" version, which gives "even better" results than the one being sold by the original web site. And, this third version they are calling "Revolution" (not to be confused with the Revolution EA that was released over a month ago by a different company). Hopefully, someone will test this new "optimized" version, [http://forextradingscalperbonus.com/] and see if some of the bugs described by PryR2 have been fixed. :-?

Have you noticed, that Samurai-EA = Forex Automator Pro? ;)

At least, the settings are the same (apart the NFA one), I did not compare the code, though.

Curious, is it the same author?

  2. OK. Interesting. I have it attached to 2 different broker demo accounts, with no trades. Maybe it only works on live accounts, or maybe it's because both brokers I am testing with are 4 digit. I'll let it run another week and see what happens.

It needs no DLL ( there is no DLL defined and of course no DLL called in the code ).

Today I got a long on EURUSD in my live-account. Hit TP ( not difficult with TP=5 ).

I started using it today and therefore cannot tell about yesterday.

This Samurai-EA has nothing to do with the Samurai-Client-EA, which is a signal-service.

  3. Well, I'm starting to lose my patience with them also. Their origins seem sketchy. They are basically a white label of Gallant FX. The advantage of going white label is that you can open your own brokerage on a "shoestring budget". You can have little experience in setting up and operating a brokerage, have very little liquid assets to cover most regulator requirements (thus they are not regulated because they probably would not qualify). JadeFx recently had a similar problem, where their reserve funds did not meet Industry requirements and standards, and so they had to release all their US customers, or risk prosecution from the US Government. So, it' sort of like having an "uninsured" bank account. It's smooth sailing until the boat hits its first wave or two, then all the dominos fall.

I only got involved with them because the Fapturbo people gave them such high marks. But, now it seems that maybe the Fapturbo people may be "silent partners" somehow. But, I have no proof of this, just rumors. But, it does make sense. Their AICash robot was supposed to be "designed" specifically for this brokerage, yet it seems to either lose money or just go sideways. It opens and closes sometimes 10 trades a day, with the wins and loses cancelling each other out. The big winners are the sponsors who get their commission on each trade. So, even though the robot goes sideways, the commissions from 50 trades a week, makes "someone" a nice pile of cash. I'm going to give them a few more weeks to prove me wrong, and then I will probably be closing my account also. :(

I used to trade with them and often experienced consistent slippage, and it really felt like they intentionally slipped my orders. i.e. they advertise one price but they actually fill you at a worse price. When I say "consistent", I mean the slippage was exactly the same for multiple orders that I submitted one after the other. I programmed my script to calculate the slippage and print it to the log file, so I know.

Also, in live chat, they stated that if there are large spikes in the price feed then they will not compensate.

I've left them and do not intend to trade through them again.

  4. Sometimes my EA will get a small loss with them, when with other brokers on the same day will give a profit. But, only sometimes. So, maybe they are not ideal for scalping, but for longer term trades they may be OK. Also, as Hyper mentioned, their commissions are high. I reduced that a little by getting some cashback rebates before signing up with them. Also, their "free" VPS is not really free if you look closer. You need to do a minimum of 5 contracts a month for it to be truly free, otherwise there is an additional monthly fee. This is not true for other free VPS Brokers. GallantFX, for example, do not have a minimum to use their VPS, etc. :)

Nobody have experience with this Broker?

  5. There seems to be an EA also, but it is at extra cost at the bottom of the page. :-/

I took a look at the pdf files documentation, it's not an EA, it's some kind of template and you execute trades manually. Judging by the few samples it will work great in trending markets and you'll get slaughtered in ranging markets. Nothing new or revolutionary according to me.
  6. Original version was good on demo and live. But, only for the first 2 weeks. Like so many other EA's, it started to go negative after the 3rd and 4th weeks. I don't know if it was because it was curve fitted, or if it was because of the heavy extremes we experienced in late April and May? So, now it's in my "dead end" collection of deactivated EA's. :P

Demo account in RED with original and Version 3_3.
  7. It worked good the first 2 weeks it came out, then it crashed my live account several times until I gave up in May, and removed it. Maybe it will work good again if the markets ever get stable again...:-S

    Anyone still getting positive results?
  8. I get twice as many trades with their demo than I do with their live account. But, I guess that is true with most other brokers also:-?.

On Demo my EA`s works great! Next month i will give Real a Chance. We will see.

  9. I have been using Zulu for about 8 months. I blew my account up several times while trying to understand the bugs in the system. The first thing I found out is that it is loosely regulated when it comes to technology. For example, my signal provider would open and close several trades in a week, with a profit. BUT, when I would check my personal broker account, I would sometimes find 3 or 4 trades STILL OPEN, that were closed by the signal provider earlier in the week. So, while his personal stats showed he had 100% winning trades, I had 4 losing trades because the market had turned after he got out. When I contacted Zulu trade to find out why my trades were left open, they told me to contact the broker. When I contacted the broker, they told me to contact Zulu Trade. I lost over $300, and both Zulu and the Broker took no responsibility. There was another case where the signal provider decided to change VPS providers. He closed his accounts, but did not signal the rest of us. So, he got out with winning trades, and again "I" took a loss. Again both Zulu and the Broker claimed it was the signal provider's fault, but would not give me information how to contact him by email or phone. :(( So, when you lose money, you are on your own, even if it was someone else's negligence.

The bottom line is to monitor your account, and your signal provider's account. When you see him close a trade, and your trade stays open, be sure to close it manually, or you will be "up the creek without a paddle".

Another thing I learned is that some signal providers are able to manipulate their scores by keeping bad trades open for weeks at a time, or by doing only 1 or 2 safe trades a week, but making it look like they did 20 or 30 winning trades. They simply enter the same trade 10 times, and it looks like they predicted 10 different openings or closings. So, their statistics show "200 winning trades this month, with no loses". But, you have to look at all their multiple losing trades, that are never closed, so it shows 100% winning trades. Also, some providers, close their accounts every few weeks, then open the account under a different name, whenever their success levels go down. So, they go all year with "100% winning trades", but they had to change their name several times, and start with a fresh account, so that people will join their signal service.=))

I continue to trade with Zulu, but now I know better than to "trust" that the technology is guaranteed, because it is "not". :( But, other than that, I believe that the idea of Zulu is good, being able to test an EA, on a live account, without paying for it. ;)

    Hi everyone.

Apologise if this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it when I searched.

Has anyone ever trade with Zulutrade ? I tried them a while ago and didn't like it.

But recently I sign up again and I can see they have put more features and more brokers, this is a good sign.

If you use their service, please share it with us.

    Regards,

    Alex

  10. Maybe it is Ilan 1.5 instead? :P

I've checked the code...ilan5 is exactly same coding with ilan 1.6 that have been shared here before.

Why you name it as ilan 5?

Any things i have missed out or maybe you can further explain?

  11. If you look at the letterhead, there is no address or phone number for the Institute. It further states "Independently owned and operated". Which can mean anything. Without an address or phone number, the institute can be in his garage or bedroom.... :)) I also did a search on this institute, and any previous references to them on the Internet have been deleted. However, after further digging, they seem to be insurance brokers, maybe a sole proprietorship, and he does Forex as a hobby.:-?

Their website is updated with a letter from U.S. Trading Institute stating that the results are consistent with live results.

I tried to find out more about this U.S. Trading Institute, but I could not find any result from Google or Yahoo search.

Any idea if such institute exist?

  12. Sometimes when you copy and paste a password it will not work if there is an extra space copied before or after the word you are copying. Because even though it is a blank space, it is interpreted as a character. Or, some people accidentally copy one or both of the "quotation" marks, and when they are pasted in the password box, it will also fail. I ought to know, because I have done it so many times, when in a hurry. ;)

hmmmmm, tried it again and this time it worked.

    Must be losing my touch.

Then you guys don't seem to value this strategy very much, maybe not spend any time on it then.

    Manual trading is also fun.

  13. Thank you satoru4944. =D> I did see the Strategy report, but like many people did not remember that time frame is listed. When looking at the Strategy report, I was only looking at winning trades, losing trades, and the profit curve. I had it on 3 brokers, and the 1 minute time frame made did do better than the 5 minute TF. It didn't start to trade until approximately 22:00-22:30 server time.

I guess the 5M TF written on the EA was a mistake, or for some other strategy. On the eBay page it says that the EA comes with 3 Risk settings "Lowest, Normal, Higher", but I don't know what that is all about without a manual. The settings on the EA don't seem to use those terms.:-/

Please see ebay's Strategy Tester Report:)
  14. Have you gotten it to trade yet using this indicator? In the statements it seemed to trade every 4 or 5 minutes. But, I haven't seen it trade even once yet. Does it have a built in hours of trading, where it trades only during certain hours? :-?

Here is the indicator you asked for... It had a similar name from another similar EA (which doesn't work as promised anyway), and it uses the exact same parameters, so I renamed it for you. Enjoy!

  15. It depends on when you loaded it. When I first loaded it, it did not trade for 2 days. Also, On Thursday and Friday it did not seem to do any trades either. That's not necessarily bad though. All my EA's that are trading more often are losing this past 2 weeks. :| LOL

    hey all

the EA hasnt taken any trades any suggestions...??

  16. It seems to make a trade every few minutes. Normally systems like that have a lot of open positions that sometimes exceed any profit. I was not able to see how many open positions he has? :-?

If you look on eBay there are quite a few sellers like that. I would wonder why would you bother to sell stuff on eBay if you make good money trading?
  17. OK. That's why I was confused. The manual said that it only works with GBPUSD 1 hr. Maybe the EA you are using is a more advanced version. I'm just working with the basic EA which does one pair.

But, anyway, it is trading now. It went short on GBPUSD, and right now the price is bouncing up. So, it went short at the bottom of a down trend. :-? But, the trade hasn't closed yet, so we will see.

Do not trade on live !!!!! Cannot trust this. Put it on demo.

If you look at the Magic numbers both the GU GJ has the same. Needs to be changed!!!!

Second trade -$110 and now opened one in GU +$15.

  18. I'm curious. How does changing the magic numbers get it to trade? I thought magic number makes no difference as long as it is unique, and not used on any other charts?:-/

Change the Magic numbers. I had 1 trade overnight -$112 loss and one open -$15 on GJ. No trade on GU.
