My guess is : the DEVS had probably HEAVILY anticipated some piracy, since the stuff was an HIMALAYA of THEMIDA Calls, Crypting, and probably some very very very HIDDEN backdoor or mechanism permitting to launch a Time-Bomb in case of successful cracker !
