fx4_ever Posted April 6, 2011 Report Share Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) It's been a few weeks since testing this EA with correlation pair for those who can't hedge on same pair. So far, the result is pretty good. It seem to be holding well on margin usage and DD on 50:1 on Oanda platform. If continued at same rate, it could do somewhere between 30-40%/monthly, but testing in 2 weeks is hardly qualifies its profitability or safety of the system. Regardless of how good this system appear to be, I don't think it is possible to get 500% in 10 days (nor I would ever expect to make such profit) WITHOUT THE BIG RISK no matter how you select currencies to trade in my opinion. punkabas Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 hey guys, i am testing this ea since some weeks now. the results are good, but i am still very uncertain regarding the "martingale" bit in the ea. upto now, the ea made 372 trades with a profit factor of 1.51 which is ok! and 33% growth in 4weeks. not 500%.... honestly... 500% in 10 days... maybe possible. but for sure -100% are realisitc! facts: worst tade 109,82$; best trade 514$. i am only trading it on eurusd with basic settings. my concern is, that the averaging down tactics can blow you up i an really strong trend in the "wrong" direction. Lets see... Old demo results -98.75% weekly as always in drop-down menu... Alpari Demo accounts (the pro account) have very low spreads so this EA might be very spread dependent. But, we will see. I did managed to turn 10,000 into over 200,000 within 5 days with this method - which of course does not work on live accounts! chrisfx Posted July 31, 2011 Report Share Posted July 31, 2011 ...just use "common sense" just like you do in your every day life and you will be fine... either way trading alone is a risk as you never know if a trade will go south on you even if your using the best "holly grail", so gomo will not hurt using it as it uses a break even strategy, actually you have a better chance...(always keep an eye on it though). just my 2 cents... I can see "sleep" in the code but I don't know what to change exactly... So if it goes against the trend, then the EA should keep adding lots until the cycle has finished and closed everything with profit. (and no new trades until I say so!)
