  1. If occasionally,my pc run down or network broken, and i restart pc and EA.

Has it influence to the EA running?

This should be easy enough to test. If you have a demo setup on VPS, simply force a reboot and then observe what the EA does in the MT4 terminal window. Does it retain the delta's or recalc them? Does it start opening new positions? That's how to answer your question. I have not yet done this myself.

  2. my open trades - is there something wrong?

    5x USDCHF long

    2x USDJPY short

    2x GBPUSD long

    2x NZDUSD short

    2x USDCAD short

I don't think anything is wrong; the strategy is currently in DD for me, as well.

My open basket at Oanda is:

    4x USDCHF long

    3x GBPUSD long

    1x EURUSD long

    2x USDCAD short

    2x NZDUSD short

    1x AUDUSD short

    1x USDJPY short

    We'll see how it goes.

  3. Hi:

Did you figure it out? Did it work out the MM part for you? I am still running it with manual lot size (not MM).

Also, today, it opened 2 orders at exact same price, same time. Did you experience this as well? I've running this 2-1/2 weeks now and this is the first time it happened. I am not sure if this is norm or not.

I have the same two trades that opened at the same time.

As for the MM, I set the 'Lots=0.0' and put the 'TradeSizePercent=10.0' and it opened those two trades with the minimum lotsize of 0.01. Clearly, that doesn't put 10% of a $10000 USD demo account at risk, so I'm still trying to figure out what it is calculating. At the very least, we know that it is a solid EA when using fixed lots and I can manually set these to risk whatever % of the account necessary via a simple Excel calc; hopefully, we'll get the MM sorted out though as it is easier to have it handled by the EA.

If the thread is closed, we can continue the conversation via PM, OK.

  4. delta at 290 Uj 30 min 430 pips since may 18, DD 11%

Interesting results. Thanks for sharing your settings. Looks worthy of further testing for those willing to accept greater risk.

Right now, I'm still running a boatload of demos with 300 and 350 delta, but seems difficult for basket to reach TP of 0.25-0.35. I'm running small live account with a basket close EA and fixed $ profit target of roughly 1.3% of account size. This version set with 300 delta has closed two profitable baskets so far this week; currently in 3% DD. After watching the trading for a few days, I agree with the much earlier in the thread observation of 50pips that running a basket close EA is a key.

  5. I am receiving the following error message when using your EDU version and the demo dll files and indi's:

"Q-Aussie Forex System licensing process failed."

I simply dropped the edu EAs into the experts folder and fired up the platform. The dll's are loaded in the correct places, as well, so not sure what my issue is.

Also, did you guys notice the dates in the code for qdiamond100 and qdiamondfxII that were hard coded to be excluded from backtesting? Interesting what we find inside of these things, is it not.

    Best,

    c4p

  6. My apologies to all (most importantly to 50pips who shared this in the first place deserves much respect for his contributions here) for sharing after the removal by 50pips.

I didn't realize that he no longer wanted the EA posted. Sometimes I am busy and do not read things super closely.

Thanks to some of the other members of the forum for the heads up on this. Once again my apologies. I hope that no offense was taken.

  7. I also ran a trade manager to close all orders down when i was in total profit of $250. When its good u will get many $250 profits..then it might go into DD for 2 days then come back with multiple profits. The trick is to close every order open when $250 is reached. It will reopen orders again u will find but come into profit again and starts over and over until pairs move away from each other

I really like the idea of running this with a trade manager that will automatically close each basket at a set dollar target; after all, there is a lot to be said for an approach that frequently rings the cash register!!!

Could you please give a little more information about how you arrived at $250: what were the account parameters (lot size per 5000, account leverage, etc.)? This information would be of great use to me in thinking about what would be the appropriate basket target for my account. Given some of your earlier posts, it seems that the basket target of $250 was used for an account with 200:1 leverage; would it be safe to assume that a basket target of $62.50 would then be the appropriate number to think of?

Right now, I'm thinking of running a 50:1 leverage account with 0.10 positions per 5000, with a basket closure of $62.50, with everything else set at the defaults.

  8. Your account leverage (50:1, 100:1, 200:1, etc.) also plays into this decision. For example, I'm testing with 0.10 lot for each $5000 of equity because I'm US-based and have 50:1 leverage. If you had 100:1, you could use 0.20 for each $5000.
  9. I changed 'MaxLots' to 15.0, set 'Lots' to 0 and left 'TradeSizePercent' and 10.0.

MaxLots limited the EA to opening a 0.10 position on my initial trade; with 'Lots' at 0, I'm now testing to see what size position it will open based on 'TradeSizePercent'. My preference is always to set risk % when entering a trade, and it's just easier for me, if the EA handles this internally. This is why I was curious.

  10. Baila took its first trade for me on Oanda this evening, which is still currently open.

Quick question for the group: has anyone figured out the money management this EA uses? I didn't change the 'max lots' setting, so the trade I got this evening opened at the default of 0.10 no matter what I changed the other variables to. Just curious what others are seeing in testing that have played around with these variables.

  11. OK, I set up six demos this evening on Oanda starting with $10000 and 50:1 leverage. Lot size is set at 0.10 per $5000 as has been previously discussed on the forum. Three of the demos are using delta of 300, with the other three at 350; TP for each delta is 0.25, 0.30, and 0.35, giving us the six demos. Looking forward to seeing how this goes during the next couple of weeks....

Other setting suggestions are welcome of course!

  12. Also, one key thing to remember with a multi-pair EA trading off of a single chart is that it needs ticks. This means that if the USDJPY pair is trading slowly, the EA could miss some action going on in the other crosses. This is easily remedied by running a tick generator on your PC/VPS that sends ticks to your MT4 platforms at a set interval, eliminating this problem. I use the linked one live:

  13. Everytime you start this ea you need to not let it trade till the values are populated correctly. Then let it trade.

I am having no issues with it trading in lot sizes that are different from what I have put in the set file (.1 for all)

I am using delta 350 but changed from delta 300 which seemed good as well. So far is mostly winners. For sure the entire EA is in the positive.

Continuing to test on liteforex demo before I take ti live.

Thanks for the feedback Jayman007. I had the EA running the entire day, but using 1.0 for the lot value, which resulted in a margin call after four positions at 50:1, so I changed the settings this evening. I thought that I had given it enough time to populate, as all of the numbers looked as they should on the chart, but maybe I didn't.

  14. When running the EA for the first time on a fresh $10000 50:1 leverage Oanda demo account, using fx4_ever's settings of delta=350 and lot size of 0.10 for every 5000, after initialization, the EA opened a short USDCAD position of 0.20 and a long USDCHF position of 1.00. Given that most were reporting open trades in these pairs, I expected immediate trades; however, I did not expect them to be opened in varying position sizes. I checked the set file I am using and every pair has 0.2 for the lot size, which I had changed earlier this evening. Anyhow, we all know that MT4 has some quirks and I wondered if anyone else has had this issue pop up in their demo testing of the EA.

I went ahead and closed the trades manually and rebooted the terminal and await the next series to see what this sweet piece of kit does next. Thanks again to 50pips for this most outstanding share and to all the active contributors.

  15. I deleted all my posts (threads included) in forum because don´t want to create any misunderstood related my trading activities and business with the II.

As many here know me and contact with me outside the II forum, they know that i gave some good support and "tools" for traders develop their knowledge and make some money in market.

Motto here is sharing and caring, but most of newbies are never satisfied and for that reason will never succeed in the markets arena, because they will never stop the chase.
