  1. Just an FYI that GO Markets is no longer opening corporate/partnership accounts for U.S. citizens. They will honor existing accounts, but no new ones. They have not changed the verbiage on their website yet, but have made this move in response to recently enacted anti-money laundering legislation here in the States.
  2. Re: JadeFX Update - Got trades closed at market open on Sunday night, but only two closed from my terminal before I was taken "Off quotes" for over 30 minutes. Had to have Jade support close the trade for me directly. Not acceptable.... Closed my account, funds received by wire, and have moved on.
  3. Re: JadeFX Another day with a massive outage of service blamed on the "liquidity provider", as the quotes froze on Friday afternoon at 12:46 EST in the USA. As soon as I can get my trades closed, I'm done with these guys. Not ready for prime time....
  4. Re: Go Markets Can anybody recommend a good Aussie VPS with low latency to Go Markets?

Re: FXPRO Received this notice today: Dear Client As part of our commitment at FxPro to being transparent and supportive of our clients, and making sure you are informed of any important business developments, we are now writing to all of you with an update about a strategic business decision we have made about the provision of services. Since the launch of our business, FxPro has developed good business with clients across the globe, in over 120 countries. We are proud of this achievement, as we are in the ability to serve you in 10 languages, with platforms that operate in 17 more besides, and a Customer Support team that cares about delivering quality of service to each and every one of you. For some time now we have recognised that the majority of you, our clients, are resident across the European Union countries and our emerging markets. Our growth in these particular markets has become one of our core strengths. We have therefore decided to focus our business solely within these geographies and clients who reside within them. According to our records, you have been identified as being a resident of the United States of America and for all of our clients who are currently residing in the US, we recognise the importance of this decision to you and we apologise for any inconvenience this development may cause you. However, in order to make every effort to treat all clients fairly during this decision and to reduce any impact on your trading activity we wish to give you a full three-month notice period prior to implementation, therefore allowing you sufficient time to wind down your trading activity, and manage your portfolios successfully. Procedure for managing existing Accounts: This applies to all Trading Accounts which belong to US Resident Clients At the closing of the day of the 25th January 2010 (00:00 Server Time) all affected Trading Accounts are expected to have NO Open Positions. At the same time ALL Pending Orders will be cancelled, and All Open Positions will be automatically closed at that time at the last available price. After the 25th January 2010, the status of these Trading Accounts will be set to “Read Only” in the MT4 Trading Platform, meaning that NO Trading activity can be performed, but fully accessible for reference and historical analysis. On January 26th 2010, all remaining funds in the accounts will be refunded to the original source. If you have received this communication in error and are not a U.S. resident we strongly urge you to contact our Backoffice department, [email protected] who will guide and assist you accordingly. Following this notice, we will subsequently send out reminder notices by email to US resident FxPro traders only, two months’ prior and one month prior to 25 January 2010. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. Vincent Lee Head of Customer Support

Re: FXPRO Funny that the story seems a little different in each conversation. Just glad that I won't have to move things around for now.

Re: FXPRO FxPro is no longer accepting new U.S.-based clients and existing clients will eventually be winding down operations with them per the chat transcript posted below from a few minutes ago: info: Thank you for contacting FxPro Live-support. The next available operator will be assigned to you. info: You are now chatting with 'Lorraine', May i have your FxPro account number please? you: xxxxxx Lorraine: Hello, How may I assist you? you: I read on a message board that FxPro is no longer accepting US clients. If true, how is this going to impact existing relationships? Lorraine: The Company has decided to concentrate on the EU and emerging markets where it has a niche. In light of this strategic decision, the Company is not accepting new clients that reside in the US. Existing clients residing in the US will be given sufficient time to manage their positions and portfolios, and further notice will be provided to them soon. you: Thanks for the clarification. Lorraine: You're welcome
  8. Re: FXCBS Bredman - I have found the execution quality to be worse at FXCBS than JadeFX when running the same EA's at both brokers. With JadeFX, sometimes slippage will go against you, sometimes it will go in your favor. Slippage always seems to go against you at FXCBS. Also, as mentioned in another post, FXCBS swaps are way out of whack compared to JadeFX. If you have traded with MB Trading before, it seems that FXCBS is following their model of having terrible swaps on both sides of the trade as the price for providing ECN/STP liquidity. This is funny in that in a fast market news trade, I got taken "off quotes" with FXCBS while the same EA was able to close the same trade at a profit at JadeFX. I don't understand "off quotes" in an ECN environment. Given this, I moved to close my FXCBS account and moved all my ECN business to JadeFX. Account closure process is smooth with FXCBS. Took one business day to receive my wire transfer last week.
  9. Re: FXCBS I had a MD trade go "off quotes" when it tried to close yesterday, resulting in about 4 pips slippage compared to JadeFX where I am also trading live. I thought FXCBS was supposed to be ECN and that this would not be an issue with them. Oh well.... Soon might get to see how quickly the withdrawal process goes.
  10. Re: FXCBS I have heard that affiliate/IB payout from FXCBS is 25% of commission generated.
  11. Re: FXCBS I also got hit with an unexpectedly high wire fee to fund my account. Their bank charged me 30 USD instead of the 10 USD they have listed on their website.
  12. Re: JadeFX Anyone use them? Had trouble with platform setup once account was funded. Jacob and the security team worked overtime to get the issue resolved and me up and trading. Will have to report on fill quality, etc.; however customer service gets a BIG thumbs up so far.
  13. Re: Go Markets Not right now, but they are reviewing their policy due to the situation in the US with the new NFA rules. Maybe they will in the future....
  14. Re: [Need Info] Forex.com (Gain Capital) I have also moved accounts there and found the UK branch to be better than my expectations. Spreads are OK; not bad, but not great. Pedestrian broker, but you will get your money back.
  15. Re: FXCBS I tried to open with Go Markets, but they don't open accounts for US residents.
  16. All About Tadawul FX Anyone with experience trading with Tadawul FX? Gold/silver in addition to FX on the MT4 platform is a + to me.
  17. Re: FXCM with MT4 Platform You can use FXCM UK if you are a US resident; however, I would think twice about doing that, as their spreads are horrendous. Approximately 0.7 pip wider than Gain Capital/Forex.com UK, and 1.5+ wider than true ECN. They claim that the Boston Technologies MT4 is true ECN, but that couldn't be further from the truth. If you do open an account, I'd stay with systems that are not spread sensitive.
  18. Re: Fxopen a Scam or not? Difficult to fund account.
  19. Anyone using FXCBS? I would be interested in your experience. Commissions seem steep at $8 per standard lot; however, ECN feed via MT4 and no NFA issue. Thoughts?
