Timingsolution & Nifty Updates - 2

Timingsolution has changed this year with exe's being similarly named TS.exe. Earlier, TSA.exe was for Timing Solution Advanced and TS.exe for Terra. Hence I am not sure whether the original model/patch will work or not. Hence the new thread. Download the files from below links:

Instructions:

 

1. First take a backup of your works in TSA/TS. And uninstall TSA/TS.

2. Install the new version of TSA. Copy the TS.exe as TSA.exe. This is to preserve TSA interface without the clutter of TS. Extract the patched exe and loader to the install path.

3. If you are familiar with Ollybdg, find your serial from the address at 006E25C8. EDX reveals your 16 digit serial. Paste this in the software and you are good to go.

4. If you want to go the patch route, then run the tsa_.exe . Its important that you have copied the TS.exe as TSA.exe earlier.

5. Run the Terra update and after install run the load_ts.exe. This will load the Terra version of the program.

6. This way, you can either run TSA or Terra. Hopefully, the loader works for future versions too.

7. The patch/loader are programs that are either modified or modify the executable in memory, so AV software might flag them. You can ignore them or allow them through the AV.

 

Follow the instructions without fail, else it might not work.

I have some serious doubts about the software and author. The new version of TSA is to avoid a certain bug in Turbo cycles. Likewise I have seen so many bugs (not exactly bugs, rather serious revisions, altogether not working or wrong types) over the period of years which make me wonder whether the software is reliable or not. I know one cant predict the future with certainty but this software looks like half-baked to me personally. While I might not use the software, I will try to post only stable versions now onwards. There were 3 revisions in the past 1 week alone!

When I run only the update file for 27 Jan without uninstalling the old files, it still update as per normal and my old Timing Solution seem to run quite normally. Only when I load historical csv file, there seems to be some screen glitches. Otherwise, the data loads well.

 

Maybe others will have other feedback.

Thats precisely the reason I wanted to uninstall the old versions. Keeping the old version may retain some old files which may be incompatible with the new versions.

 

Did you run the old patch of Terra or the load_ts.exe? I dont think loading csv files will be an issue, so far haven't heard of this issue. I use the metastock data to load and never had issue.

 

Let me know if others have issues.

The sentence starts with 'if you are familiar'. Take your clue from there. Its not fun!!

 

Regarding the patched file, which file are you referring? tsa_.exe or load_ts.exe ? Anyway, your AV might be the reason. I tested both the files multiple times and in 2 different computers with fresh installs and i am able to make them work.

There was a typo in the address, its only 7 char long. Corrected it at #1 post.

 

Also, note that when you install the tsa for the first time, it works as Timing Solution Adavnced. The address is valid for TSA only. When you install the Terra update, the original address is no longer valid and a different address is needed. This is the reason, I told to copy TS.exe as TSA.exe to preserve the original TSA. Run ollydbg on TSA.exe and I am sure you will find the location.

Modach, I dont know what's wrong with your install or why they dont work. AV is antivirus ! And when you are working with cr@acks and loaders, you should be aware how AVs will react, Sorry cant help other than this.

Please, provide further details regarding these "serious revisions" that have made you to doubt the software's reliability. I say this because I am finding the software very useful to my trading.

1. You have to run Olly only for TSA mode. The address is valid only for TSA and NOT for Terra.

2. I made the loader keeping in mind the new TSA and Terra exe's. If the old cr@ack works fine, continue to use it.

I bought the software then tried to install to my different PCs by using ollydbg but couldn't figure it out. here's the link https://filebin.net/mdpwq5p85u0zfnzo I do have star trax .... Actually, you can ask to install to 2 computers and perhaps 3 computers. You can ask MoonAngel at Alphee for that. I will PM you further.
