bluemac Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 No journal only means gambling while having no risk control is donating. No edge in entries alone 🎯
binaryowner Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 entries alone are rarely the whole edge. Two traders can take basically the same setup and get completely different results just from sizing, exits and how consistently they follow the plan. A journal makes that pretty obvious after enough trades

bluemac Posted October 13 Report Posted October 13 Entry gets likes, exit pays your bills and most blow on position sizing, not entry.
binaryowner Posted 53 minutes ago Report Posted 53 minutes ago Exactly, people spend so much time searching for perfect entries while exits and position sizing often have a bigger impact on the final result. You can have a decent win rate and still lose money if your average loss is much larger than your average winner. That's why tracking expectancy across a decent sample of trades tells you more than just looking at how often you're right
