A super big lose in Eurjpy..... Hmmmm.. my recovery mode is active... Also very worry..

Rio, why did you have a EURUSD loss? you use a non-default logic on that?

 

No it was default logic. If you take a look in the standard Megadroid thread, you'll see that everyone got hit by it.

There was a spike in the EURUSD during the asian session that crossed the stop-loss. The price corrected eventually but the damage was already done.

 

This is not the first time there have been spikes in the EURUSD during the quiet hours. It seems like some big Japanese name loves to shove huge volume around this time occasionally, and if you're on the wrong side of it Megadroid will tap-out.

 

I also have a hanging EURGBP trade that doesn't seem to want to come down into break-even, and it's inching closer to the European open, which is slightly worrying. It's bad enough that the EURUSD has had two losses in a row for me. I had the EURCHF escape recovery mode during trading this morning, but it seems that EURGBP may hit recovery mode from this one.

 

I'm still up 10% for this month however -- so can't complain too hard. :-bd

 

Seems like a big problem with Megadroid is that a lot of the time, the asian session slowly retraces on a big move prior to it and MD continues trading in the direction of the big move. Thing is, the retracement sometimes spikes out of range and then stop losses get hit.

Yeah I read that many of you have the EURUSD hitting stoploss... but my live account on LiteForex didn't have any EURUSD trade (no error or spread warning on expert tab)... the only SL was the EURJPY though.

 

I have the EURGBP hanging too, but I don't seem to worry that... it seems it is on down trend for H4 chart, and the stoploss is far away... so there's a chance it will break even later... though "hoping" like this is a big NO-NO in forex.

Well for some reason, the EURGBP trade closed itself in the red even though it was starting to come back.

Overall, the worst session of trading so far. Some good trades for small profits overwhelmed by two big losses.

 

EURUSD and EURGBP will be in recovery mode for the next trading session and possibly next week. EURUSD has a LOT of ground to cover before it gets itself out of it's hole.

 

It's interesting to be going through this actually, to see how MegadroidPro handles things when multiple pairs are in recovery mode.

 

Meanwhile, advanced droid tactics has been making some extra coin with the EURUSD...... but no other pairs at this stage.

Still trying to figure out its exit strategy... this way we can determine whether a losing trade should be closed manually or not...

My results with LiteForex is so different with you all on other brokers, I don't have a EURGBP trade with logic 3... but I have a EURGBP trade with logic 4 (I set up both logic 3 and 4 on EURGBP)... it is still trying to reach the breakeven or 1 pip profit level... while yours have closed in negative (I believe yours was using logic 3, right?)

Anyone can give an good insight?

So far Mdpro XE is good for me.

 

Except that i hope it will generate more trades (GREED).

 

Anyone is running all the version side by side with a same broker to compare the "differences" in trades in each version?

I have XE running on different live accounts and demo accounts.

Most of the trades differ, but not all. I'm willing to believe that spreads plays a part in whether MDPro decides to take a trade or not. Sure, there is a max spread per pair, but how high the actual spread is would play a part I'd wager.

 

If someone could take a look at the code and decipher it, we'd know for sure.

 

And if you want to trade more, consider advanced droid tactics on the EURUSD pair.

I am still looking at other pairs for ADT workability, but EURUSD seems like a sure thing.

I am at Alpari UK and trade EURUSD GMT+1 which means trades open 22:00-00:00 Alapri time. I want the trades within the same window for EURCHF and EUGBP so I also have these set at GMT+1 but I have had trades open at 00:33 and 00:59 for these pairs. Whats going on? Are the trading windows different?

Thanks man I will run backtests on these today on fxdd. Question, I notice on usdcad you run logic 5. What are the settings for that? I was running logic 2 on usd cad but logic 4 backtests much better
