Rio Posted August 14, 2009 Report Share Posted August 14, 2009 Re: Megadroid Pro I've been having a look at the advanced droid tactics... and the interesting thing about it seems to be that you can actually get away with attaching MDPro onto 3 different EURUSD charts and have them trade at:- Default trade times 21,23,22,23 Default+4 trade times 1,3,2,3 Default+6 trade times 3,5,4,5 ...and if you are feeling lucky, Default -2 trade times. 19,21,20,21 (can't recommend this one though) I decided to try this out on the other supported and unsupported pairs in backtesting within MDpro XE, and sure enough, most of them are profitable (at least all the ones I have backtested! I am still testing the others). I would *seriously* avoid using any JPY,AUD,NZD unsupported pairs at non-standard times however. So get this everyone... with these customized and educated versions we have lying around, we could probably trade at least 4 times more than we are getting now, AND get away with it. Even better is that the brokers we use won't be able to do a damn thing about it raising spreads unless they maintain high spreads right through these times when most "normal" manual traders are trying to trade. The EURUSD seems to be a big loser in that time frame, even with EURGFBP logic, but other pairs work OK. It's a bit hit and miss. Safe to say, that I wouldn't run extra droids at non-standard times without thoroughtly backtesting the pair and logic first. Having said that, there's the possibility of running in excess of 20 droids on the same account and having them trade like made and work together -- PROFITABLY! Only thing is, I don't think metatrader 4 will let you have that many charts, and even if you did get that many, lets hope your computer has a LOT of memory! ...then there is the issue of hedging, which would undoubtedly occur trading like this.... I´ve had MD with dll and without dll on various brokers demos parallel with identical results on some days, and different on others... To reduce the memory load on your PC: 1. For all charts open expand the candles to their max size. 2. Tools > Options > Charts. Change the two numbers at the bottom to 516. This will not be good for backtesting...install another instance of MT4 for backtesting and keep these numbers default. You will notice a lot less memory use.
