hey gang is it possible for someone to edit the indie so it plots on any instrument and not just the es, nq, and ym ?

 

i tried to edit the code but i can't do anything... :(, hopeless for me...whateve has to do with code ...

trader1968 and Cash...here is what I found from some quick poking around in the code...

You can edit line 28...here is what I did...

if (((strArray[0] != "ES") && (strArray[0] != "CL")) && (strArray[0] != "TF")) //ym nq

...this is where I added CL and TF in place of YM and NQ. It plots...NOW, whether it use useful or worthwhile on those instruments may be another story but at least you can experiment if you are so inclined. Remember to compile and save after making those modifications.

We will await any reports of success!

Your guess is as good as anyone's.

He noted on Monday/Tuesday that he will NOT be releasing the GPS in NinjaTrader format to anyone. It will only be available to view in his room.

He believes that the Sierra version, which he releases to users, is "unhackable"?!

Hi tryitagainmf, Hope all is great with you-

attaching link to the ross hook that omaron(have not seen around but hope all is ok- and Thank You! for all) provided some time back--Not as a replacement for the one you posted, but rather for the code(not that I have a clue--LOL)

But in the indi parameters this one has settings for font, size, etc.. thought maybe you/or anyone willing to help can look in the code and figure out how to apply to the indi you want to modify.

newbie...thanks for taking the time to look and suggest .

I do have that version you are showing as well and when I compare the two, my "original" version provides the "3" for the hook far more reliably...it is a .dll so I was not able to get into the open .cs file and "cut/paste" the desired sections.

I'm going to open that .cs file with Notepad++ to see if I can copy/paste anything!

Mates:

Have a particular RossHook123 indicator that requires some coding assistance to improve it.

For me, the RossHook has been a powerful trading help, used in a very specific (probably non-standard) manner. I look at it when the "3" is formed (NOT the RH itself) on a certain type of Renko/Heiken Ashi setup.

The problem for me is that I would like to have the number print much bigger/bolder on the chart and/or an alarm/alert sound when the "3" prints. The .cs file has 2400+ lines of code and I have tried to add some components to the file to achieve my print or alert goals...all without success.

So can anyone interested in looking at the code point me in the right direction for either or both modifications?

@admis brings an important point...it is work to code and to do the educating that some are selflessly and generously providing to us on the I-I Forum.

That said, there is a 2+ year old thread on the Ninja Forum where some NinjaScript coders do provide some content. They may respond to your inquiry there...the odd thing is the original poster claiming to be willing to do the developing never responded again after the original offer...only those who were willing to donate their time, talent and effort...

Members are telling others that they receive the warning from mediafire when following the original links.

As a test, I received the same warning as posted by azimyt. So, with a warning directly from the download site itself, it should make one wary to install a 3rd party downloader when they are already being warned about potentially dangerous files. The compound problem is that you are directed away from them by mediafire itself and made impossible to access.

So, several members have requested posting of the RARs to another site due to this problem.

My honest question...why is it so difficult for those who have successfully downloaded the RARs already to take 2 minutes to repost them to sites like limelinx, mega, anon, etc, etc?! Not trying to pick on anyone here but it is a matter of showing appreciation for what has been posted, to help out other members who, for whatever the reason, cannot access.

Let's not leave it up to egaalh to have to post it elsewhere again...he has already done his part...someone who has already successfully downloaded take the initiative to repost on another site for the benefit of others.

Hi my fellow Traders...

1st: Yes, the Div needs some Bars to repaint the yellow Dot. Therefore he "needs" the Sym-Renko (maybe!- i´m sure, that he needs it really for painting the Pin-Bars, Dojis and Hammers. I was over 3 years in the Room, and know, that this Bars on Key-Levels work really fine) Maybe you can program a small stategy: "... if the Bar closes Close over Open (what is not paintet in the Moment of close), then go in the market -and this strat. you have to turn on on Key-Levels. He said, that the entry is 7 or more Ticks OVER/UNDER the PIlow/high. Therefore you need a fast Finger :-)) This little strat. would help - i think (I just looked the Videos in "SloMo"), BUT:

IF a good Setup comes, then it comes really good. Therefore you need A: Volume (= Time of Day) and/or B an Angle of Magenta and/or a big Spread (or widen S) on Ma´s M5 (are really Helpfull). (First Test Magenta M5 is such a Key-Level).

But i think, we don´t have to play arround for some Ticks on Entry: its much more better to Filter out the good Trades. When is it choppy(Time of Day, before News, after big Moves,...)? Sideways-Markets are working also -min. Break even. Problem is just chop-chop. Therefore i read the News-Calendar.

 

Value Area:

Maybe the "VWAP Market Profile" from a Vol-Chart and Intraday-Setup :-)?

 

Better to find some (one or two) good Places for a Setup a Day on each Market (like Conflue LIS [Lis looks like the "ana SupertrendU11" but i´m not sure-sorry for comment if someone wrote that in the Past]/SymDots/First Test Magenta, or Just Sym-Dots as Retest in a strong Uptrend or something like this.

 

PS:

Sym-Renko: Maybe try the normal Renko with Heiken-Ashi, then you can count the Bars? IMO these are "hidden" Range-Bars.

LisaAkira...Just tested both of the links from rhv and they both work. The problem is the an0nf1iles link is a blank file download and the hidemyObama link contains the template from rhv.

You have to remember to substitute with these URL's when you see numbers/symbols where letters should be.

Every day a different set of chart setups and approach to "trading" presented by a guy who is not a trader (by self-admission), found a cheap coder to do some work for him, only shows SIM results (when he rarely shows them) and whose company name GMM means "Grand Master Marketer"?! I question that he is/was actually an accountant...yesterday he told his story of being in the scr@p metals business and in installing granite kitchen counter-tops...

Today/tonight is the "BIG RELEASE" as he has been hyping for the past fortnight to a month or more.

That message means you already had "Compile" errors in Ninja. You must open a .cs file, compile and then resolve the errors that show at the bottom of the page after compile.

From the Control Center go to Tools> Edit NinjaScript> Indicator (and then select any indicator listed...it does not matter which one, NT compiles everything every time a "Compile" command is enacted).

When the page comes up with the Indicator Script either hit the Compile button at the top or just hit F5. At the bottom of the page you will see the errors listed and what files they are related to. Sometimes it is a simple matter of manually removing the offending files, other times one removal begets another list of errors as other files may have been dependent on the file removed.

Always remember to Compile again after manual removal of a .cs file. Hope this helps!

He has been around since earlier this year and has provided some interesting entertainment. As Yama, Cash and others have pointed out earlier in the thread he changes his charts daily with his toys, talks only about trades after the fact and does only SIM trading, even in the testing of his auto-traders. He is very much a salesman and not a trader.

Looking to see if he does have anything to offer with his "final" versions supposed to be released next week. As I said earlier, in the hands of a proper trader and coder/educator, one or some of his many toys may have trading applicability. We will see.
