Re: Blessing 2 v5.2 with Stochastic Indicator
I didn't have the time to test it and the indicator wasn't the same version as used for the original piece of code. I don't even think the EA is the same, seeing that lines mentioned there are 500/600 and the EA has like 300 total. Anyway, I believe I tossed the indicator at the right position and I also updated it to pass the correct parameters to the indicator after Stormin_Norman told me it wasn't working correctly.
Get the modified version at http://www.4shared.com/file/160304582/2c1b71e2/
The indicator used is the one mentioned by Stormin_Norman.
My $0.02: the ea is not good with or without the extra indicator.

Re: Decompile Dll Files
If they can be found here, why not get them from here?
If you have something that can't be found, I can try helping you. Even better, you can post them here and there are others who might be faster than me to help you. Anyway, since I don't read all the forums regularly, it's a good idea to send me a PM when you do post them. If you want them kept private until any account info etc. is removed you can also send the file links via PM.

Re: How can I make an EA invisble for the broker ???
A better solution would be to change to a different bucket shop. Once they caught on, they will do everything they can to mess up your trades if you're costing them money. If you trade sufficient volume, it's pretty easy to adjust the rates to hit your stop loss, knowing that you trade during news. On top of that, you can't complain much because news spikes are not uncommon.

Re: [share] Triangular Arbitage EA
Triangular arbitrage is almost impossible in todays markets, the market is just too efficient, if an opportunity does arise, guess who takes it????That's 100% correct. Banks have safeguards in place against it and adjust their offered liquidity rates internally before one can take advantage.
-
Re: [share] Triangular Arbitage EA
I know Triangular Arbitrage can be successful. Check out this commercial Triangular Arbitrage managed fund:hxxp://www.arbitrage-forex.com/
That's actually a martingale crap with a description designed to lure the potential newbie investor with terms that sound smart. If you inspect the results, it's trading over 25 lots at some point. If you don't see the problem with that, you're one of the potential target victims.
Triangular arbitrage in its original definition cannot be successful because the banks that provide most of the liquidity are pretty far from stupid.

Re: Cloverix EA
no, it's not, it's a scalper.

Re: REQ - V2Bot and EasternMoon EA
Birt, you are absolutely right, i got sucked into buying this ea, tried to get a refund with no evaile after testing and it not living up to the sellers claims
so you buy the ea, then you have to lose another $300 in your real account within one week before a refund is considered...im mean come on !!!
I'm sorry to hear that :(
However, that edited statement does look very nice and you couldn't have known it was fake before buying the EA...
-
Re: REQ - V2Bot and EasternMoon EA
A slightly older version of V2Bot is in the "Post your ex4 here" thread on page twenty something, see http://indo-investasi.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3607&start=230
The EA is utter crap, though. The backtests are bad; in case you wanna see the results, they're posted in my review, see

Re: Forex Bling-Exclusive Report pdf ForexHope EA
Nah, actually the code is in a somewhat working state but very disorganized and sloppy. My opinion is that their forex technical aspect is not particularly good either. I forward tested the whole bling package for a while and the results have been bad. Forward tested fractals, the results have been bad there as well. Plus I've never heard anyone claiming they actually made money using the forex hope EAs.
-
Re: Forex Bling-Exclusive Report pdf ForexHope EA
Yep, the code is pretty much spaghetti code. They're one of the worst written EAs I've seen and there have been endless problems with them since forever. I can't say much about the logic behind them (except that if you run the whole package it seems to be losing) but the code is rather bad and disorganized.

Re: Forex Bling-Exclusive Report pdf ForexHope EA
Password is indo-investasi
Evolution2, unlike Evolution1 does not connect to the server to fetch the breakout limits so now it can even be backtested.
All the others, including Fractals, no longer call back to the server and can be backtested. The automatic GMT offset that was calculated using the server is now calculated using the local system time.
If your backtests aren't working, try visual mode and see if you get any error.

Re: Fx Equity Builder EA
Version 1.5:
http://sharebee.com/1f0a4c5a
Password: indo-investasi
The same restriction with hex editing the DLL applies as to previous versions, the offset is still 5e0.
The EA doesn't work good at all. It's a martingale that will ruin your account. I wrote a full review of it including test results at:
http://eareview.net/archives/122
Edit: for how to modify the DLL, see the other Equity Builder thread at http://indo-investasi.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=5611&start=60

Re: Building your own EA G/08.
MathFloor always produces an integer LOWER than the value given. (in other words, it ALWAYS rounds down and not up)I meant to click quote and I clicked kudo instead :p
Anyway, you can use MathFloor to round up as well. Say that you have a value with 2 digits after the comma and you want to round anything below or equal to 0.5 to the integer below and anything above 0.5 to the integer above - it's very simple: instead of doing MathFloor(value, 0) you do MathFloor(value + 0.49, 0).

Limitations & dll removed:

I don't know why anyone would want to waste their time with this, it's basically crap, as can be seen on the author's website:
http://sites.google.com/site/drchuckiestradingtools/Home/tsone
Then again, someone might want to play with the code, so here it is.

Re: Req. Hedge fund strategy EA
I don't think it's martingale. Given the winning percents, the avg win:avg loss ratio, the profit factor and the drawdown, it looks very much like a scalping EA. In any case, I strongly doubt profitable wallstreet traders are scalping the forex market, heh. In fact, it's probably a copy of one of the many, many EURCHF scalpers out there. What a feeble scam attempt, they couldn't even afford to get their own domain name...

Re: FX Genuis Robot Discussion
So far six trades all losses. Not sure if this will ever work as advertised and do not really have the time to go through major setups and trails as I have a ton of programming work to do here for other people.
Might place this on the back burner for the time being till I catch up to my own work here.
Will see.
Oh, I posted without reading this one. You are right: finding a good setup will be a royal pain in the a**, not to mention that because it only uses a single source feed, you might end up screwing yourself up due to internet latency, which is probably what happened in the case of your 6 trades. On top of that, if you do find a working setup, you're probably limited to a few days' worth of trades until they figure it out.
-
Re: FX Genuis Robot Discussion
Pheniox, no offense meant, no offense taken :)
However, my opinion is that you wasted the money. It will take you ages to find a good setup (use Jade or ATC for master, whichever has a better ping, but good luck finding a slave) and it is also extremely risky to run it, because if you piss off the broker, withdrawing even your original deposit will take quite a while, they're expert in delaying it. I'm also willing to bet that if you do manage to use it successfully, you'll get a warning in less than 3 days and they're gonna ask you to stop, regardless of what slave broker you're using. These being said, I wish you good luck and the least amount of problems with the brokers :)

Re: caspian EA
as far as i know the default hours is based on GMT+2... it means the EA should trade from 21-24 GMT, so change it to your broker GMT offset
Their tests are run on FxOpen with 22-24 EURGBP respectively 23-03 EURCHF:
http://www.caspianea.com/BackTests/EURGBP_Apr_2009.html http://www.caspianea.com/BackTests/EURCHF_Jul_2009.html
I've just installed the FxOpen client and I can confirm that their GMT offset is +3. So, unless I'm somehow mistaken, the EA creators run it with 19-21 GMT EURGBP and 20-00 GMT EURCHF as the trade interval.

Re: FXgenuis robot
You do realize you're basically cheating the broker, right? Since this probably works only on market makers and bucket shops, you're taking profits that are coming from their pockets. No broker in their sane mind will let you do this, much less let a group of people do it (assuming you share the resulting EA). My 0.02$: you're wasting your time.
-
Re: FXgenuis robot
@Stormin_NormanThats not cheating I think...Its getting advantage of unfiltered data
Still, brokers WILL warn you & eventually close your account if you do it. If you read the agreements closer, all the brokers' agreements have provisions against arbitrage, internet latency and "pip hunting".

Re: New Release Of Trading Platform Must Read
Does anyone have a beta version of MT5? Or even heard of one floating around?
-
Re: Decompile Dll Files
I see. And what would you like it to do or not do? From what I can see, there's no problem with it and it seems to be working fine? It says "registered" in the experts log in my client...

Re: Cloverix EA
If you could get another copy from someone else, seeing the differences between the two copies could quickly reveal where the traces of the serial are.1. The EXE is packed with ASProtect, which makes two copies almost 100% different.
2. After dumping them and removing ASProtect, they even have different sizes. A diff file is >1 MB.
3. They're switching to a DLL (or perhaps already switched), making a comparison pointless.
Edit: I'm not saying it's uncrackable. I'm just saying that it's not a 5 minute job and I'm simply not willing to put any more time into it.

Google "tuts4you". It's a really good resource to begin with, but I warn you, it takes a rather long time to become proficient.
