Re: DRAGONPIPS
Can you show us Mindsphere how you got it to use manual lot size setting?
and I dont mean use the 1 decimal, but have you got it to where you can type 1.3 lots for exmaple and it will only use that?

Re: DRAGONPIPS
I know my risk is high but backtesting continues to show high profits and until I start to lose more than what I started with for the previous week I will keep this up
My live account over 14 weeks has averaged 19.6% per week, so happy with this
As I make more will start to tune down the risk, if i start to go backwards will also tune down risk and try to work out why and make the necessary changes
whatever the risk is, it wont make you win more trades, if your losing consistantly then the EA needs to be reviewed, so far though 110% happy with Dragonpips for 2009 with EURCHF, maybe next year a different pair will exceed EURCHF in performance and different hours traded also as the market continues to change

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Sorry, my mistake, I mean my account is now back to $4940 not $1490!!! lost $1k from that spike
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
One did, the other hung in there (around 10 pips away from opening price) for around 24 hours (over night) but closed out to loss due to that huge spike
But, I am not concerned, you can see in backtesting it will lose from time to time but overall stays quite profitable. I had my live account today this week alone go from $5300 to $5960 but now back to $1490 due to that spike
If the spike had gone one pip less, it would not have closed out for a loss as it came back and would have closed another profitable trade and I would be up to around $6200 by now. Oh well, thats trading for you
Time to build this up again

Re: DRAGONPIPS
EUR spiked south badly today
Hit my SL on EURCHF after closing two profitble trades, this is quite rare to see on EURCHF during these times though and I am trading 19-1 (GMT time)

Re: DRAGONPIPS
JadeFX time, the buy opened at 20.35, Sell at 22.16 so both before 24.00
Today I had Jade set to trade 20-23, but from tomorrow 20-1
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
I have disabled the time protection completely, the versions I posted have this disabled by default
I will be trading live from tomorrow for GoMarkets 21-3, JadeFX 20-2
But with the tp=6 not 5, the versions I posted have the 5 TP
Only EURCHF pair though, trades =2, 50% risk, lot decimal =2

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Yep, only pair that is making consitant profit is EURCHF, but markets change, last year EURGBP was the pair to trade when looking for scalping opportunities during the Asian trading session
My 2 JadeFX trades havent really moved at all, buy and sell within 4 pips from the price it opened
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Try backtesting EURCHF with the order protection off (the versions I posted) trading GMT 19-1
For JadeFX for example (GMT +1) 20-2, max trades 2 risk 50%
Tp - 6 (5 is default)
SL - 32
$5300 start, from April 5 to today it takes it makes $1,222,507.64 90% modelling with only 9.42% risk
I know backtesting it not 100% accurate but nevertheless stunning results!!!!

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Strange, I am using V4 on JadeFX live account EURCHF only 20-23 trading max trades 2 risk 50%
and it has opened a buy and sell, still both open, not seeing any errors or bugs
I have have traded this on my ECN goMarkets and had two profitable trades, no probs there either

Re: DRAGONPIPS
This is exciting news!!!
Great job quicksilver, cant wait to test it
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
it is off by default if you download from my attachment
If you download from Chankl78 it is on by default
Some may prefer this to be on as it may have smaller losses along the way but should be safer

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Thanks Chankl78 for posting these latest Dragonpips versions
I have found the setting to disable the time protection in the code in the versions you have posted today
Please download and enjoy!! you will find it backtests more profitable having the time protection off, but again I would only trade EURCHF and maybe EURGBP if your spreads are low enough, all other pairs are too volatile in the long term

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Update - I have found in the code where it places the timed stop loss based on the open trade duration and am testing some settings now
When I have something that backtests well I will post

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Here are my last two weeks live trading with Dragonpips
GoMarkets broker, trading 21-24 max trades 2 risk 50%, using V3 universal, only EURCHF pair
http://www.4shared.com/file/133966388/3599eefa/Dragonpips.html
I have been trading DP for over 12 weeks now, taken my live account from $487 to $5300
Can't post full statement as I have been using other EA's and manually trading but 80% of this profit has come from Dragonpips
The biggest reason I have found to my success with Dragonpips is only using EURCHF and manually trying to overcome the timed stop loss protection in DP. Let me explain
For example, after a few hours DP will exit the trade if it gets to around -1 or -2 pips. Every time I have seen this I have noticed not long after the trade would have hit its original TP (5-6 pips). Remember I am only using EURCHF as this is a very rangey pair
So what I need to do is wait about an hour or two and if the trade is still open, I deactivate Dragonpips to stop this happening and let it hit TP or I close it manually when it hits 3-6 pips in profit
If someone can code V3 universal or any other updated version to either allow the user to disable the timed order protection or set the timed stop loss to hit 0 pips (breakeven) not -1 or -2 pips this would really help this EA to be even more profitable
Due to Dragonpips using large lot sizes losing 1 or 2 pips vs breakeven can really make the difference

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Dragonpips must have some kind of timer where it closes the trade after a certain period of time usually at -1 pip
I have found that almost everytime the trade eventually goes the right way
Can anyone find in the V3 universal code somewhere that we can adjust the open order trade time before it looks to get the trade out at the -1 pip setting?
Dont want to disable it altogether as I see why its there as the later the day goes on the more risky the pair gets to moving and spiking but if we can adjust it? I would like it to extend by approx another hour or two

Re: DRAGONPIPS
I didnt test Extreme, as I am using live account and didnt want to waste a day of not trading
Figured a few people here would test so was waiting for confirmation before placing this on my live account
Lucky I did wait and only use V3 as this has done well for me today and V4 didnt trade for any ECN broker form what I have been hearing
I'm sure Mecman2 will fix V4 as he did a great job with V3 and then when it is confirmed to be making trades I will move to V4
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Like me Chankl78, we want those two EURCHF trades to go north!!!
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Must be Gomarkets then why I only got two trades
Good to know!!
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Chankl78 are you using max trades 2 or 5 for DP?
I am using max trades 2 with V3 and only got two trades (traded 21-24 with my broker who is GMT +2) closed at profit and one still floating
This was with GoMarkets though. You seem to have a lot more trades than me
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Thanks corrupt05, interesting....
Problem is I cant even get V4 to trade on mt GoMarkets or JadeFX broker, only V3 universal
There must be something inside these later versions that are causing them not to trade ECN/STP brokers
I believe Mecman2 modded the V3 to work so hoping he will come back and do his magic (or anyone else) with this version 4 or Extreme
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Chankl78, Did you get Extreme to trade at all on JadeFX today?
-
Re: DRAGONPIPS
Can someone please get the extreme edition to work on ECN/STP brokers??

Re: Megadroid Pro
Does anyone have James Mod B for megadroid that can be used with any of the cracked versions? currently you can download this from him but it needs an original MD with serial key to work
Alot of people are using this with great success on just the EURUSD pair

Re: DRAGONPIPS
Wow!! max trades allowed in each bar is fantastic!!!
Would that mean that if a spike has occurred and it closed in profit or loss it wont open an opposing order immediately until the next 15 minute candle?
