  1. Re: (REQ) B@llentine Bre@kout EA

No, my mod did not work, only GBPJPY and GBPUSD traded today

GBPJPY still has an opem buy order currently at +1 pip and GBPUSD closed at -8 pips

Is this normal? I thought Ballantine closed at either 20-25 pips or -120 pips

Can anyone else have a crack and getting this version to trade the other pairs? not sure how long it will be for someone to share the new version

    Hi Saendee

I am using the version you posted and seems to work really well when you restart MT4 as you suggested

I am trying to get this to work on other pairs so I modified the MQ4 to use AUDJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY (until new version comes out) seems to look fine on the charts but no pending orders just yet even though I do have GBPJPY in a buy currently.

I will let everyone know in the next few hours if these other pairs fire up and if so will post the EA's for these pairs.

I did modify the GBPJPY EA so I would think the others would have had pending orders by now and they havent so I am thinking what I did has no worked but will report back in a few hours

I will update everyone either way when they get back to me or dont but please do not spend any money subscribing until I can vouch they are genuine and not scamming peoples money

Before Hyper was released, they always got back to me and were most helpful so something doesnt seem right.

  4. Re: DRAGONPIPS

Search Dragonpips (full version, freem open source etc) google and it doesnt take you long to find this forum

Dragonpips and forum both indonesian, maybe they can track us somehow

Either way, to get no response is a little fishy, search Caspian forum. Similar EA both are supposedly copied from Free EA's anyway

  5. Re: DRAGONPIPS

    Hi all,

Well I am a Dragonpips member, have been for almost four weeks now even though I have no intention to share Hyper version only because Dragonpips watch this forum and will ban my membership if they find I have shared any of their versions and I do understand and appreciate that. The purpose of this e-mail is to warn anyone thinking of subscribing to them. I have e-mailed them constantly for around two weeks now for the Hyper version and the only e-mail back from them was over a week ago saying I would get this in 24 hours. I have given them the benefit by waiting and reminding them over e-mail many times with no response at all. Before this they usually get back to my e-mails within 24 hours so I am getting very suspicious that there even is a Hyper so this is just to caution people thinking of paying $550 to join Dragonpips

Until I get a response from them or recieve Hyper I would not recommend anyone subscribing to Dragonpips. Something isnt right over there at the moment

I will confirm in this topic when they get back to me to see if they honour their word and give me Hyper Version.

    Steve

    Hi Chankl78,

I agree with you on EURCHF, currently this pair is becoming too volatile during Asian session for scalper like this

I am likin the results you are getting with the other pairs

Can you just repost your most update setting please? might try these again next week, got hurt about three weeks ago from DP and havent used it since so its good to see people getting good results with this EA again

I'm trying to look back over the last several months when we have had losing trades to see what we could have done to prevent some of these losses

Looking for patterns, is it a certain day of the week? can we use this to better hone in on the trading times used, look at options like if the pair has moved more than 50 pips in the previous 10 bars nefore 19 GMT then disable trading for the day etc etc

Should there be some kind of volatility filter used to prevent sudden spikes?

I'll update my findings - If I see anything of course, could all just be random

For last week yes 18-22 trading window would have been better, but you need to look at forex profitability over the long term. Hindsight is a wonderful and frustrating thing!!

I am backtesting currently with a fixed spread of 4.5 (quite high) and if you backtest from April to now with 18-22 vs 18-23 (riskier yes) you make more profit and suffer less drawdown overall with the wider 18-23 window

I trade high risk 50% and disable time protection levels but others may prefer to be safer and reduce the risk settings to around 25% and enable time protection levels.

Next week the market may change again and start to trend strongly during these hours and DP will lose for everyone regardless of the settings we use.

I also run the same, max trades 2 50% risk, EURCHF only and trade 19-23 GMT

Last week was not good with some of those 30+ pip spikes, but like Chankl78, need to look overall for a month or more to see if DP remains profitable

Only difference for me is I do use tp=6 sl=32

Very interested to see the results from closing all trades at a certain hour as I do get nervous when I see the backtesting results from Jan-March this year, DP is terrible!!! and this could still happen at anytime.
