Has anyone a setting that works reliably? I'm trying the different settings in bt using tickdata (post #1), both lead to margin call in January 2010, even with $100k and 0.1/0.2 lots starting. It goes up to 51.2 Lot (wow :-)

I cannot tell about good setups because actually I don't use it, as I am on other stuffs.

But, what I can say is, if you are interested in this strategy (grid trading), you have to read the thread from beginning.

Don't want to seem rude, but it is not an EA with a set and forget mindset. You will blow your account if you do so.

With good MM and using the rules given by Fx4-ever, you can make $$$.

First of all, thanks for the great EA. I have just tried it live. 1st day return is ~3% of my capital (300).

I have a request/help; can anyone help to program the EA such that after 5 consecutive losses (0.02,0.04,0.08,0.16,0.32), the EA will automatically cut loss? The reason being my MM to allow me to cut loss 5% of the balance then I will call it a day. Will trade again the following day.

you can try to put this EA on another chart and it will close all positions when it hits loss equity defined.(in $)

anyone who is hating the system, have a think. many of the good systems are simple. stoch;s macd, ma's. this is all thats req to make a good SIMPLE system. too many new systems are made up of way too many indis to make us believe a guru has made it and its worth the $$.

another system im using "bootcamp" uses mostly ma's and works well. this is simplier but may* even be better..

the author states to trade after a retracement, trade with the trend, had a defined exit and enrty, dont trade the asian.. "keep it simple stupid" all good trading principles.

all systems are worth looking to until; found to be unprofitable

can someone make an ea for this system? its very simple and almost done with the trade assistant already, (trade hours etc)

just to back test over the last while to see profitablity??

I agree with you when you say the simpler the better, and if you look around here on II, there have been lots of KISS systems shared by great and generous members, wether adapted or created by themselves.

Also, different strategies have been shared.

But all of them were given, free of charge, for nothing, not a dime, nada, gratis, for the beauty etc..with 'life time' explanations...

Some people trade without any indicators with clean charts and use Price Action to make their decision.

All of that to say there are many ways to trade, with simple setups, and they are freely available.

Waiting for a retracement and going in the direction of the trend in upper level of TimeFrame is not new, it is the B-A BA of trading.

The problem for all people, is not the system, it is them. You can give two persons the same simple system and they will show you different outcome, and beside psychology the main garanty for success is the understanding of proper MM.

In conclusion, yes we are a few here on II to laugh at these kind of system, it's not that we don't like them, it is because they are overhyped marketed and sold wether for $99 or for $2000. and it's a shame!

Perhaps it's because you still have the "non educated" inside your indi folder, just delete it, put the "new" one inside, restart, and it should be ok.

So it is all common indicators-- no special idicators are used?

I can't believe the creator of this joke actually had the nerve to sell it. Anyone who bought it should ask for a refund. There are hundreds of MA cross trading systems out there but this one is a disaster! There are many great traders in this forum who can recommend a much better MA cross system for free.

In each folder (standard & advanced), you will find backtests.

But since you are not new in this research (robots), you are aware that it is extremely rare that a vendor provides compelling evidence.

When they show forward tests on their site, vendors often choose from among several tests (usually the one looking better). And most often then not, forward test is completely false and fabricated.

Like you said, trading real money is a very serious thing, so why would you believe what a vendor shows you instead of testing it yourself?

And when a member (here, Pheniox) is kind enough to offer the opportunity to test yourself, just do it!

And if you find good settings, share them with us all.

And I agree with you, when you find something good, you have to buy to the creator. But it is very rare, so, II, and its members are essential.

Although I do not really like the EAs, I'll take a look at them. (but a priori, I doubt a little about it because (SL = 225) and (PT = 5)!

The only one who currently holds my attention is TurboMorningtrade, but tests are not finished.
