1. How do you display it on the platform. Have placed it in the indicators folder, then on the chart, nothing appears.

Nothing special, just drag it on your chart, also perhaps you have to show all your pairs in market watch, otherwise it won't calculate strength for pair not active. Also make your chart black, contrast will be sharper.

  2. The spacing is required.. depends on few things.

    ...................................

personally I trade only Eur/usd... because of the spread Issue. and moderate volatity. and I prefer 20-20 spacing. I tried 10-10 spacing but it get very hectic doing this manually... If someone could compile an script or EA.. for this.. It might have been a great thing.

    ...........................

    Thank you Manu,

    Very logical (regarding spacing)

I don't know what are the softs Freddie found for this strategy, but here is one grid EA I found on the web.

Perhaps you can have a look and see if you can tweak parameters to meet your needs.

Hope you can find a good setup. Let us know!

  3. I am not TMT specialist, as I only trade FMT manually, but I think I can explain.

GBPUSD was very flat for the entire Asian session, so the Momentum and CCI indicators were very close to their respective long-or-short change-over levels by 6 o'clock London time.

I was watching it live as it happened. For the half hour before 6:30 London time, the signals were jumping back and forth between long, no-trade, and short. In fact, for Bill's TMT trade trigger time of 6:15 London time, it was still a no-trade signal literally only minutes before, but then both indicators just barely pushed above their mid-lines by the end of the candle right before 6:15 London time, so the EA registered a Long trade.

If you were watching the chart at that time, you would notice both indicators almost "immediately" went back below to the short side within seconds right after.

So today is one of those rare days where the signal changed from long to short within a very short time-span. By the time 6:30 London time comes, it was now a short signal.

I myself did not take this trade today, because of the jumping back-and-forth of signal I just mentioned. Although if I had, I would have had a winner.

    Edit:

Forgot to mention, another difference between FMT and TMT, is that the basic FMT uses only 6:30 London time for entry, whereas TMT can have the option of entering at different entry times as directed by the trader. In this case, Bill's TMT looks for trade at more than just one set time. And today, his TMT took a valid trade at 6:15, which has a different direction from FMT signal by 6:30.

    Thanks a lot Joe,

Effectively I only looked at charts later (not live as you did), see pic and it was a Short at 07:15.

I am glad you watched that live, it is clear now and we can conclude it is very sensitive!

Do you think a coder could add a buffer (extern parameter) when this happens so that would lead to a no trade in this case, or wait for the next bar if signal is confirmed (today short at 07:30)?

  4. Thank you Manu,

your strategy is very interesting but at the moment gives me a headache! Very painful!

I will need more than two days to digest it all. (you are smarter Freddie!)

just one question for now: How to determine the spacing (in your example: 25pips), are you using ATR or ADR, or just round numbers, or it does not matter?

And the TP is still double spacing, isn't it?

    freddy

P.S. And do not worry Manu, we do not hate you (at least not yet ;) )

  5. folks, it looks like I'm still unable to open file even tho I've used Winzip de-compression, anybody has the same experiences?

do we need to download all the files first then de-compress...any kind of help will be much appreciated.

Yes, download all files first on your computer in one folder, then look at the files and usually take the one with no number (eg: here in this list:Forex.zip)

and just unzip this file and all should be ok.

It does not matter if you use winzip or 7zip to decompress files.

The only difference is one is free.

  6. To temper an enthusiasm! :-?

We hope to get a preliminary review of this out in the next week or two after having our first winning trade this year, we will then update the review as per our actual results in our Live Trading room - here.

In the interim we just wanted to put the performance statistics for this system into perspective:

    - The return over the last 16 months (there were no trades in December 2010) is reported as £23,100, thats an average of £1443.75 per month.

    - This return is based on trading £5 a PIP which is a risk per trade of 280 PIPs (the stop for 2 lots of 140 each), this equates to a risk per trade of £1,400.

    - Based on the advised 2% risk per trade that's would mean an account size of £70,000 is required to make these returns (2% a month/24% a year).

The main point here is do not ever simply look at the money you can make but put it into perspective in relation to the risk you are placing on each trade.

In the mean time we will progress our main review.

    Found that here:

  7. thanks for the mod.

a simple google search will provide you with forums discussing the indicator. I think the link to this other forum is frowned upon around here, not sure. So I wont post it.

Google forex goiler - 5th one down

look at post #178 for example that clearly defines the rules

Everyday at 0:00, it will open two orders

    1. first order with entryPriceOne, SL and ProfitTargetOne

    2. Second order with entry PriceTwo, SL and ProfitTargetTwo

    3. cancel any pending orders

    4. delete open orders if the new signal shows opposite trade direction

this is what I have been functioning off of. I am not saying your interpetation doesnt hold merit as it may be a fantastic way to trade the indicator I just havent looked at it that way yet.

Hi, I just discovered this thread about Goiler.

I did not install it yet, but I am always curious and read a lot.

On that forum you were pointing, I stumbled on that post #93

and thought some of you who already use that could investigate and tell us what they think about that strategy. (it sounds promising, but is it constant?)

  8. Hi phreak,

    thanks for reminding that strategy.

(in fact it was already shared few years ago.)

    http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/876-Sure-Fire-Hedging-Strategy-EASY-Trading-Method-etc.

    Have you tried it?

Just read it in a flash, and it looks to me a martingale strategy, so quite risky (if you are caught in range, margin will kill your account.)

Those who are testing, please report your feedback.

P.S. it was invented by a French guy.

French people may have good ideas, but you don't have to follow them blindly....:D

(don't worry, I am French! and I don't follow always my own ideas either :P)

  9. Yes, it is Fibocalc and it was even there since 2006 here:

    http://codebase.mql4.com/505

Mr ShitMann is well known for selling stuff that can be found everywhere on the web for free.

This guy is a crook and it's not the first time we are saying this here on I.I.

I thought it was understood, but hey, no, each week/month this scammer KD releases a "new" product, people fall in the trap and hope for the new "Miracle". [-O<

Perhaps I.I. should make a sticky thread for Scammers, which should prevent newcommers to buy those repackage stuffs. Oh!well, I mumble again! :P

  10. Wow I am flattered by your support guys !!! ;-)

Concerning the ray feature, my first version was drawing the trendline with the ray, but as I add the history option there were a lot of trendline on the current day... (All the previous day ray appearing on then screen.) What I am doing is I select manually the ray option on the current day.

@ fxshare: concerning your issue as I said I am not a pro in mql... I would say I am a beginer... I really don't know how to fix this problem. I can modify a little bite the code but after ?????

If somebody know how to solve this problem, I add the mq4 version in this link:

Now that we have everything let's share our trade about this strat ;-)

For me today, no clear trade.

    Regards,

    Hi Gringoh,

I am not a coder either, but I took your code and add some code I found to make it thicker from time H1 to time H2 and then a ray, like in MKS.

    Hope you'll like it.

    http://www.multiupload.com/AWAHRDDLE6
EDIT: LOL, "my" code works only for your time set up, if I change time, the dot line won't follow! ?? So if a real coder could have a look at it and also add suggestion from Fxshare post#153) thanks!
