Stop Loss Hunting

Allegations that brokers deliberately shift prices to trigger clients' stop losses. Have you ever experienced this? If so, please name the broker. Thank You

Not exactly, but worse, I had a profitable account with FXCC, who after great profits shifted my account to the West Indies Offshore to clear me out - which they almost did before I realised it was happening.

So much for a regulated broker!

Some new traders lose money and then blame their brokers for spiking their stop losses which maybe true or might not because when we don't know what we are doing in the markets how can we blame anyone of our losses.

So, there really are cases like that, and with various methods? I have been using Headway Broker and I feel comfortable because that has not happened. I am saddened to hear about your bitter experience.

Yes, some people are like that. I think it's all because they feel frustrated at having made the wrong market decisions, but I hear about this a lot in forums or groups that discuss this issue. I feel sorry for them and would immediately avoid such brokers.

We need to spend some time getting familiar with the markets by using a demo account before jumping to live trading.
