Here is a guide for Emule. Is in Italian, but you can selected "Opzioni" (Options) and watch the pictures for settings. The last version is 0.70b.

If all settings are ok, is possible that your provider don't allows the connection with Emule.

Here in Italy there are some providers that don't allows the connection with Emule or utorrent.

Here is my take on the Astro/Gann stuff. May be they were working before the invent of the HFT/Algo trading periods. Human minds worked the same way but at different levels, so there was a chance things followed some rules. But with HFT and others, they exploited the inefficiencies of the market structure and suddenly we cant find their old edge. 

Best example: the Jane Street operations on the Indian options market and gaining INR 36,000 crore per year. You see they manipulated the market so much so that none of the Indian guys good sense what's going on. By the time they were noticed it was 3 years late and these guys made good money.

I may be wrong also but I think the Astro/Gann stuff isn't working anymore.
