after these lost around I think I lower risk fom 10% to 5% (just increased risk yesterday)

i limited my EURUSD loss to 21 pips. i saw that the EURUSD was showing breaking out behavior to the downside when the fundamentals are bearish. i pulled the plug on the trade. this time it worked out.

yeah, i did the same, at a slight profit not long after it opened. i thought buying the euro was a bit of a risk this morning in a big downtrend. dodged a bullet there.

Hi

look to this Open Trades from Primeval-EA @-) . I mean Kain hit a loss ok but Eval can Kill your account with 2-3 Trades.

no i did not change that. i manually closed the trade.

 

has anyone run backtests with a smaller SL? 75 is big compared to the TP. EAs with big SL are saying that if the signal is wrong, then let's just hope that it retraces.

I have no ulterior motive other than to show current DEMO performance. I was happy with version for 1.03 as it was a slow consistent winner. In fact, I was about to put it on my live account and I still have it running and can give you a link to it if you are interested. It did take a big hit just like 1.04. As far as drawing any conclusions, all I can say is that I need more testing to see if it is something that I can live with.

 

Not many people here share their tests so I thought I would make all of mine public. If this forum is just for sharing code and not results maybe someone could say so and I won't wast anyone's time.

today is another losing day, the EA didnt close the losing trade for usd/chf until i manually close it(fxopen and jadefx). i think the kain EA was able to handle only winning trades but hold the losing trades if the losses are big.

As I understand it from reading an earlier post, Version 1.04 was to correct some transaction handling issues in Version 1.03. I don't remember specifically what the problem was but I don't believe it was any change in the logic that initiated trades. I think the posts are here a few pages back.

 

I didn't post any comments with the links mainly because I don't have any comments. I, like all, just want to see how it trades before I risk my live account and seeing a graph really sums it all up. I can say that the large stop loss really devastates the returns. FYI, version 1.03 and 1.04 are running at the default risk setting of 20.

Looks like a freezing issue was fixed.

I think thats just some promo email, when metatrader freezes you just suck no matter what expert advisor you use, if the expert should close the trades not a stoploss.

Does anyone trades with eakain on ecn account, like activetrades interbank ?

I'm thinking that instead of waste time and become crazy with slippage, requote problem on standard broker account making continous problems to scalpers ea like eakain, I will close alpari account and I will open an activetrades interbank account with only eakain on it and theoretically there will be no more problems and start to make real profits? that's all, right ?

 

if you see myfxbook interbank activetrades real account of the developer is: 60% gain normal mode, 126% aggressive mode.

 

I can be sure of this by reference developer account performances on ecn account ? so simple ? :-?
