revvin58 Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator Be careful with probability meter. Synchronicity is not probability. Probability has two states, before and after. It's nonsense to talk probability without proper quant study of causal historical data.
abedin Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator Nurrey Math indicator? Do you have that indicator red_dates?
chetachukwu Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator Yes on the last unclosed candle it repaints if the price leaves behind the last closed candle's high or low. Therefore you should wait for the close of the last candle to see whether the reversal established or not. I follow the signal only at the upper or lower bollinger band. Regerds, HunFxTrader HunFxTrader, Thank you very much for such a useful indicator. Cycle Identifier repaints very very bad. many bars can be repainted as many times as posible repaints all the time, so you cant rely on this indicator. you need a powerfull indicator to backup. .....SELFISHNESS IS A DISEASE.....
ch0c0b4d Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator Best Indicator for me : 1. PA 2. MadroGoldenFilter 3. QQEA

The Cycle Identifier actually repaints as I have noticed today. But it is good if we have it on a daily time frame. It can complement with Murrey math indicator for confirmation on trend reversal. For those who are interested in Murrey math, watch the 2/8, 4/8 and 6/8 level because they tend to give good reversal signal.
Enforcer Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator RSI and Moving average.... the most used and the most simple ! simple the best Totaly agree :shand:
wareswaldo Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 Re: best indicator I keep these two indicators on my charts at all times: 1. # TLB OC v2 for dynamic horizontal S/R 2. SlidingChannels for dynamic diagonal channels Those two indicators allow me to scalp trade at major support and resistance points. Overlay those on the BlackDog Systems mini trend finder v2 template and you have a powerful chart for scalping some pips. I also like to keep a version of the Tom Demark Sequential on the chart (especially when using the M15 and H1 charts) as a reading of 9 usually indicators a reversal at the nearest support/resistance levels. Cheers!

filotto Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Re: best indicator Try the following in all time frames. 1. Bollinger Band 20,2 2. Bollinger Band 10, 1.5 3. Trix (4,4) 4. MACD (12,26,9) 5. RSI(10) Wait for both bollinger bands to pinch(Double pinch). Look for Trix and MACD to cross zero line, and confirm with RSI(10) crossing the 50 line. When you see all these conditions met enter the trade either long or short. this is very very interesting
filotto Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Re: best indicator cci(14) above 100 bull and -100 bear on weekly chart and any simple moving avg on day setup for buy selll regards parad this could be interesting only for reverse and short timing positiond
filotto Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Re: best indicator RSI(21)>50 up RSI(21)<50 down e.g 4h chart RSI(21)<50. Wait at 1h chart RSI(21)>50 and then <50 to go short same of the CCI...only for short time reverse positions

jjthetrader Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 Re: best indicator Hi Is enyone looking at volume trading forex? regards Alias I'm using VSA with the tick volume. Unfortunatly with forex it depends on your broker/datafeed what volume you actually get. I find esignals FX data pretty good.

ross123 Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 Re: best indicator another way to determine trend is to set up 120 EMA and 50 Ema on 4H chart. Price below 50 EMA indicate a signal of change in a UP trend market and if falls below 120 EMA is confirmation for the trend change and the opposite for an up trend move.
