What I understand is that the CCFP indicator we shall use to check the much longer trend as well. Cluster calculated the total relation between the pairs. So the USD is getting stronger, but EURUSD still not drop yet, we could entry too earlier, like I did on sell on GBPJPY and EURUSD. In this case, believe in your longer term "Sell position" let it open, and hedge with buy position if the short term trade go against you. or double your buy if the short term trade against your long term position. Roels Major, Glad that you've got into the system so fast.Can you share your experience? Thanks. Since the CC signal mostly shall be used on H4 or above, so you can trade this system with anybroker's spread. you can take signal from MT4 and trade on your platform, like I did in dukascopy demo. I have paid for the elit trade for last 6 month, does not found it is really worth it, and stopped pay for it just from last month. You and me are just as same good or even better than any people who claimed them are "the elite traders ". Besides, I have Sergius on my skypy, and my own brain. We can beat these "elite traders". The trouble here is to detect what is the market condition? trending or consolidate (congesting in another word). Enligt my trading technique that I have learnt from Joe Ross: if the close of the bar is in side the length of last long bar, then it is consolidating phase. See the price bar on your chart, the last 3 or 4 bars close is inside the longest bar before there. Specially today, when USA market is closed, then the cluster indicator is very much oscillated around zero line, in balance. In this case, I would just fire a hedge order, a buy and sell on eurusd at the same price, and put take profits for 10 or 20 pips for both order, and leave them there. http://goodies.mt4live.com/, see you order 266367 and order ticket 266368? I fired a hedge order (buy and sell on EURUSD) and put 20 pips for both order, and go to my normal work afterwards, let the order developed themselve. The assumption being made is that there are well-behaved cycles in the market that can be detected and, more importantly. extrapolated by this kind of technology. It has been said that the markets evidence cyclic activity up to 70% of the time. Even if clear cycles that lead to successful trades only occur some smaller percentage of the time, because of the nature of the model, the losses can be kept small on the failed trades by the use of tight stops. The main disadvantage of a cycle-based entry is that the market may have become efftcient relative to such trading methodologies, thanks to the proliferation of fairly powerful cycle analysis techniques, e.g., maximum entropy. The trading away of well-behaved cycles may hamper all cycle detection approaches. Since cycle entries of the kind just discussed are countertrend in nature, if the cycles show no follow-through, but the trends do, the trader can get wiped out unless good money management practices (tight stops) are employed. I am following this thread from beginning. I was thinking on the GBPUSD reasons. If we look at the pictures under, we see ,that during the last three days there were a major down trend, probably becuase of the big sell off from the 61.8% Fibo level. Volatility is very high, so we have to work with higher stoploss these days. On the 4H chart we see the same downtrend sell-off from 50% Fibo level (right to the pip) on a bearish day. Maybe we should consider the next higher timeframe CC as well. Weekly charts are also similarly bearish. Good! the more people discuss the trading method here, the more we can learn from each other. Everybody is welcoming to write in this "our" thread. My conslution text is on my picture. GBPUSD Weekly (now 2009-07-04) trend: the CCFP indicator is for longer period of cluster indicator, and the cc and others are the same.I made other pair colour to white to be hided. It is a sell signal on the GBPUSD weekly right now, if I go short, I would be very careful and only short to end of wave 4. The risk is my short entry will get caught by wave 5 that is coming. so I want to wait for a very clear negative divergence between the GBPUSD price and the inidicator and then go full short! There are pretty much of sign when a primary trend is turned or turning. Be selective on your trading, get the clear signal is the most good thing. GBPUSD H4 chart, it is consolidating between range 1.62095 to 1.66169. Because on the weekly chart, I am expecting a wave nr 4 down, so I will just sell on the resistance at 1.66169. If I really really can not find any other good pair to trade, and must trade on the GBPUSD H4 right now on both side of range trading, (wow), then I must be prepared to reverse my position to short if I go long from 1.62095 and the price is break down. If you do not like to do the range trading on H4, then you have to go down to the M5 to do the trend following trade. http://www.formulatrader.com/download/bild/gbpusdw1.gif Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
