This EA has been having a horror run so far. It seems that recently the USD has been whipsawing during the trading hours, dragging every related pair along with it into losses.

 

I am sticking with the EURCHF and EURGBP pairs from now on.

To xxl205: Can you please share the special settings of the other EAs that is running simultaneously with shocker like genius EA, FAPTurbo, XTREME EURCHF, ... etc. Thanks.

 

Well, nothing THAT special at all indeed :)

 

1. Use EURCHF only, no other pairs.

2. Timeframe 21-01h GMT+1 german time, either extend or shorten the standard settings.

3. MaxSpread allowed must be set to 5 on my side, cause night spread goes above the 3 standard setting.

4. on FAPTurbo 4.4 we use 5/30 SL/TP instead 5/53 to shorten risk a bit.

 

Thats it. As you see, nothing real special at all, please do not be disappointed :) Timeframe and pair is the most important factor.

If only it was possible to manually set the stop loss of forex shocker.

I can't believe that the stop loss is as huge as it is. One failure wipes out more than a huge percentage of risked equity.

 

So far my losses will take about a month to recover.... :((

Running fine here with only EURCHF ... even this horrible night gave me a plus 3%.

Forex Shocker v1.1 with NoTradeOnFridays -option:

The default setting for "NoTradeOnFridays" is TRUE. You can find it in the Platform Hours section.

On backtest there are a few Friday "moves", but those are just closing of trades, no new trade is opened if this option is enabled.

 

BTW the EA is handling Friday trades itself, too. Like it does not open trades after 14h etc.

I've had some trouble with trade context, I'm going to try the new one.

I don't seem to get them on demo much only on live.

My trades seem to stay open longer on live, they don't close as quickly.

I still have 2 trades open, 6 hours after trading time.

So far I'm down about 20% on my live and up 60% on my demo.

First losing trade on Eur/Chf for this week. Seems that sale opened today hit the stop lose. Even though profits line is good.

 

Share your trading experience, for this week please :)

thy2k5, I don't run this robot, I have no experiences with it. In backtest I didn't notice any significant changes with or without allowing Friday trades. Maybe in live it counts. I don't know.

I saw the Friday 14h and 19h things in the code, I did not try them out.

I guess the main reason is because tadawulfx has fixed spreads for all day, all market condition.

For most other brokers, EURGBP and EURCHF have higher spreads during the scalper targeted hours.

The problem with this EA is that recently the stop loss is about 6 times bigger than the take profit, and occasionally those stoplosses get hit and it hurts.

hrdforex - What hours are you live trading Shocker EURCHF at Tadawul?

 

Can you confirm? I am also going to run live at Tadawul.

Does anyone have any idea what this problem is?

It is on all the charts I have open.

You get this even after re-booting computer.. Sounds like 2 options.. 1. hard drive going bad.. 2. Virus/Trojan deleted .dll..

 

I cant remember if it was shok3r or not but one of the EA .rar packages had a malware .dll included in it..
