8.1.1.1 is riddled with problems in my experience even from a new OS build. Crashes often and does not calculate the cross currencies which means the key feature of the RiskReward calculation function does not work on any of the cross currencies and only works when your input currency is USD and the traded pair base is xxxUSD.
If it's xxxJPY or xxxCAD then it malfunctions with an error in the log and does not paint the R/R info on the chart.

Has anyone else noticed with 8.1.1.1 that the cross currencies function that works with the Risk reward function, does not seem to work.
For example if your account currency is CHF or GBP and you pull up a EURJPY chart then when ou right click on a bar for analysis, then it only comes up with the wave form, not the R/R calculation. Also the manual R/R does not work on this chart.
However if your account currency is say $20000 USD and you pull up a USDJPY chart then the R/R function works.
Is this a bug in this build?
Have you had this problem?
Am I doing something wrong?

Ocean Theory - as of this point in time Ocean Theory is mankind's next mystery.
As unlike the RSI, ADX which are very much in almost every trading package etc Ocean Theory has disappeared completely from the fossil record, at least in its complete and final form.
Even at full price (circa 2011) nobody can get hold of it. I am sure there is some old guy out there that is still using it or a closed group of people.
We are talking about Windows 7 era, not a lost movie reel of Buster Keaton from the 1920's what the hell happened to it??
Could it be that when all things are considered (money management etc) that the Ocean Theory master indicators produce exceptional results?

Good observation. The cycles are there in market. There are 6 octaves simultaneously operating with different length. One need to separate them and find consistent repeat pattern

This was a crucial feature of the board because, occasionally someone will post to an old thread that users may not be subscribed to but is of interest or that they feel they can help or comment on.
Has this feature been renamed to something else?
ok I fixed this myself as the filter defaulted back to one day only not all time.
But I did notice that my own post (as of this time) did not appear in the feed itself. I will check again in a few minutes
How do I lock the filters so that it defaults to show all each time I login?

First problem of getting my retina's burnt out has been solved by wearing a pair of sunglasses.
Now where is the thingy that is usually in the top left hand corner of the home page that shows me the posts in order of arrival, where if I have been away for 3-4 days I can scroll through all the posts in order of posting to catch up?
I see the "Latest Activity" tag but, when I click on it I can just see 3-4 posts rather than a continuation of posts as was before?

Another limitation to the message system that would have made sense 20 years ago but does not make much sense now is only being able to have a few hundred messages in your sent messages and inbox.
Just one single JPG posted in a thread might be the entire size of someones email box thesedays. Cost of data storage has come down a lot. While it varies from business model to business model I would have thought the cost of bandwidth for this website would vastly outstrip storage costs.
Its a real pain that when you send people messages you find out their main box is clogged up because of the tiny limit of a few hundred sent and received, which dont go far if you been on here a few years.
Gmail gives you 10Gb storage as standard. Is it reasonable to suggest just 50Mb storage on this site? 50mb of plain text messages goes a long way.

I use MTP8 Standalone for Stocks , Very Good working for me. I started to make profit.
Mtp8 in forex very bad .
What timeframes did you get bad results in for forex? Quote in pairs please as with mtp you usually have an upper DP timeframe governing the faster timeframe you are actually trading.
Did you trade forex for sometime in this manner giving it a good shot i am curious.

Why do people use zippyshare? I push on all the "Download" buttons, but all I get are advertisement.
Hi Bill I find zippyshare works well with add blocker. Then you dont get those deceptive commercials that look like download links. It's a really fast download as well, but my favorite has to be anonfiles.com. No commercials even without addblock

friend, can you give a little background? Do you have a link to the website containing 230 questions as "Trading Questions Answered" search yeilds a lot of results.
If you could, can you tell us what makes you think it's worth paying for there are plenty of books and sites available for free where you can get questions or FAQ style lists of questions about trading.

I'm having a few technical problems with posts: (1) Text is compressed to the left side of the post, i.e., the right-side margin is very wide. (2) If you try to edit a post, all the text disappears in the edit box. You'd have to go back a page, copy your original post text, then paste and edit it to submit it.
P.S. - The aforementioned text compression did not occur in this subforum - weird.
I noticed symptoms 1 and 2 also, this was before the platform move so I don't think it is related to that in any event.
For me it seems to randomly happen when I edit a post, then goes away as quick as it appeared, which is frustrating to find the cause.

That comment by betrader was some 8 years ago but this is a good thread and worth exploring.
Probably the best way of doing this is with the MTPredictor version for NT 7/8 rather than the standalone.
Then use the alert system within MTPredictor to provide the information to trade.
This is the point where I am not sure which is the best way to proceed. Perhaps you can pipe the signal to a script within NT 7/8 then use an unrelated procedure to place the trade order. But it may be too much work to go via the MTPredictor built in trading module that is not designed for full auto.
Some of the NT guys on the forum are better placed to answer this but I am confident it can be done.

I tried a couple of these including Ruffle (application and chrome plugin) and Lightspark
The chrome extension just keep trying to download a file already downloaded and Lightspark did not work

I did not do it on a clean build, which maybe why I was having problems.
Someone else might have better luck with the methods above.
