As Beast said. Position sizing.

Take the worst system out of all the ones you purchased and religiously apply sound position sizing techniques as an overlay to your existing bad system. You should see either it making money (all be it very slowly) or it will lose money much more slowly than before.

Now you have the foundational structure in place and some confidence that you turned around what you thought was a pretty poor system.

You can then apply the same principles to a better system for much better results.

This book should get you started.

Van Tharp's Definitive Guide To Position Sizing (2008) or (2013) new edition I have not read yet.

If you can't find it I have posted a request for the new edition.

I have not heard of it. I just listened to one of their videos initially with an open mind but sorry I could not help laughing, her choice of words and tone sounded like a henchman from a James Bond movie.

I had the impression they were going to crack out a whip to drum the message into me.

Money management is the key. You can take a mediocre system and still make money from it with if you apply position sizing / money management techniques that were popularized in the trading world by Vap Tharp and Ralph Vince.

I read Van Tharp's Definative guide to position sizing (2008) years ago and havent looked back.

There is a 2013 updated version I have been looking around for, contains a few new chapters and a bunch more systems to overlay on top of your trading.

The way I look at the "not every day is a trading day" thing. Yes you can only trade if there is a trade you can identify. So indeed it may not be a trading day in any one market or timeframe

I just go and look at more markets or timeframes to look for a trade.

My old mentor was asked once what is his target (in a trade) he laughed and said as much as the market can give him. Thats about managing a trade exit and letting the trade close itself out rather than an arbitrary

exit, say 30 pips.

High Probability Trading Strategies by Robert Miner is another book teaches you about multiple timeframes and trade management.

MTPredictor has a bunch of training videos that come with it but I have never seen them even for the old releases of version 7.5

The software is regularly educated and released here so someone has access to the MTP forum.

My understanding is thatthere are hours and hours of training and regular weekly video sessions going back years. A wealth of information.

"up to 25 intraday requests per day" I had a brief look. If I am understanding correctly then on the free version 25 requests, that is not going to get you very far.

Also "up to 5 stocks per request"

Then again it says full currency API access so, maybe the limits on intraday are just for stocks.

If you can't find the matrix addon activated in the DT7 version you had then try installing DT6 where you will always find it.

You don't need a manual, it's so simple to use and the video series shows you every possible use anyway.

The screen shot are not from sharescope. Are these just the old dynamic trader videos or can you verify that the newer sharescope addon software are actually included?

The "Download Via Rapidgator" link is saying premium only.

The uploadgig.com links all give you the serious runaround with the Captcha asking endless questions then finally come up with some error message. I tried it from multiple systems and different browsers but same problem with over an hour of trying. These uploadgig.com punks are getting worse and worse, I would not advise anyone use their link. Why anyone would pay to use there services when the free link never works is beyond me.

pls reupload files for realtime data from MT4 to DT7

There is no direct real time data addon from MT4 to DT7.

DT can read ASCII data downloaded from MT4, then you can make DT poll that data every second, per chart.

(if you have 20 charts up all polling per second this can get a bit messy and slow things down)

A few charts at a time is OK.

What you need to search for is any MT4 addon that drops data to ASCII format to the disk, then you can setup DT to read that data as per timer setting.

I did a quick search around and I found this in another forum. I am sure there is a better solution though.

You could also just skip the whole thing as ask your broker if they have a widget that connects to their API so you can drop down real time data into ASCII format. Or find a broker who does.

Thank you for the post. The files date from 2011. If I remember correctly there was a major upgrade to MT4 a few years later rendering many 3rd party addons non functional to one degree or another. Just to check in advance before spending time with it, have you tested this with the latest broker builds of MT4 commonly available?

The Ocean Pro or Ocean Master indicators as they are known were already released by the end of November 2010, We know that by some of the video release dates. Jim Sloman passed away in 2015. Even before that period you would have had existing Ocean customers who would have got a chance to test or buy the ocean master indicators so we can safely say that the indicators were in customer hands a good 5 years before he died and the website was shut down.

Traders of Jim Sloman's pedigree don't usually have their operations shut down even after their death - That's why i find this case so interesting. Did it suit some people perfectly to just shut it all down...

Ok He was not W.D.Gann but, look at the canon of work Jim Sloman is responsible for. That puts him in the same league somewhere down the line depending on your opinion.

I tried to find Pat Raffalovich without luck. He would be about the same age maybe 5 years younger at a guess.

Sounds like a great post thank you. Many people will be grateful however, the problem is that it's one very large file on MEGA and that just does not work.

I will explain:

The problem with MEGA is that they often force download limits, even outside peak download times. So,what happens is that you start to dowload a large file then you get to about 82% download then it make you wait 5-6 hours before you continue the download. Then when it eventually starts up again you get some Encryption error. Its an absolute disaster.

You are much better off uploading say 6 x 500mb files instead of a massive 6GB file. This will ensure that the downloader will get 4 out of 6 files even if a download limit kicks in. Then they can wait 5 hours and download the other 2 if need be.

I have spent a day trying to download this file 3 times, even in the middle of the night and it always exceeds limit. It's too large.

Can you please break it up in to smaller bits for everyone. Thanks.
