Guys or gals. I am recovering from cancer surgery and subsequent treatments. I appreciate your concern but I have absolutely NO intentions of trading live until I'm 100% healthy! I have no idea, at this point, when that will be.

 

I only look at the charts when my health permits. I'd be an absolute fool to trade live in my current condition. Anyways, thanks for the wise advice.

I used Thinapp because portable built using Studio Portable, when brought from Windows XP to Windows 7, gave error.
If this one gives error at first run, then just wait some more seconds [or in case close and retry (two or three times)]
Then the problem should disappear from that moment on

Plus

tried on Win8 64 bit. At start up, after few seconds, it activates as Gold Version, When selected data source as Metastock, gives some error, ignoring that, it then works fully.=D>

Minus

Memory guzzler, it takes charge of full PC resource memory and completely slows down the system, and few application, due to inadequate RAM, stops responding. In background (See from Task Manager), it opens multiple chrome, and other few applications. I just deleted. Something fishy:-S

Had this not been the case, it would have been good.

Is anyone using third party End of Day Data for OptionsStation Analysis within Tradestation 9.1 ?

What is the way to import / make use of end of day options data inside TradeStation in its module OptionsTation analysis / OptionStation search ?

Any step by step guidance is welcome.

I learn that TS recognises Option symbol as

<Symbol><SPACE><YYMMDD><C><STRIKE>

<C> REPRESENTS CALL , AND COULD BE REPLACED WITH <P> TO REPRESENT PUT, but I am unable to bring in pop up window to import 3rd party data, which in any case, I am able to do for Stocks / Index

Can anyone please guide, how to create / make use of scanner in NT7 for list of symbols?

I made attempt to make use of Market Analyzer, then applied Indicator, but i am not able to see / select /activate columns with heading like 'Zero line cross over', 'DOBOS Reversal' , 'Trend Reversal' etc., as shown in picture given on page 16-17 of the user / guide help file.

Also, steps guide to activate file with extension cs , as i am not knowing how to compile it (from where to press F5, and ensure it is properly compiled) before using it.

Kindly guide.

If you have installed Metastock, downloader comes with it. Just press Ctrl+D inside metastock, and you can activate 'Downloader'.

alternatively, you can access ' downloader' from [Drive ]:\Program Files (x86)\Equis\The DownLoader\Dlwin.exe

Once active, you can select from Menu = Tools->Convert

and many options would come up to convert from ascii /csv to metastock etc.,

Trust, above solves your issues.

Unless you are genuine owner of the software, do not attempt for auto downloading of data for unwarranted situations ;)

yes, it allows to import ascii/metastock/excel/csv file format, just updating, am not using it.

Yes, you can use Metastock or ASCII format files.

Do you look Data Manager in File Tab ?

yes, could load (see the securities/symbols) inside data manager but it fails when loading the chart, metastock data file format.
