Not the same, PATTERNZ is for those pattern in the book of the author. I tried it but missed some seen on charts. The other (DLPAL) is some machine learning software that appears highly effective.

I spoke to a guy at a hedge fund the other day where they use the new DLPAL software to manage money. I was trying to get some tips from him. It seems this software offers more than one way to skin a cat. He told me how they use it for identifying long/short pairs from a list of 4000 international stocks. Five installations running 800 stocks each after market closings in US, Europe and Asia. You can start a hedge fund with this software. -

The APS v4.8.exe file includes very sophisticated spyware and keylogger that probably sends everything to the one that educated it. Very difficult to detect by normal AV. Do not use! This has been detected in the past also. Very dangerous! -

on the same line is another software called 'StrategyQuant pro' from http://www.strategyquant.com/ . Looks similar to PAL except that the trial is given for 14 days without any restriction. THe issue is its geared towards forex, but it can be configured for stocks also.
The reporting is also good. Running it right now. Again, this requires hrs for analysis and finding the best strategies. It also gives the code in either mq4 or plain text. Checking it now.
On a side note, i tried to run a strategy generated by GPF in Neuroshell Trader with the genetic optimization. But for a period of 10 years, only 8 trades are done and 1 being a loss. Two positions were held for 2.5 years! Have to check the same in other platforms.

Couldn't see any code in the demo so hard to tell. It is better than some other pieces because it does not play games with the in and out sample as you must save them in separate places. Limited testing with demo showed that it may be difficult to get results for timeframes less than 10 minutes.

even demo has limitation, i.e. not fully functional and even demo requires to register with themwith passport and other details, so bit very difficult and even if u get, while curing it, many of the important features would already be not there so it is meaningless. If someone proves me wrong and bring that baby here, good. I cud be happy -
