seems like you are just using the default setting

here's my stat for iWin combined with IndoRun and Hi-Net Grid...Started using bargainboo's setting on 28th Feb 2011, so far so good.

By the way, Dacky, on your version V3.4, I saw there are many different Magic nos that made me confused. I do not know how to use all these magic no.s

 

What I need is only 1 magic no. externally on Input parameter so that if I put your ea on Eurchf, I will use magic no. like 1111, and if I use your ea on another pair EURGBP, I will change magic no. to be 2222, and if using on USDCAD, I will change it to 3333, etc.

 

I wonder why there are many different magic no.s as default settings. Please kindly explain me more clearly. Thanks a lot for your time.

 

By the way, I do not see many people showing interests in this potentially profitable ea? I do not see many comments on backtesting, forward-testing results of good preset files for this ea on EURCHF, EURGBP, USDCAD, EURUSD, etc? Let's try to give our comments, suggestions or any good ideas to improve this ea even much more profitable.

 

+ In addition, what is the new change in your newer version V3.5 ? Have you backtested your ea on EURGBP, and EURUSD? I opine your ea works very well on these 2 pairs as well.

Hi Jen, if you want to trade this EA on different pairs, you just need to change the magic numbers to something similar below

From

Magic1=3152644

Magic2=3152645

Magic3=3152646

Magic4=3152647

To

Magic1=4152644

Magic2=4152645

Magic3=4152646

Magic4=4152647

same goes for your 3rd pair, you just need to change the 1st digit of the magic numbers

It was just using default settings, with GMT 2, min lots and lots set to 0.01, news filter on and everything else was default. All the other versions of indo trade with the lots I set in lot size.

please look for this code under LotSize() function of the mq4 and comment it out with //. That is causing the lot size to double and this code wasnt even there in the original 1.5 version

When I had this error, I had my friend to double-check, and she said that during backtesting, the ea placed multiple trades (not 1 trade per time). Is it right ?

 

She said if in forward-testing, the ea places several trades at almost same time, then, we should reduce risk down to 10% instead of 30% for account safety sake.

 

Anybody has any open trades on forward-testing? Please share your experience. Thanks

I just found error on the "Experts" column as follows:

+ 2011.03.04 07:54:50 DKT XC90-EC V34~ EURGBPm,M5: invalid lots amount for OrderSend function

 

This is on 5-digit broker. On 4-digit broker, I did not have this error, but also no trade so far on both 4-digit and 5-digit brokers.

 

Please kindly check and correct this error.

hi jen, you might need to set the LotPrecision to 2 especially if your lot size is less than 0.1

I tried setting minilots to 0.01 and still started opening trades at 0.8 which I have no idea how it's getting that number.

hi fx4ever, can you also expose the comment as input variable please? i.e. like what you did with MagicNumbers, being able to change the default comment "EURUSD_TC1" or TC2...

reason i ask is that am running it on multiple charts (same TF and pair) but with different settings. so having a different comment for each chart is good to have.

there was no offense Rich, putting an EA 24/5 is not a tool... but running it (for a while) in managed(baby-keep it) mode with conditions met is a tool

i see, thanks for that musketeer.

am running it with a very conservative setting with starting lotsizes of 0.01 and 0.02 for each trade cycle as advised by fx4ever. once i am happy with the results after 1month, will run it on 50k account with the above settings.
