Omnitrader? Really? Used that some 15 years ago, was rubbish, they always touted next version to be without mistakes, ..... Read the old hands commentary from 5 to 10 years ago, when OT tried to be a big player and their software had every bells and whistles you could think off.. it never worked out! Most of the time their improvements were just optical nature, but all the time it was also increasing and improving their copy protection scheme!!!

 

Amibroker is slim, fast, can do everything including proper backtesting and trading and Mont Carlo and Excel, R and you name it connectivity. Its cheap but wors like a charm. Get Bandy`s book...

 

Don`t waste your time with OT or NT or even TS (aside from still good TS2000i).

You can also google for tradesignalonline or maran. For both free versions and data are available.

So there are 3 components to this, amibroker, amiquote and afl, that's it?

 

No, there is AMIBROKER, which you require to graph and code. Code produced ist AFL code. Many user examples of afl codes are available in the afl-library. But you don`t require this, just code for yourself. Finally Amiquote is required to download and store data from external sources. But you can also use and import other ohter data or use other downöoad programs. Amiquote is just more convenient.

I guess, aside from Bill Williams, Genesis, NB10.4 and a few others this is the best and most easy system - derivative from Synergy, but H1 or H4!! Lots of indicator EAs (including alerts and mails) available - as well as some trading EAs (Expert Tool Box). Just read the first 200 pages of the FF thread or some pdfs available there.

 

Unfortunately the threadstarter and systemcreator "eelfranz" died, but his thread keeps going. Just pray a little prayer for him...

Yes, its a good system - but don`t forget its mainly H4 and has considerable DDs. There are other threads on steve`s board that show addons - like NB10.4 Dashboards, NB10.4 EAs and NB10.4 Multitraders.

 

The problem over there is the difficulty to find the information.

Profitunity is the method developed by Bill Williams in his books "Chaos..., New Dimensions..." and best known for his Alligator, Fractals etc. Tools build into MT4, Tutorials at Alpari, and especially here at indo-investasi. Including his marvellous dvd.

It was only my advice, free advice - which nobody will follow. You would be right, if we were trading futures - even currency futures; but with forex its too much noise. The noise is extremely high on those low TFs.
