Today trading results were not so good. -38pips but even so I'm 57,10 pips up in last week. I'm seeing USD/Cad in not doing so well as in backtest but 2 weeks of testing is not enought to make any judgement.

It trades 2 hours a day, right?

In my forward testing MDPro opened trades between 22-24pm, but bad trades can last till 9am or more.

GmtOffset:2 should be correct for this time of year. When we'll move the clock in Oct, time should be set to GMT+1.

But I'm using manul setting GMT+1 now and so far it works fine. So I'm little confused which setting is better too :-?

Mograst did you follow Don's instructions when instaling MDPro v1_00ee2xFix (1Ea for 4 logics). I had no crashes after this verison (agresive on risk level=0)?

Trades that go into overlap of Asian and London session are too dangerous in my opinion. SL can get hit in no time. So I'm thinking of closing this trades manually before London opening. I can live with minus 20-30pips now and then but minus 60-120p is much harder to swollow.

I use logic 2 (Eur/Chf) for USDCAD as it gave best results in back testing . Logic 4 isn't bad either for this pair.

Usdchf was swinging for far too long and could easily ended up in negative.

I believe that crashing problem could be caused by the same S1 S2 reference numbers on multiple opened MDPro EAs. Since I've entered different numbers for every opened EA I don't experience any more crashes while backtesting.

I guess a silly question.. You are using .dll file that Don posted with the EA.. Make sure there isnt another copy of the dll in a different directory.. Should be in the libaries folder.. But you never know..

Yes I do have the right dll. I even deleted and installed it again in library folder.

try this.. exit MT4.. delete the MdPro .ex4 and .mq4 (if there is one) AND the mqlcache.dat files from the expert folder.. copy JUST the MdPro ee2 MQ4 file to the expert folder.. then re-start MT4.. Run test or whatever and see if still crashes..

 

Whenever you get a download that has both the MQ4 and the EX4 files always use ONLY the mq4 file...

It doesn't help, it still crashes. The funny thing is that backtest continuos to run under MT4 crash details notification.

I don't think it's a windows version issue. I have Windows Vista Professional 6.0 Service Pack 1 (Build 6001)and am also getting multiple crashes when backtesting.

As I said Don's educated version of Megadroid Pro ee2 and broker is TadawulFx (I'm not completely satisfied with them, a lot of slippage lately).

One more thing. You shoul should stay away from AUD pairs. All testing ended negative.

I've run 2.5 year backtests on Alpari UK with every possible pair combination and logic and this are my findings about best trade logic settings;

USD/JPY= 4 (1333€+)

GBP/USD= 4 (1517€+)

EUR/JPY= 1 (729€+, this pair wasn't as profitable as other pairs)

GBP/CHF= 4 (943€+)

USD/CAD= 2 (2119€+)

Spread is very important factor in profitability of pairs (also run some test on ecn broker and profitability is higher). Backtesting was executed on 3000€ account, agressive, 0.1 lot per trade, Risk=0 and Recovery (Martingale)= false to get as clear picture of EA profitability as possible. All in all backtests look very promissing :)

Do you think Megadroid should run 24/7 or we can turn on computer few hours before MD trading hours? I restarted MT4 2h before trades took place and I'm wondering if this could be the cause of all these bad trades :-?

Hi Don, thanks for all your hard work and for sharing it. It would be great to have different logic behind different pairs. MD multipair opened four positions yesterday , udsjpy - euusd and usdchf - gbrusd two by two at the same time and all four ended up loosers 310pips down X-(
