Quite a big difference. I got one requote on USD/JPY on live account and one less open position by ea (could be because 1 pip higher spread).

Question for all the programers here. Is it posibble to code ea to try to open position again after getting requote? This ea is hunting for 10 pips so it should be okey even if position is opened few seconds later.

THV EA team has put so much work in this EA. It is based on THV3 trading system (which has proven very succesfull) with some modifications. EA in still in demo stage so you can't use it on live account. Unfortunately ea still needs to be fine tuned aka finding profitable setting. The results are very limited for now but I believe this ea has really big potential.

I see you are trading live on TadawulFX. I read the fixed spread page on the website, and it lists GBPCHF as 8 pips.

The MD default spread for logic 4 is 6 pips, so I'm wondering how it is managing to open trades? Do you have any thoughts on this?

 

TDFX spread for NZDUSD is 5, so I'm wondering if you (or anyone) had tried it out as a replacement for the volatile JPY pairs.

EA has been modified so we can trade pairs regardless of spead. Here are Don's instructions:

" Spread limit can be freely changed

Some broker has higher night spreads at some pairs, therefore MegaDroid

often sent out the message: "Safe spread limit exceeded"

Therefore there is a new variable called MaxSpread.

If MaxSpread set to 0 (zero), then MegaDroid's default built-in

spread limits are used.

If MaxSpread set to other number, then that number will be used as the new

"Safe spread limit". If you're on 5 digit broker, then multiply it by 10!

You can set MaxSpread to -1 (minus one). This tells MegaDroidPro to set

the maximum allowed spread to the currency's actual highest spread.

This way you don't have to guess what is the correct value. This setting is

actually disabling the spread limit protection! (See Warning!)

Example: you want to trade GBP/JPY, but its spread is 7 / 10 (day/night).

Set MaxSpread to 10 (night spread) if you're on 4 digit broker.

Set MaxSpread to 100 if you're on 5 digit broker!

Set MaxSpread to -1 and spread limit protection will be disabled..."

I don't know why but datasheet on demo and live account has 2 pip spread difference to begin with. So plus +1 pip because of mini account and you get 3 pip difference. The problem is MD closes order at the same price on both accounts so you "loose" extra 2 pips live.

Yes I know spread is 1 pip higher on some pairs (mini vs. standard account). But look at eur/usd (spread is 1 pip higher); trade was opened and closed at the same time on demo and live account but there is 3 pip difference between opening prices:

As you can see there is a huge difference between them. I didn't get any requotes so it all goes to slippage, worse spreads and probably price manipulation (data filtering). I hoped I've finally found non manipulative broker but I guess the quest goes on. I'll stay with them for a month and then make a decision to stay or close the account. In a meanwhile I'll post my daily trading results ;)

Results from yesterday (Tadawul demo), +36 pips no negative trades, GBP/USD was a close call it could easily hit S/L if closed little later (That's why I think it's so important to close all trading positions before London session opens). I'll start live trading with MDPro in two days so we can compare results with demo account.

... I'm quite satisfied with an account that gains 20% per month. An account that at least grows in relative safety like this is a godsend.

For me 20% per month is superb :) Even constant 10% per month is very good result for EA.

... Cannot believe it... It opened 2 trades 1 min after 1 another... Strange. Also..... It buy at the resistance when it is obvious that it should be a Sell....

Do you have agressive setting turned on? This will cause MD to open 2 trades of the same pair sometimes. It makes MD more profitable but also causes higher drawdowns.

Here are mine yesterdays results on TadawulFX (demo for now), 10 winning trades although 3 barely made it to positive. I can confirm now that tadawulf's datasheet on demo and live acc. are not the same. You get 2pip difference between them on EUR/USD :-? I don't notice any difference in other currency pairs.

Have you started trading live with TadawulFX already?

Unfortunately not yet. I've opened live account with them and I'll fund it on monday. I don't like three things about Tadawul. They advertise on their website that you can deposit your money to two AAA rating Swiss banks but in reality you can transfer your funds only to MARFIN POPULAR BANK located in Cyprus And if you don't have 1 million $ your funds will not be placed on segregated account (in case of Tadawul's bankruptcy you loose everything). They'll also widen eur/chf spread from 3->4 pips (they say because of too many requotes). I'll see how it goes next week, I hope MDPro can still be profitable under such conditions :-?

As you can see eur/chf got hit yesteday. Eur/chf has been very trendy last two days in asian hours. Let's hope this will stop (It also got hit on other scalping EA ). Still 57pips of profit though. This is why it's good to have more pairs with lower risk setting then just one.

I'm using Don's MegaDroidPro_v1_00ee2xFix version (with Dll) on TadawulFX demo account. I'm only runing 1h TF.

Logics used: USD/JPY=4, GBP/USD=4, EUR/JPY=1, GBP/CHF=4, USD/CAD=2

This is 1 of the longest md trade I have seen. Open to close: 8 hours and 17 minutes!

It is a strategy 2 trade. Why sometimes droid closed it for a loss early, and sometimes droid waited this long, to get a break even?

 

 

I'm still hoping someone can briefly tell me what's droid's S1 and S2 entry and exit strategy. ^:)^

I also had this long lasting trade. If I would trade live I'd close this trade manually hour before london opening hour (maybe trailing stop would be better idea as it could still end in profit but not risking so much) . I'd lost 5 pips but wouldn't risk it going in overlap of Asian and London session. If you've noticed MD set SL to 60 pips.

I compared yours with mine, your result is really amazing... I have a few losses, and some of them closed in break even or only 1 pip profit. Though overall it is positive everyday.

 

1 more thing, are you using Don's version or bbrain's version?

I'm using Don's version. Which logics are you using? I use USD/JPY=4, GBP/USD=4, EUR/JPY=1, GBP/CHF=4, USD/CAD=2. Spread is also very important factor (in my opinion it shoudn't be higher then 3).

If you go live with it, be prepared to see differences...

 

I was thinking to open an account with TadawulFX, till I read about a lot of differences in the data feed between live and demo.

Same EA, same settings, making profits in demo, but losing in live. (not my own experience, I read it from another forum)

Thanks for warning. I'm testing it on TadawulFX. I also read about different demo and live data feed of this broker on forexpeacearmy (they denied it though). I'm planing trading 100:1, 0.1 standard lot, so getting filled (liquidity) shouldn't be a problem. I'll run demo and live MT4 terminal at the same time so if I see a lot of difference (lots of requotes, slow fills etc.) I'll just redraw my funds and close account.
