MDPro just hit 2 SL on EU/JPY and 1 on USD/JPY -140pips. "Luckily" I've been trading only 0.1 lots and closed 1 USD/JPY position manually while still in small profit. I've lost 2 weeks gains and am currently -2,5% down on my account. I think this is it for me. I can't sleep well knowing EA can loose 60pips or more and win only 10 or less pips per trade @-)

Is anyone still using MDPro live? It has made +40pips last week and two SL with USDD/CAD wich erased all gains again X-( When it starts making some profit it eliminates it with just one or two SL. Assian session is wild today. Euro hitting three months high and strong retracement to 61.8 fib 3ATR on 5 min is higher then 30 :?: Very bad enviroment for scalping EA like MDPro.

If anyone has one they've been using successfully for a year or more I'd be interested to know the name but I guess then if you had one you wouldn't be reading this forum! ;)

Try THV4 manual trading system. It's free you can find it on Forexfactory. I've been trading it for a year now with average +30pips a day. But no manual system will work without good basic trading knowledge not even this system. If you blindly follow indicators you'll get burned sooner or later.

I still haven't found EA which has 1:1 or higher TP/SL ratio and is profitable in the long run. All this comercial EAs that have 60p SL 5p TP ratio or something similar are giving me heart attack every time I use them live. Then they advise you to use high lot sizes which can wipe your account and give you few percent gain in return. Remember institutional traders usually trade with only with 1 standard lot size per 50.000$ equity and risking no more then 1-2% of the account per trade. If you risk only 1% per trade with this EAs profits per trade get very small.

The problem I see with all this ultra scalping EAs is their high SL and small TP settings. Even if you get 90% win ratio you could still be in minus. I have yet to see EA with 1:1 or at least 3:2 SL/TP ratio that is profitable. Then I'll believe in trading logic behind it. Some banks and hedge funds have invested millions in EAs which do work but they won't let it become public or they are only willing to sell it for super high prices to other institutional investors. If "our" 50 bucks EAs were profitable why would they spend so much money in development of the EAs on their own? And why would you sell something that can make millions for 50$ risking that a lot of EA users opening positions exactly at the same time can swing market price action :hammer:

Anyone still trading with MDPro live? My 2 months results are not very promising. MDPro only made around +150pips. I can't use big lots becasue very bad winn/loss ratio (I risk max 2% risk per trade) so profits are vey marginal ;))

Guys, it seems hard to drop MD and MDpro after all the time and effort we put in. I agree with news trading being a problem. I have found a news filter that stops your EA trading for whatever set minutes before and after news (internal). It can be set for High, Medium or Low impact news (you choose, external)...

Thanks for the ea I'll try it next week on demo.However I don't think FFcal ea can solve news problem completely. When we have high impact news event especially USD before MDPro trading hours its impact can have consequences on all MDPro trading hours (first spike up or down then retrace to 23, 38, 61... fib. etc) and MDPro just can't cope with such movements :(

MDPro made modest gain in pips for me in last 50 days. Not much but at least not negative overall.

I do turn off my ea (currency pair) if there is medium/high impact news event during assian session on calendar. I missed the ones that started before trading time of the ea and obviously also have impact on assian session. I learn something new every day ;)) During manual trading when scalping I avoid trading 15min before and 15min after news, which does the trick but then again I allways trade with the trend.

yday was a FOMC speech on 18:45 GMT, which has been announced on the forex calendar way in advance. If you people do not watch this calendar and eventually switch off the EA's ... it is not to blame on the Megadroid !

I personally had a temp drawdown of 25% yday, but all went fine, +1% this night. Thus I cannot confirm any hassle 'bout the MegaDroid XE 1.2. My account has made +60% in September, in October currently up 10% overall. Including 5 SL's ...
I kicked off USDCAD long time ago, with trying out Logic 1-4 and not getting any useful result in live trading. on GPBUSD I use logic 4 and not 1. EURGBP kicked out also, same with AUDUSD.

I just wonder why many people seem to start screaming around when it once or twice goes wrong. Adjust your money management & logics (really think about that !!!) properly, do not be greedy, and look on the long run.

I wish I used it sooner. My demo account has grown 100% with only 0.1lot size per trade (from 3000 to 6000€) in summer months. We see so many sideway breakouts in Assian session now that I don't know if any scalping ea can be profitable right now. I'm also using Eurocross D05 and the same story. Very good till September and loosing big time now :(

Another very bad day for MDPro. It counter traded in strong eur/usd uptrend twice hitting two SL. Plus SL in gbp/usd and usd/cad. I lost 80pips (break even overall). I'm slowly begining to loose faith in this ea. What do you think?

I still think this EA has potential as long as you respect basic trading rules. No trading on medium and high impact news and bank holidays. I'm 50 pips up in September but would have been at least 100 pips in positive if I'd strictly respect no trading time rules. This is counter trend EA so don't expect miracles. I see that some of you risk way too much per trade. Again follow 1-2% risk per trade rule so when you hit SL (remember that max SL of MDPro is 150pips) it's not the end of the world. I know it's hard to resist big profits using big lot sizes and/or high leverage but keep in mind that risk/reward ratio of MDPro is 15:1 in worst case scenario so good MM is VERY important. I'll give it a run for another 3 months (or until loosing 20% of my account) and then decide if I'm going to use it further or not. Just my 2c.

You shouldn't trade when you have major bank holiday and news ahead. Bank holiday can cause very low or high volatility but mostly low (low liquidity) and when you add important news to mixture you get very volatile movements taking out your SL. Yesterday was one of the worst days to trade EA, Chinese bank holiday + Fed Chairman Bernanke has spoken (also CAD Gov Council Member Jenkins Speaks, JPY Core Machinery Orders m/m). When you have High impact USD news/speach don't trade with any currency pair it can and probably will affect all currency pairs (some more than the others). I personally turn off trading with currency pair which will have medium or high impact news during Assian session and as said above if there is high importance USD news I don't trade with MDPro at all (look at forexfactory calendar). That being said I'm also not very profitable with this EA (only +50 pips up in September) but most of my stop losses could be avoided if I'd follow my own rules :hammer: I know I'll respect them from now on.

Guys... I wonder, was there any news about GBP yesterday?
I'm thinking, if all the losses with GBPUSD and EURGBP were due to the news, would a newsfilter help that?

I'm going to implement the newsfilter if that's the case.

I think not. Only medium important news was on jpy pair at 1.51am (GMT+1).

Hi nimaparham, which broker are you using o live account (I think your results are the best so far)?

Yesterday EUR/GBP hit S/L again on live account (pound reaching a fresh 5-months high). Assian session is becoming more and more volatile, killing MDPro's positive performance. October is one of the most volatile months in general and I guess it started early

As you can see live account is opening less trades then demo again. EA tries to open trades on live account but gets "TradeDispatcher: trade context is busy" error in MT4 journal. I was told that this is due to using multiple MDP EA on the same terminal (I'll set each EA on different terminal from now on), but I'm not getting this error on demo terminal which is set exactly the same??? Default trading hours (set on ATC account) took a lot of hits.
