This EA is more than likely a similar EA to the Euro-blaster with large SL and small TP. The giveaway on the vendors website is that they dont show any actual trades (even as a backtest trade by trade report). So they claim the backtest is worthless but their short lived live trading report (no actual trades either) is the decisive factor that this EA is profitable. If there was a "BS crap eating contest" this developer would win for sure!! Not to mention they claim they use Clickbank and when you click to buy the EA Plimus shows up.

My recommendation/opinion: Great EA that looks good for marketing. In reality the EA has extremely high SL and low TP and it holds trades for extended periods before either SL or TP takes out the orders. It is improved somewhat from the VIP previous version but still is not ready for real trading. Nevertheless pls test for yourself and give your own opinion ;)

Hmm.. run the backtest from 2001 til current on USDCHF H1. Shortly after you will get the account blown as in the attached screenshot. As the MIT and Harvard math PhDs stated.. these type of EAs have Zero probability of success. They all end up blowing the account - some sooner than later.

This guy is toast! Look at one of his live statements that he posts. Equity on the account: $75k and open loss: -$77k so he stopped trading the account obviously. The other live accounts he shows live stopped trading in Jan 2010 after few weeks.. stay away is my recommendation.

The developer stopped trading on Dec.14, 2009 after 7 weeks of trading it live. No word after that which arises great suspicion. Other live trading is for 3 weeks and stopped as well on Dec. 7, 2009. Be very wary about this.

I see one big problem with this EA and it's the trailing stop. If the setting is set to 6 it starts trailing after we are 6 pips in profit and the initial 6 pips SL is set to break even. It would be much better if the trailing stop moves 1 pip right from the start like this: we are in 1 pip profit and SL is moved 1 pip from initial value, we're in 2 pips profit and we move another 1 pip the SL. That way the EA should have more breathing space and could be much more profitable and the DDs should be lower. Another thing that could be changed is to add TP but this is not so important as the TS issue.

Yeah you can start to modify this and that and retest but the bottom line is this. The russians have started development on this EA a while ago and the EA has gone through many, many revisions. I would venture to say that the developers would have already implemented the SL/TP mods if they taught it would help. What one has to ask is if an EA like this which cannot be reliably backtested is worth any development time?

What's really needed is real tick data.

Very true but how to play back that data is important too. MT4 cannot do it. There are some good sources for historical tickdata such as tickdata.com which can be imported into any number of platforms. Maybe in MT5 they added the true tick by tick backtesting.. not sure but I hope ;)

What if the market runs against it right from the start before it got 6 pips to add the SL? Hmmm...

This is similar to Vector trader which after 100 pages on RU trader forum turned out to be junk.

This is a total waste of time.. just an illusion of profitability because great looking backtests.. but the backtests do not hold any value in this case.. and the forward tests already show loss after loss. If someone wants to make an accurate backtest it needs to be converted to Tradestation, Neoticker, Ninja etc. Those platforms perform correct tick by tick backtesting.

I believe this was corrected in version 0.1.5 which I posted below. What this EA needs is a self adapting piece of code where it self-adjusts the speed and timespeed parameters. Otherwise it is simply a goosechase, not only that when different amount of ticks come in it will not be kind to the account.

This EA is very very data sensitive. It may work at a certain broker and all of a sudden not enough ticks not coming in = loss after loss. Backtest is useless since MT4 does not store real ticks and only sees ticks as M1 data. It may work at certain ECNs which have a lot more ticks per minute coming in but you will have to try many and find out by forward testing which one will sustain it and even then when you go live with it it may not work still. I tried it on demo at GoMarkets and so far it bombed with 7 trades 7 losses on GBPUSD M5.

The reason is "safe" is because it has hardcoded dates in the DLL to skip when the EA would have crashed. Backtest is really deceiving. You can examine the DLL with PE Explorer..

Also when it does not skip.. check out this backtest screenshot. Trading 0.01 lots.. it went up to 16.69 lots!! Insane risk..

Their other EA SmartScalper looks a bit less risky even though it loads on trades of the same size when the market goes against it and exits simultaneous trades at the same time (or give away "timestamp of death"). They call it a "Scalper" mind you for whatever reason.

Thank you for sharing. However it suffers from the same ailment as the other martingdale suffer.. it blows the account.. backtest from 2001 onward on EURUSD H1.. will not be long before you see the account wiped.

Making 5 pips a trade and losing 160 pips is hardly a good money management practice. Also even in their backtests they show > 20% draw.

If this is a real account he should take the profits and run (now!). The ROR (Risk of Ruin) is 100% here with the risk that he's taking on this account.. lets patiently watch and enjoy the show for the next few days, if it will even take that long for the bomb to go off..

Its not even worth the trouble to get this EA unless someone has it and wants to share so we get a good laugh by backtesting it and letting it crash the account. This EA operates by opening a basket of trades on all major pairs. It either buys the basket or sells it. Once a certain "global" profit of the basket is reached it closes all the trades as you can see in the (same) numerous timestamps it has when it closed trades in the live report.

The problem is that this EA has no chance of survival (I would venture to say even for a week) since once the market goes against the basket direction.. poof goes the account! If you look at the live statement - it is only for 1-2 days old and I bet they will keep resetting the account once the EA gets into trouble.
