  1. That post was over a year ago. That EA was shared in the past on this forum but did not work unless you registered your broker account number with the developers. My account ran out of funds from a non-related margin call. I am just manually trading most of the time now. The company that had that EA was called Tulipfx.com. I believe that the EA was discontinued. But, replaced using their server to trade and manage your account.
  2. I believe that you are correct ianj. An open winning trade eventually turned into a losing trade because it did not close the trade in time....:-/

There is a problem in the mechanism for calculating the SL using a ZigZag indicator - the decompilation is faulty - i can fix that but then something else is broken

The fault is causing it to hang in backtest (and it will hang when you trade forward as well)

Unless you can fix this EA YOURSELF you should not use it - It has AT LEAST one fault. If you can fix the fault yourself then you might be qualified to test and use yourself

  3. Yes, I agree.

Maybe "interfere" was not exactly the word I was looking for. The other EU EAs I have still work independently, but, when Joker closes a trade, it closes all the other EU trades also. Sometimes the other EAs close in profit (when it closes them), and sometimes they are not in profit when they are closed by Joker. :-?

I hve 3 EA' on Eur/Usd Joker F... none of interfered with each other trades
  4. Thanks for your clarification.

The EA is banned from forums i suppose...its not what it is....hehe dont you...we respect developers but not scamers...the traders over questioned him ???nothing is hidden in forex market...anyone can get his share its open...sky is limit
  5. Yes, we all hope for a repeal of the Dodd-Frank law. Frank was the guy that forced banks to loan money to people who could not afford the loans. The banks were threatened with IRS audits, fines, etc. Then when the banks made the "bad loans" as they were forced to. Thousands of loans were not paid back, and there was a collapse of any surplus funds throughout the country. Then after he did all his damage, Frank had the "nerve" to blame the "banks" and say that they were too "greedy" to make loans to people who could not afford them!! Yet, there are hundreds of bank officers that were willing to come forward and verify that they were threatened by Frank (or his agents) to make the loans "or else". Fortunately, Frank's popularity with the voters got so low that he was "forced" to retire, or, get voted out if he did not retire. He had originally planned to stay in office for at least another 10 years. Now we just need to repeal his unconstitutional laws that he got passed... X-(

    thats correct....!!

and if you think of FinFx you should rethink ....they've got lower the spreads but kicks you with the .352 usd commission per trade...

glad you managed to find some what good trading conditions...i am positive laws will change ...but with the new Dodd-Frank law and the crisis....doubtfull in our favor...

  6. I agree, that is why I stopped mentioning them in my posts. They said they would re-open my account if I form an overseas company, and then register the company with them. But, that also requires opening up a foreign bank account. For now, it is not worth the trouble. Maybe some day, if I trade 5 lots at a time, then maybe I will consider it....

unless you provide an non-US proof of residence, doubtful they'll bent regulations.....
  7. I am mostly testing different EAs with different brokers. So, I compare different performance with the same EAs. For example, LiteForex works well with some EAs that require 4 digits, but, not well with EAs that require EU spreads less than 3. For example, Forex Striker does not seem to trade at all on LiteForex, becasue Striker requires a spread less than 3 to work. etc..
  8. LiteForex, FXDD Malta, Forex.com, Oanda, MBT, Ava, TradersWay, Alpari, IBFX, and a few others. They seem to be overloading my VPS so I may close a few. I'll give an update when I renew my Zulu account experiment...

    whatever you wish sneed,

glad to actually shed some light on the topic. if you feel like giving it another chance, sure you should go ahead and do it.

just out of curiousity, which other platforms are you using?

  9. Yes, I agree, Zulu seems to be making an effort to be more user friendly. Many signal providers are planning to slow down (or stop) trading during the end of November and most of December. So, I will probably try re-establishing a trade account with them after the first week of January. That will give me a chance to close down some platforms that I am currently using and put some money towards a Zulu account.....
  10. They were 2 seperate statements, not combined.

#1. I had an account with Zulutrade, with the brokers mentioned in my original posts a few months ago.

#2. Then, after closing my account with Zulu, I received an offer to trade with AAAfx, with my regular manual trading and EAs. Following that, AAAfx changed their mind and decided to close US accounts (after initially deciding to ignore the CFTC regulations).

Regarding the investigations, as I already tried to explain, Zulu trade would not offer a refund because they claimed the problem was with my brokers. And my brokers would not offer a refund because they claim that the Zulu signal was never received from Zulu (or that the Zulu signal was an "invalid" order). This was the reason I gave up on filing complaints all the time, and simply closed the Zulu account.

I'm sorry if my previous posts were not clear on this. I re-read them and they all seem to pretty much say the same thing... There are no "trick questions" here or "secret messages". My experience was a few years ago, and maybe things have changed. But, the disappointing events are pretty straight forward. And, I already have stated that I will give them a try again, based on indications that the many complaints they received have been acted upon. Because, for sure, there were many "other" customers of theirs who had the same problem, according to their own technical support people.

I am sorry, didnt quite get your posts, you saying you had an account with aaafx and not with zulutrade? so how did you try zultrade as you are expressing some opinionated comments....if your trades remained opened, after your SP closes them you can always ask for a refund or investigation for the difference either from your broker or from zulutrade - either way this amounts should be granted.
  11. I agree. The Zulu project is much more user friendly and economical than paying a professional money manager. It keeps you in control of your account. You can pull out at any time. ;) As long as all the other technical issues have been resolved....

We all have to remember that any 20%+ profit with low draws is better than most professional money managers out there.
  12. Hi hj35. As mentioned above, my trades would remain open "after" the signal provider had closed them for everyone else, resulting in losing trades that were originally winners. I was just a regular customer, not a signal provider. If you are not having problems with them, then maybe Zulu fixed the problem. My last experience with Zulu was over 2 years ago. A lot can happen in that amount of time to fix a problem.

Sneed what was your technical problem with zulutrade ? I'm curious to know because i havent experienced any technical issues so far with them. Were you a signal provider there?
  13. Your explanation makes sense. I had an account with AAAfx for a year, then, the account was closed due to CFTC regulations for US residents. But, I never tried it with Zulu.

Do you know if Zulu works well with FinFx? If so, I am willing to give Zulu another try.

the glitch you are talking about is the so-called slippage, or it varies from broker to broker. as i also had quite an issue with alpari, I was checking my trades one by one, with closing time and all from zulutrade and my broker, and to tell you the truth it was really the broker that was closing them late, when i asked for refund needless to say it was denied, with the excuse of it is being 'within the acceptable market movements limits". so i switched to aaafx and problem got resolved. apparently it is an integration thing or just brokers getting some money out of the spreads and closing time.
  14. My "opinions" can be changed more easily than the memory of my "experiences". I have no doubt that there are excellent traders with that group. The problems I had was of a "technical" nature. Every time I lost money due to a technical "glitch" ZuluTrade claimed that it was my "broker's" fault and my broker would claim that it was "ZuluTrade's" fault. The signal provider was making good trades, but, too many times my open trades were not closed unless I closed them manually. And by that time a winning trade turned into a losing trade. If you are saying that they have "re-trained" their tech support to be more concerned about "bugs" in their platform, and to be less "dismissive" to their customers, then I will try them again. But, more times than not, their tech support was always "clueless" to resolve any problems I experienced. They would just say "try again, and see if it happens again". And of course it did, and I lost more money, and they couldn't care less in the end. So, I am not just voicing an empty opinion about something I never tried. Rather I have been burned no less than 10 times with that company, so, understandably, I am just being cautious, because no-one seems to be looking out for my financial welfare except me. As the saying goes "...fool me twice, shame on ME" (not shame on you).

well you can always go and visit the orginal zulutrade forum and then you will read from people winning a lot , winning a bit and not winning at all (if you account management sucks). apparently it is only me that writes frequently here and sporadicaly smb else.

if you do not believe keep it like this, afterall doubtfull will anybody/anytthing change your opinion...

  15. I look forward to hearing "more" positive experiences from "other" members in this large Forum before I go back to Zulu.

I promise to be patient, while the other members get in line to tell their experiences. :)

guys, its been what 16m trading and my results are more than great - 6235 bucks (with losses of course) but overall manages to tripple my innitial investment :)
  16. Until they fix it I definitely won't trade higher than pennies. But, I did find it interesting that on LiteForex it went short 2 trades and lost $5.58 and $6.59, on a micro account. Both trades done within 20 minutes of each other. On all my other brokers, including Alpari I made a "profit" between $0.01 and $0.03 cents. Definitely not what their sales literature promised.;))

I am still happy with the Kangaroo EA however. ;)

  17. Yes, I have the same problem, with 1.02 and some of the earlier versions. Hopefully, version 1.03 will replace it some day.

Currently, the vendor's web site is still only downloading 1.02 as their most recent version. :(

Doesn't v1.02 have an issue somewhere in its code? Mine always makes small loss or $0.00 which all other myfx accounts make something. Right now as I type this my Pipjet trade closed at $0 and looking on myfx their trades are all still open?

Any luck with fixing v.1.02 or educating the latest V? This ea has good potential if it worked correctly

  18. I had meant that the educated EA stopped working while the licensed version continued to trade for a couple of weeks. Then the educated one started to trade again, but, only with $0.00 profits per trade or $.01 profits per trade. It did not seem to take into account spreads when opening and closing a trade.... I didn't have the patience to fix it and stopped using it.

    Now they are not!
