This, we are not even talking about what instrument you are choosing to trade. This makes a big difference as well. ES is one story but NQ is another. It is a beast. So the risk and reward or your stoploss and target might need to be adjusted for each. Stoploss for NQ might need to be bigger to give it some breathing rooms, since it moves up and down like a nutcase on weeds.

The truth is, just because someone passes in 1 day, that does not mean at all, that this trader is going to be successful trading his or her funded account with the same way. It might just be pure luck he or she hit on the very first day, with a big win from a big drop or push. Yes, it is possible. I have done that myself and I know many traders have as well. But I blew my funded accounts as quickly as I passed. Gone with the wind. Thinking, with the same mentality and actions when I passed that I could again use with funded accounts. I was a fool. I was dumb. That is, the honest truth on my part.

If you know that your strategy is to risk 20 points and a reward ratio of 40 points, then you already know how many trades you could throw out in a day, your max trades. Only imagine, with that ratio you have, if you come in right at the start and you hit 3 losses back to back. Then, should that be an indication for you to just now stop trading for the day? If you hit 3 winners straight. Then should that also be an indication for you to now stop for the day? Not even to mention that, there are prop firms with daily capped amount, whether it is 30% or 50% based off your your given target goal.

With a 50K account, I suggest to go slow with micros. Yes, it will take longer to pass but this aint a marathon. You have 30 days to complete. Why do it in such a hurry, only to blow your accounts left and right. Screw that psychology trap of "pass in 1 day". Screw that 7 max contracts. You have it there to know that you still have the ability to add on contracts, when in deed, you really need to do so...But never, ever come in straight with max contracts. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

Trading, to some degree, is a gamble. Yes, true so but then it is a type of gamble with knowledge, sheer concentration and with educated thinking, analyzing and actions. Unlike a type of gamble when we hit Las Vegas, put $10 bucks in a slot machine and pull. That is just pure luck, if we do actually win. But again, everything in life, really is a gamble. We win. We lose. We are down. We are up. We fight with life to survive, left and right with every single decision that we make.

To me at least, in my view, the "max contract size" and the "one day pass" are purely psychological traps. Folks, especially the "desperates" and newbies, think they can just come in with maximum contracts allowed, in order to pass in just 1 day. That is insane. Only to blow them all in 1 trade or two, or in a single day.

They cant answer you because, for once, they do not know your choice of prop firm. Everyone of them has slightly different rules. Some have intraday drawdown. Some do not. Some have EOD drawdown. Some have daily loss limit and the others, dont. It does make a huge difference when it comes to this and that is just, on the surface.

Hello, I thought it would be a good thing to create this thread which might just be informative, valuable and beneficial to many, especially with those who are just starting out with their trading journey. I am certain that some of us already have some favorite traders from whom they have been or are following each single morning to guide them with their trading activities, whether it is for educational purposes or for specific trading entries and exits as well as on how to manage the plays to the end. If we can, collectively, provide here the YouTube links of our recommended traders, who stream their trading LIVE each trading day, this would be awesome. We can all learn a thing or two from each other and their recommend traders. Of course, with all due respect to the house and our beloved Admin, we would need her permission FIRST since we do not want to be mistaken as for people affiliated with our posted links. Keep in mind though, only post ones with actual FREE LIVE TRADING and the main key thing of all this is for "EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES" only. Whether you decide to follow through with any of their "recommendations" and/or for their live "signals & alerts", that would rest entirely on your own merit and you are fully and personally responsible for your own decisions and actions. You certainly acknowledge all the risks inherent to this. As for now, I shall go first with one of mine... Thank you guys and gals.🤗

The files for NT8 can be downloaded from their site, if I remember it correctly. However, this is one of those set of indicators that couldn't be educated for quite sometimes, just as the T3 NexGen.

I sure hope, in those 10 years long, you were still making money on the side while doing your testing and not wasting all these precious years down the drains, just to conclude 90% of them dont mean a darn thing in the end. For the love of God, the FDA folks dont even take that many years to approve some medications we take.🫣 I envy your sheer dedication. That is indeed, such a serious dedication Regardless, I personally think it is a big waste of time to run all these analysis and studies unless, you plan on running your strats and bots 24/7 for long term. We pretty much trade as scalpers. In and out quickly. Especially if we are using prop firms with intraday drawdown. Quickly in and out, take our quick profits one piece at a time is the way to sustain and to survive this rule. So, it is really pointless, in my view to even worry about backtesting since you are just get in and get out within seconds or minutes. But then again, that is just me. I dont intend to invent the wheels. I take whatever that is already working and working effectively then I stick to it. In the end though, as the old saying goes, whatever rocks your boat, go for it!🤗

I use these. Here are ones for the most used intruments, ES, NQ and YM. https://workupload.com/archive/pLhxy4Fsyp Just as many bots out there, it is not set and forget. Still need to watch it closely and adjust the stops and profit targets when needed. Like this morning, when market opened for ES (I mainly trade ES, once in while, I switch to NQ), soon enough, if I recall correctly, it fired a trade for short side. Price moved up and down a bit. Based on my analysis and a tad of "instinct", I felt like it would not reverse to long side and so I decided to move my stoploss just a bit up in order to avoid being stopped out too soon for no good reason. It did so as expected. After a candle or two to create a panic for folks, thinking bulls were now in control. Behold, it fell hard to around 6722.25 level. Made my daily goal so quickly, I couldnt just believe my eyes!🤣 -
A tad different from ProEdge Runner, I see. It is pretty much based off moving averages. Regardless, I do think it has its potential. Just catch a reasonable signal at important key levels, you could reach you daily goal!

They just work! This is on a non-edu and latest version of NT8.
