Is Broker X faster at executing orders than Broker Y?

Latency, slippage, and server speed — is Broker X really superior to Broker Y in these aspects? How do server location, order routing technology, or even the type of account used affect this? If every millisecond can affect the execution result, isn't it important to know which broker is more responsive? 
Name a broker that you consider to be good.

I would prefer brokers that have Sierra Chart's Teton order routing, Stage5Trading, etc. I think AMP Futures recently started supporting this feature as well.
