More like it could be killed not should be. Obviously realistic testing needs to be done to see if the gains when latching onto a trend can offset the chops. lbf4223 Posted December 27, 2016 Report Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Don't you folks think that if a 14 period CCI crossing above/below 50/-50 level determined momentum of trend in a meaningful way (has an edge) that the Woodie cult would have found it since fooling around with it, trying to be profitable as a group since 2002? Common sense comes into play here. Prime ingredients of a market scam artist: 1. Use modified renko bars so the chart looks better than your entries in real-time. 2. Use common indicators, rename them, and not tell you. Always use real closes. You get a slippage of 1 tick avg in a decent market. If you want non-time charts, then work with a 5 tick range chart on the NQ, NG, CL or GC. If your scalp strategy won't work with that, it's likely not going to work at all. Admis is absolutely correct on fake bars with no volume. That's why I keep posting this for you look at during your testing: https://www.sendspace.com/file/adwa2n You get to see on a non-time based chart how many seconds each bar actually took so you get a good idea if your entries are realistic relative to the price where you got a buy/sell signal. Also I notice WTIntend indi signals are completely different on both charts . I put wtbars under the futures I want and at the speed of trade. After 3/4 gray candles i trade within the momentum. I use it for a few days but it looks really phenomenal.
