microsat2 Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 two computers are in different time zone. In order to import data from one computer to another computer, can we just copy all last.ntd files from one computer to another computer's corresponding folder, regardless of the time zone? All ntd files in ninjatrader are based on UTC time zone, am I right? Thank you. Mike
⭐ Meow Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 The time zone doesnt matter for that, just copy files. The charts will be presented according to the time on your machine.
microsat2 Posted March 26, 2016 Author Report Posted March 26, 2016 thank you. that's the answer I want. I have another question. sometimes, the last.ntd files with same name but from different computer contain different binary. What is the different? Some difference in file size is very big. So replacing which file with which file is the correct way if two computers contain last.ntd files with same name. Thank you. The time zone doesnt matter for that, just copy files. The charts will be presented according to the time on your machine.
thaomoua Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Usually its best just to copy everything over assuming you want to copy data from one PC to another PC. If you want to choose and pick what to copy or not to copy, its complicated & confusing (unless you can view the NTD file content) and you may end up with hybrid copy and may cause issue. Stay simple.
