microsat2
anyone use range timeframe? how to find an equivalent range time frame for a given 60 minutes time frame? For example, for a H1 timeframe ES-mini, what is its equivalent range chart? for a H4 timeframe ES-mini, what is its equivalent range chart? for a daily timeframe ES-mini, what is its equivalent range chart? How to calculate this? Thank you.
⭐ klhk
AFAIK, range does not have time concept. whenever there's a jump outside the defined range, another bar builds. if range size is within the time-bar size, i guess there's no faithful tranformation. orfila
In the flux package there is a bar timer function that averages the bar time for x number of days, I use that to set the renko or range bars to some time setting ... Infonut
Isn't the whole idea of using range bars to take time out of the equation?
Tostao
the simplest way is to use Average True Range (ATR) of a specified period. Eg 60 min - ATR(14) , its gives an approximation of the average range of the bars in this period. Likewise, to use range or Renko will give you a significant improvement in your trading. regards,
