Tested only on FESX yesterday and they arfe not such a big deal, compared in real time with @p@ and nc@t and i have to say (so far) I feel better with nc@t and a profile 4 my style. Keep on testing at least all this week. Using the g0ld3n bars to enter make me feel like waiting for a train already gone 4 hours ago, I wanna trade IN the g0lden bar and forget the rest, BIG LOTS FEW TICKS tight risk BUT REALLY really QUICK!

iTick... what is NC@T and can you please post the link ? ????

I've been testing Volume Zones for two days. Today I experiment with MACD as a filter, I test two different inputs. Tomorrow I'm going to test VZ with VWAP as a filter. The results are very good so far. The idea is to take long positions only when MACD is below zero and to take short positions only when it is above zero. I miss some trades this way, and miss even more because sometimes I can't get a fill, but I don't think it's a problem. I trade NQ on a 300 ticks chart.

Thank you, but I use a free NT version where strategies are not enabled. A default MACD works well though. I tried tons of tools and strategies you guys generously shared here but never wrote back because no one was working for me, not a single one. This one is the first which works, at least under current market conditions.

voff2, what do you mean to say that it "works?" Are you speaking about functioning without bugs are some sort of performance/profit measurement?

There was a 2 part webinar in Feb where he went over the mastery program system.

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6--DMVSafEM

Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S16VMpFMmgI

He goes over 2 setups in bloodhound (part1@44min). The Value Trade which requires some discretion and the Power Momentum Trade which can be completely automated. Back test results looked promising (part2@1hr30min).

I'm trying to put together the conditions based on a few screenshots of what he showed. I'm guessing the conditions by the name of the solvers and the logic templates. What do you guys think? It would be helpful if someone had a mastery program manual with the actual trade setup rules. I'll try to recreate some of the back test results to see if these conditions match up.

The Solvers:

GZT_Both S/D 1st Retest Threshold - Thrust Bar Signal which is built into the VolumeZones indicator

STF MomoHisto Comparison - Single Time Frame Histogram above/below MACD or zero line. MACD most likely because no ZL in name.

Momo BB Single Band Comparison - BB Dots are outside of the bands. - Or only upper band is above zl for longs and only lower band is below zl for shorts.

HTF_MomoHistoBothComparison -Higher Time Frame Histogram above/below MACD or zero line?

The rest of the solvers with "ZL" in the name compare the named plot with the zero line.

The list of Solvers:

The Value Trade:

Guys, this is weird, probably it's a bug in GT Volume Zones indicator. After midnight the zones disappiers from any chart types except minutes. I.e. if you have a tick chart already open it will be working fine even after midnight, but if you switch it to another chart type and back to ticks, it stops working. Can somebody verify? It's really annoying.

Maybe you can clear the Ninja Cache. You will then need to reload all of your historical data.

I even reinstalled NT completely. In the morning it's back again on the tick charts. After midnight it disappears.

Re-installed on top of the previous installation? Or re-installed in place of it, having deleted the previous install folders?

The first is subjective. The latter is absolute.

Was this re-install done in both /My Documents/NinjaTrader and /Programs **/NinjaTrader?

I uninstalled NT and deleted its folder in My Documents. I also checked this issue on my tablet PC and it's the same - after midnight no Volume Zones on all chart types except minutes. It's definitely a bug.

Another Data Series? Contract? Or Session Template = 24x7?

I have not experienced your problem.

Since installing it's only worked for me on minute charts, nothing else. I'm running 64 bit.

60 Minute chart:

1000 tick chart:

... and even 6 SymRenko chart:

Ah that's interesting. It's only the volume zones that I'm having an issue with. I did a completely fresh install of NT a couple weeks ago and have very few indicators loaded now so I'm surprised it didn't work on any of the other bars. I'm not too concerned about it if I can't get it to work but thanks for posting your charts.

yes thats strange. i'm not having any issue with it regardless of bar type, including tick. i have not checked to see how many days data i'm loading on the tick chart using it, but wondering if that could be an issue not loading enough days? would think it would just work off of whatever data you provided.

Not having any issues here... still in the stage of development, not yet 100% comfortable with this! Today still with nc@t and profile.

Still trying to figure out how to get in the g0ld bars... I'm really close. Searching the right instrument, today I'm in really volatile, let's see if it works.

just 2 words: I want the gold bar coz it usually is large lots so no problem to get in and out very quick even with big lots
