I found while tersting that the ATRTrailingStop indicator for Ninja is producing strange plottings. This applies to both V1 and V2 of the indicator. This indicator was mentioned here on II and apparantly some people might use it.

I compared to two other ATR trailing Stop indicators

1- The N@vi one

2- From GreatTradingSystems dot com

Please see this chart and draw your own conclusions

If anyone can recommend a good ATR Trailing Stop indicator superior to the two indiators mentioned above?

Chuck LeBeaus Chandelier stop loss method is based on the ATR indicator also.

Take a look: http://www.remisiers.org/cms_images/guppyspeaks/ATR_CHANDELIER_VOLATILITY_EXIT_MANAGEMENT.pdf

Someone needs to code it from scratch. Logically setting up SL based on Current realized volatility, Histrocial & Implied volatility is the the best thing to do to stay insured against sudden whipsaws with a higher degree of certainty. A detailed discussion about Lebeaus methods could be found on ET forum.
