⭐ fxus Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 Anyone has working open source code for marketbalance ? It will be nice to add a feature to compare bid/ask diagonally. Thanks, Quote
sheetal Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 Don't have the source code. But, I had this question in mind for sometime - Why to compare bid/ask 'diagonally'? I mean, what's the point? Quote

Whether Bid and Ask are on the same price level? (only if the spread = 0, what rather happens very rare...) Quote
⭐ fxus Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 Sheetal, If you look at the Ninja DOM for resting limit orders, you will see that resting bids on the left and resting offers on the right and there is a 1 level spread between bid and ask most of the time. So, when the buyers and sellers are executing market orders, there is a spread all the time and that's why it makes more sense to compare the footprint diagonally. However, from my experience, it is more important to see a cluster (at least 3 levels) of buyers and sellers to rotate the market. Regards, sheetal 1 Quote

⭐ fxus Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 lululee, OFA has that feature from the very beginning. Only problem is OFA does not work on any other bar type but their own "probe and rotation" type bar. I use footprint on directional renko bars. Regards, admis 1 Quote
