mograst
Ok guys, maybe i am ******, but i do not understand why this works that way. Why whn i make X pips gain, then i do make less profit that when i make X pips profit ( less spreade in both case) Just a quick example: ============== sold ad: 37156 closed ad: 37092 = 6,4 pips - 1.5 pips spreade = 4.9 pips profit: 0.47 ------------------------- buy ad: 37223 closed ad: 37259 = 3,6 pips +1.5 spread = 5.1 loose: 1.57 --------------------------- its just a quick example but it's always more loose for equal pips that win. Maybe i miss something here... .................or is there something MT4 brokers use on backside?
shabz
Are these your calculations or are they from the mt4 statement ? You have correctly taken 1.5 pips spread off the short trade, and incorrectly added the spread to your profit on the buy trade, your buy trade profit should only be +2.1 The only thing that comes to my mind is slippage, you didn't get the price you opened / closed each trade. Maybe you should post a screenshot of the trading statement, that should help to explain it further.
