coffee99
Hi Guys (and er, women, if appropriate) ... I was just checking out something on ebay and ran into this Forex system for sale ... http://cgi.ebay.com/FOREX-CURRENCY-TRADING-SYSTEM-STRATEGY-MAGIC-WAVE-/220800814622?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D769753799782946045 I was just curious if anyone was aware of it ..? or had purchased it ..? If so, what did you think ..? If by some chance this system has already been posted on indo-investasi ... please accept my apologies and feel free to point me in the right direction. I just thought it looked sort of interesting ... :)

conglo
Look at all four pics on the eBay page.. he's using a lot of stuff and there are at least 4 indicators at the bottom.
gringoh
You can also have a look at: Magic Breakout + It is blacklisted on II but you can google it ;-) coffee99
coffee99
"Look at all four pics on the eBay page.. he's using a lot of stuff and there are at least 4 indicators at the bottom." I must admit I am intrigued ... :) I haven't spent much time looking at his setup but I keep thinking that it can't be 'that' hard to figure out. I often stick up a 30 EMA and/or 50 EMA on my charts so I would guess the 3 lines are based on something similar. I am unsure what he's using on the bottom .. you are right .. he is using "a lot of stuff" ... ;) One nice thing .. I do get the impression that he is real trader and not just a system seller ... that's a pleasant change. :)
conglo
He mentions something else about harmonic patterns.. that takes it out of the realm of "simple".. but maybe that stuff is optional. I asked him a couple of questions, maybe he'll post the response. "Look at all four pics on the eBay page.. he's using a lot of stuff and there are at least 4 indicators at the bottom." I suspect it is probably mostly meat and potatoes with a fringe of frills and chantilly lace to pretty it up a bit ... ;) Thanks conglo ... :)
conglo
I've emailed the seller a few questions and he responded quickly. His responses are on the eBay page. Basically he is in the US and trades all the sessions only trading E/U and G/U, claims to be a fulltime trader.

coffee99
Sorry, I don't follow.. I emailed the eBay seller. Do we know him? I think the merits of German trading systems are being discussed on another thread ... I don't know the name of this seller. Here are the ebay seller's responses .... Q: Hi, Will your method work on higher TFs? I assume you trade the London session (?); I'm not available for the premium scalping sessions, I would need something more for H1 or H4. What pairs do you trade? Thanks, C. Jun-23-11 A: Higher TF yes but less enttries. I use 5 min chart mostly in asia and look for not more then 25/40 pip move . 15 min is the best as you get 2 to 4 entries per day in eur-usd and gbp-usd. It is more like a swing trading. Last night london open i had an entry in cable @ 6036 that ended @ 5950 . + 85 pip . Eur had an entry just like that .. The last H1 entry i have was on 6-20 @ 4260 that went all the way up for 150 pip ( 4425 ). Thats why i use 15 min because i end up making lot more as i take swings long and short ( Trending on H1 or H4 ) . I only use GBP-USD AND EUR-USD because they both have big daily range and i get my daily target easily between both of em . No need to bother anywhere else. I use to watch more then 20 pairs for years just to find out that its a wast of time. 1 or 2 pair with concentration and focus and you learn more about the pair as well how , when, and why they move . I hope i answer your question. Good Luck and Happy Trading. Q: I'm interested in your system and would like to know if the system gives live trading signals on chart? I am planning to learn it but would need to have that feature so I can trade with more confidence... Thanks. Jun-21-11 A: Hi there. Thanks for your interest. The answer to your question is NO sir i dont have an EA or something that gives signal like arrows or something else. OK now, My strategy is mainly based on PA ( Price Action ) and not the Indicators or EA. I open a trade after i see a ENGULFING ( Momentum ) Candle. I use 2 Indies to confirm that it is a right Candle. There are lots of EAs out there but they all based on Indicators which are lagging as you know. PA is the only profitable way to trade. Let the price guid you and tell you where it wants to go and just follow the price. You can achieve that by " Reading " the Candles at certain places. Once you understand how to read candles. you have all the confidense in the world. But again its just my opinion, You gotta do what works best for you . Thanks and have a great Trading Career. To me .. he sounds like a real trader ... (personally, I also like trading the AUD/USD but only long ... I don't like getting nailed by expensive swaps ... been there, done that ...) conglo
This post is just a warning. I must have had a brain fart and bought this.. no, I must have shite my skull. Bad, bad bad. His "manual" is worthless, he doesn't include all the indicators he does use and adds indicators that he doesn't refer to at all. No template; in his "manual" there is a heading for "Take Profit" but it's blank. He may know how to trade, but he can't market or explain his method for S**T. He agreed to a refund, I agreed not to leave him negative feedback which he has earned. If you want it, here's what he sent me. Don't blame me: http://www.multiupload.com/PMCS047PRI Thanks conglo, :) You are being way, way, way too hard on yourself ... Off a quick look I didn't think this trading system looked that bad .. at least the seller gives plenty of examples. However, speaking of brain farts we 'all' have them ... I was out at lunch today at one of my favorite restaurants and got chatting with the owner ... he told me that he was planning to sell the place in the very near future. Naturally, being as nosy as hell, I asked him what he was asking and I almost fainted when he took me the latest offer ... it was 'really' cheap ... much less than I think the restaurant is worth ... I know this sounds crazy (again, speaking of brain farts) but I came very close to offering to meet that price ... (and I know absolutely nothing about running a restaurant). Lunch was great but I'm still reeling over how close I came to making a serious offer ... I was just ready to blurt out ... "Geez, 'I'll' buy the place for that ..!!!" Fortunately, my wife was with me at the time ... LOL ... If I had made an offer I would likely not still be breathing ... (and my wife is very easygoing) ... LOL ... Running a restaurant is a really hard way to make a buck. Unfortunately, we are all susceptible to brain farts on a regular basis ... mine would have been devastating to my future health and well being ... Yours was a very mild ... not bad at all case .... ;) :) conglo

conglo
Thanks, coffee. My wife and my shrink tell me that all the time. The guy did give me a refund and I didn't flame him so all is well. Thanks for your story. I'm "nosy as hell", too, that made me laugh. I had a good friend who bought a restaurant; it took over his entire life. He ended up selling it at a loss and he was one smart businessman. According to the Small Business Administration (SBS) about 90% of all new businesses fail within 5 years; the rate for new restaurants is around 99%. So, I guess you have a better chance with forex than a restaurant. Fart on!! Thanks conglo, :) You are being way, way, way too hard on yourself ... Think of a classy neighborhood Steak House with linen napkins/tablecloths, the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen, fabulous food and very affordable prices. Since you're nosy (like me! ... LOL) the first offer was for $ 142,000 but Angelo's landlord wouldn't approve the purchaser. (apparently he had a criminal record) The current highest offer is for $ 115,000 which is an absolutely steal based on his volume of business and location. Unfortunately, Angelo also pointed out that he's at the restaurant about a 100 hours a week ... and when he's not at the restaurant he's thinking/worrying about it. Yes, in comparison ... Forex is easy .... :) :)
